Arc 7 - ‘It’s Not Real’ - Part 2
I leave the bed and enter the bathroom. It is has a huge bath and a massive mirror. I look closely into the mirror and find out how I look like. I have black hair, which is so messy that you would think I have never combed it, and I also black eyes. My skin is brown. I am wearing a black shirt with black jeans and black trainers. I look at my face, and I find out that I am not particularly good looking. I don’t know why, but I know a lot of things about the world outside, but nothing about myself and a few other stuff. So, I know how good looking people look and how bad looking people look. I think I am in the middle. My face is oval shaped. There is no facial hair anywhere on my face.
Later, I decided to take off my shirt. Once it was removed, I found out that I have six pack? And my muscles are massive. It looks like a body of someone who has been training for all their life. So, I put the shirt back on and look around the house, or prison for a bit longer. I went outside and some things were different. The hallway is small and the room opposite mine is missing. So, I re-enter the room and decide to head to the library only to find out the door is no longer there.
After a little while, I leave this room, and as soon as I do that, the room disappears. The whole ‘house’ turns into a massive circle. A kid appears. He moves past me, I try to talk to, so I turn around only to find out that he is no longer there.

Next a little boy and a little girl passed by.
A teenager is sitting on a bench reading a comic.
A man is flying above me.
A room appears in front of me. I look into it and a man sitting there get up from his chair, which is connected to computer screens. He says nothing either and he moves past me. As soon as he does, he vanishes.
A man behind me appears. He claps his hands. I look back and see a familiar figure. He has an arrogant smile on his face. He vanishes too. One thing I find weird is how a lot of them looks a lot like me.
Next, I see a girl with blonde hair appear before me. Then a girl with black hair. Then a woman with grey hair. Then a man with grey hair. But they all vanish without a trace.
I run around but there is nothing else in here. No doors. No windows. Nothing. But then I hear a similar whisper, “it’s not real”. Which is increasing every time it is repeated but this one time, more words are added to it.
“It’s not real. It’s inside your min...” before he could finish, the voice vanished and once again, I was standing alone in the middle of a circular room with no way out.
I just stood there for a while and then all of a sudden, all the people I saw earlier and more showed up.
A kid inside a cylinder full of chemicals shouts, “Save me.”
A kid in school uniform says, “Everything out here is amazing.”
The same kid but a little older says, “nothing is good in this world.”
An overweight teenager reading a comic says, “why do I exist?”
The man who was flying earlier but is now just floating in front of me said, “It was not worth it. I should have been different.”

“There is no meaning in having feelings. They slow you down.” Said the man who was sitting in the middle of computer screens earlier.
The man with an arrogant smile said, “I did well by leaving them behind.”
WHAT DOES THIS ALL MEAN?
But in an instant, all of their different opinions were changed and they all said, “we did well by leaving them behind.”
What does this all mean? And why do some of them look like me?
“SHUT UP! ALL OF YOU!” As soon as I shouted these words, they all just disappeared.
Someone appeared behind me, it was a little girl with blonde hair. He hair was very long. She had blue eyes. The little girl aged so fast in front of me that she was now my age. She looked at me and said, “We were friends once!”
“We were?” I asked the question but there was no answer.
“We were friends once! I wasted most of the time helping you become a normal person, but you ignored me and all my efforts. When I said hi, you said goodbye. Is this how you treat people who help you?” Said the girl with blonde hair.
“What are you talking about?” I said but she just disappeared.
“Brother, I looked up to you. I raced behind you but you were too fast. I reached your hand but you were too tall. You never looked back or looked down. I looked up to you but you never noticed me. Is this how you treat your only sibling?” Said the girl with black hair. Just like the previous girl, this one started as a kid and then aged too fast in front of me. She vanished before I say anything.
A man and a woman with grey hairs appeared. The looked like they were in their 50s. They said, “We gave you a family. A life you never had before. We made sure we do everything to make you happy, but what did we get in return? Nothing. Not even a smile.” As they said that, they vanished.
“What kind of person was I?” I said to myself. “What happened to everyone?”
The scenery changed once again and this time someone with a hood on his or her head came through. He was wearing robes. He looked like a wizard. And he started to remove his hood and said, “see, I told you I can neutralise you.”
I had a blank expression on my face. I have no idea what’s going on. I have no idea what I have done to everyone.
“Who are you?” I asked the person who came in here. He was an old man. Not too old but not too young either. I think he might be in his 60s.
“A friend,” he replied with a smile on his face.

8 584Reaching for One's Desire: Kane's Ascension
After living most of his life as a worthless orphan, Michael Kane only desired for the chance to make something of himself in this world of monsters and magic. In a world where only wealth and power mattered, he was literally at the bottom of the food chain. He fucking hated it. Always having felt that he was destined for something greater than what was essentially a beggar’s life, Michael held hope that things would change with the arrival of the Day of Gaia’s Gift, which happened exactly halfway through the year. It was the day in which everyone that was fifteen years old was given access to the System and was given a ‘Class’ depending on your aptitude, two if you were exceptional and lucky. It was his hope that he was given at least one class worthy of becoming an Adventurer, which would help him start his path to a life of wealth, fame, luxury and pleasure. Being an orphan that never knew his parents and having no one that he cared for nor that cared for him, it was not surprising that these were Michael’s goals. Little does he know, that he is destined for even greater things.

It is always darkest before the dawn. After the divorce, Katie Fox was forced to live with her mother in New York after the judge ruled that her father, a former Army Ranger, wasn’t stable enough. They called him ‘that crazy bunker guy’ or ‘that paranoid freak.’ Whatever they called him, Christopher Fox was a Prepper. He taught those willing to listen how to survive in a catastrophe and how to prepare for the end of the world. More than that though, he was her father and she would rather spend her life in his underground bunker than another minute in that New York highrise. So, she ran away. The date is November 28th, Black Friday and hell has been unleashed on the world. A freak storm mixes with a deadly virus that turns its victims into mindless hunters of flesh. Katie will have to use everything her father taught her to survive and reach the safety of his underground bunker. Note from the author: Thanks for stopping by! 8 163The Egg Guardian
First and foremost, I must apologize as this story is currently on an indefinite hiatus. School, my main project, and writer's block have gotten in the way. I was rather unprepared when I began posting this and kind of just did it on a whim. Thus, I shall ensure I am thoroughly prepared before posting anything else, but I plan to return to this someday to conitnue it. What better retirement plan for a scumbag than to become a demon? Whether he likes it or not, that's Berrick's only choice. Heaven thinks hell is getting a little lukewarm and Berrick is just the guy to heat things up again. Follow Berrick as he works for home and hell as one of the few Egg Guardians. Author's note: Are you looking for bad writing, terrible dialogue, short chapters, and slow releases? Then you've come to the right place! This is honestly just something I'm writing for fun and figured I'd publish while I'm working on my main project, but I always appreciate constructive criticism so I can improve. Picture obtained on google.
