Arc 2 - Beautiful Day - Part 1

Today is the day. For the last few months, I have wanted to go around the world using my powers. I wanted to go to every beautiful place I could think about and eat the best food possible. I have enough money for all the food and I also had the power to check every single place possible,

I woke up at 6 AM British time, as I was in London at that time. I started my beautiful day in the UK. I have never really had proper British breakfast in a long time. So, I went to a café. I ordered some tea with Sausages, eggs and beans. I finished my breakfast as soon as I could and then left off to see great landmarks around the world and see great places. I went from Cliffs of Moher in Ireland to Seljalandsfoss in Iceland. From Mount Everest to Grand Canyon National Park. I checked out many different places before visiting Japan.

I always wanted to visit Japan but never had the chance to do so. I wanted to go there and eat their food, meet some people there, visit their tourist attractions and much more. So, near the noon, I found myself in Japan. Before eating food, I wanted to check out the best places in the country. I went to some of the best attractions such as Mount Fuji, Tokyo, Itsukushima Shrine, Kyoto, Osaka, Kyushu, and many more places. With my speed, I was able to cover these places in less than an hour. I really wanted to see Cherry Blossom, but June is not the time for it.

It was time for lunch. I was not sure what to order at the restaurant, so I checked online for the best food in Japan. Some of the food recommendations were Sushi, Ramen, Tempura, and many more. But I only ordered a few.

A few minutes later, the food arrived at my table. I started with Sushi, which I have never tried before because I was not a very big fan of fish, but to my surprise, it had an amazing taste. Then after that, I tried Tempura because fried food is the best, but this was much different than any other fried food I had eaten in London before. Then I finished my lunch with Ramen, which I had tasted before in a restaurant in London, but this was so much better. I used to hate spicy food, but after trying out this food, I started to fall in love with spicy food. After eating these three meals, I went on a little trip to the Philippines.

The Philippines have amazing islands and tourist attractions. I visited Palawan, Chocolate Hills, Puerto Princesa, Banaue and many more places in less than an hour. I went around the whole country and checked their most beautiful places. Moving faster than the speed of sound sure is helpful. Before I knew it, I was looking at other beautiful places in other countries, like Malaysia, Indonesia, etc.

I was getting hungry again. So, I went to China this time. I ordered Kung Pao Chicken, Dumplings, Peking Roasted Duck, etc. I did not want to eat too much because I still wanted to try other food from other countries. After finishing my supper, I visited around the country at my fastest speed and it took me 3 hours to cover the whole country. After I was done with China, I left Asia for South America.

In South America, I visited the Amazon rainforest, Salar de Uyuni, Fitz Roy, Galápagos Islands, Foz do Iguaçu, Caracol State Park, etc. I visited all of these places and by the time it was over, it was getting very late. So, I decided that before I go eat, I will swim in the ocean.

The Atlantic Ocean is massive. It has many different islands in it and I wanted to see them. I can hold my breath in water for hours and with my speed, I was able to swim super fast. I was basically Aquaman but faster. I looked around these beautiful islands. I swam deep in the ocean, I could see different sea life. It was dark, but I was able to whip out a device using the powers that would light up the place around me, so I could give it a better look.

After swimming in the ocean for some time, I moved on to the Caribbean region. I was swimming and I came across an island. It was beautiful and there were many people, who all seemed like they were tourists. So, I went to the island and ate some food and drank the most exotic drinks there were.

After a while, I decided that I will have my dinner in Mexico. I went to Mexico City and found myself a restaurant that was open and it was big, so it can only mean that they had a huge variety of food and drinks I could choose from. I ordered everything they had on the menu and it was a lot, but I was hungry and I had not eaten in like an hour. After 30 minutes, I was done with eating and drinking, so I only wanted to make a few more stops before the end of my day.

Before ending my day, I went to Los Angeles and hovered above the city. I looked around the beautiful city in the night time. I was about to leave but I thought, why not check out other cities during the night too. So, I went to other cities like Tokyo, Beijing, etc. only to find out that it is nearly morning in there or it is already morning in there.

So, I decided that I will get some sleep. I teleported back to Antarctica, to my secret base, which is my house. In my house, I went to my room and slept on the most comfortable beds I have created using my power. I was tired.

I woke up in the morning and reflected upon yesterday and thought it was amazing. The best thing about yesterday was that I did not have my phone with me, so I was not distracted at all.

In the morning, I was drinking some tea, when I turned on my phone only to find out that Emily and Emma called me many times in a very short period of time. I tried to call them back, but I decided not call them as it was different time zone, and I thought they might be sleeping. So, I turned on the TV only to see that every channel has been talking about a horrific incident.

“...the horrifying act of yesterday only confirms that terrorists are getting more and more powerful...” a news reporter said. So, I changed the channel from one to another quickly to find out what was happening.

“...what happened yesterday can happen again...”

“...it could be your city next...”

“What are they talking about?” I muttered.

“...millions have died...”

“MILLIONS?!” I shouted. “WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!”

So, I went to the control room and using my technopathy, I was able to find out what was happening. An entire city was destroyed. However, before it was destroyed, a video was published on every channel.

The video starts with zooming in on a face of a middle-aged man. “We know you are out there!” He started talking. “We have tracked you and know that your powers have increased by a massive amount. Have you been training? Well, if you have, then I want to challenge you. I want to see how powerful you have become.”

“Who could he be talking about?” I asked a rhetorical question.

The video continued, “I want to challenge you, Nazar.”

“WHAT THE HELL? How does he know my name and about my power?” I asked myself in confusion.

“I want to see how fast you have become. You have 10 minutes to find me and if you do not, the entire city will be destroyed. Your time starts now.” The man in the video said.

“But the video was uploaded and was shown everywhere at 3 PM, British time…” before I could finish I looked at my phone to see that the calls I was getting were at the same time.

I searched for what happened, and the result I found was more horrifying than anything else. After 10 minutes, the man released a massive burst of energy and killed everyone for hundreds of miles and he recorded the whole thing.

I sat there in shock and could not even think properly...
