A shock wave of mana, Yog is sent flying back. Purple energy forming all over William's body, pure mana engulfing him. He forms a sphere of energy around himself and Rel.
Yog get's up rubbing his head:"Hah! No matter if you're a mage! What can you two do alone?!"
William looks around and counts, seventeen bandits remained in total, one giant with five possible mages and the rest gunmen. He senses mana bending behind him and turns quickly.
Loke:"They are not alone..."
Rel:"Father!"
William:"Loke!?"
Loke:"Hahahaa...I may be old but even this Elf has some tricks up his sleeve..." He says as he takes out a cracked talisman, at the same time the dead Loke starts to disappear.
Yog:"Illusion magic? Hah! You have one extra deadbeat mage without mana! I see no difference."
Loke:"Hold them off as long as you can William..." He winks at William
William understands what Loke is trying to say:(He called for re-enforcement...)
Yog:"Hold us off?...Mages, Blast him"
On Yog's orders five mages start blasting fire, earth and water magic at William's barrier.
Yog:"What the hell?!"
The barrier absorbed every attack, even William seems slightly confused and looks back at Loke.
Loke:"Pure mana, it has no elemental weakness and absorbed the attacks's mana."
William:"But I still feel my mana draining..."
Loke:"Ofcourse it takes mana over time to keep it up... You have no training in regard to mana consumption, your drain is probably massive."
William:"So staying on the defensive is not a choice..."
Yog:"Stop shitting me you brat! You stand no chance! Your master their is out of mana and that girl went back to sleep, you're alone. Surrender now, we don't have to make this ugly."
William slightly lowers his head, hiding his expression (He's right...Even if re enforcements are comming, how long will it take them to arrive? My barrier won't last longer than ten more minutes...It's over...I should surrender and wait for them to come, maybe leave some kind of tracks behind?...No but then they will kill Loke...I cannot lower the barrier and I cannot take them on on my own...I'm just one guy...What could I possibly do?...I'm useless, weak...)

William lowers the barrier, falling on his knees.
Yog gains an evil smirk, and starts to move towards William with his steamgun held from the barrel:"We were told to take you alive...Not conscious..."
William:"Told?...." At this William realises something (They were hired...Someone purposely is after me...All those lives...lost because of me...) Flash backs occur as he remembers the general's words.
*Teskol:"You're an important person ambassador..."*
Yog is now a foot away from William, readying to bash William's head with the steamgun.
William:"He was right..." William sends fort another shock wave, sending Yog flying backwards again.
Yog:"GOD FUCKING DAMNIT KIT! STOP THAT SHIT! Stop fighting and maybe we'll leave your friends alive!"
William:"No...I'm done giving up...For the first time in my entire life...I have worth... I have people who risked their LIVES FOR ME..." William starts to tear up "Enough of this....For once...I have a reason to live... I have a reason to FIGHT"
William stands up, opening his arms wide. Raw mana surging fort from his body surrounding him completely, enhancing his body. The ground starts to tremble, and shatter, stones start to float upwards. The bandits break in a cold sweat and start shooting everything they got at William.
After the smoke has cleared from magic and projectile hitting raw mana, a figure comes out. Still William, but slightly different.
His hair turned white with strands of purple, his eyes light grey with a fiery purple aura. His body full of glowing purple rune like inscriptions from his forehead all the way down to his arms and feet.
Yog being the only bandit able to speak after this appearance:"What in the four kingdoms are you!?"
William:"My name, is William Smith...I am a good for nothing gamer, NEET and above all... A fucking human." At this statement William leaps forward his arms bathed in raw mana, he punches Yog so hard the cracking bones can be heard all over the forest opening, Yog is sent flying into two trees as his body was ripped in half from the force exerted.

Loke:"William hurry! You won't be able to keep that form for too long!"
William leaps again towards the giant grabbing his leg and throwing him over six other bandits, crushing them to death. He then proceeds to throwing bandit to bandit left and right until only five bandits remain. The bandits terrified from the raging demon in front of them drop anything they were holding and run for it.
William shouts, his expression the meaning of pissed off:"YOU'RE GOING NO WHER....!!" The purple aura surrounding William disappears, his eyes close and his body goes ragdoll as he falls to the ground face first. He tries to open his eyes one last time...blinking two last images...The paws of a beast moving towards him...a couple more sets of legs standing in front of the beast...Darkness, William has passed out.

Back in Rosevalt, a couple minutes before the assault on the carriage. Leya with Rax heading back to their island using the ethereal paths connecting the islands. Instead of a mansion, a large and very wide tree was located at the centre of the island, a tree with a white bark and silver leaves. Holes for windows and a door were on the bark, some benches on the outside and on one of them two Elven men sat. Leya got off Rax and was going to move to the other side of the tree when a voice called.
Eltaor Daeo:"And where do you think you are going Miss?"One of the men called, getting up from the bench with a wide smile.
Leya:"Ahh....Eltaor....I was just taking Rax to his grounds...."
Alinar:"You worried me sister, weren't we supposed to train today?" The second man got up, an annoyed expression on his face.
Leya:"About that...I kind of forgot..."
Alinar:"Still a child as ever I see..."
Leya:"I'm 210!"
Alinar:"Still a child. You're a princess Leya, second branch true but still royalty after all. What would mother think of this?"
Leya:"Don't bring her into this..."
Alinar:"And what if grandfather found out his favourite granchild was off hunting voidsters?"
Leya:"As if you never went to hunt Alinar...."
Alinar:"I was only a century old, and I went with father not with some random elf, not to mention the other six guards?"
Leya:"I was with Rel! And Rax was with us! We were fine brother, we had a warp crystal with us."
Alinar:"You didn't waste another one...Father was not pleased last time, warp crystals are a rare resource."
Leya:"It wasn't wasted! It was an emergency!"
Alinar:"Emergency? What ha....That mana..what is this power I sense?.."
Leya:"This burst of mana...William!?"
Alinar's eyes light up with curiosity and he moves closer to his sister:"A male name...Who may that be my young sister?"
Leya:"Oh calm down you're as overprotective as father!"
Alinar:"For good reason."
Leya:"*Sigh* He is the human that was supposed to arrive at Priest Keil's island, we found him and took him to Loke's household."
Alinar:"Eltaor?"
Eltaor:"I can confirm sir, the mana presence is coming from Sir Runewalker's quaters."
Alinar:"Such mana capacity...Well then let's go Leya, Eltaor call the carriage."
Leya:"Where are we going brother? Alinar?"
Alinar:"Home, sister. We have been called back to WillowHeart. The dragon carriage has been assigned to us for faster travel. Eltaor?"
Eltaor has his eyes closed in apparent meditation:"The carriage will be ready in two minutes sir, there seems to have been an order mishap"
Alinar:"Verywell... Tell them we shall wait at the Runewalker's residence, I wish to meet with this William"
Leya:"Hurry now or you'll miss your prey brother..."
Alinar walks off his eyes dark and an evil grin, with his noble attire, the two did not go well together.

Author: Tried my best at making William's fight give him the spotlight, they are simple bandits after all, shouldn't have expected much from them... Hope you've enjoyed so far :D please leave a comment or a rating :). Also I'd like to ask, is this length appropriate or would it be better if each chapter was longer? I was thinking about it.... but my beloved cliff hangers....:)

The Faction Contributor [Sci-Fi LitRPG]
While casually studying for his upcoming university exam, Aven suddenly felt the world around him start warping. It started with flashes of light appearing from nowhere, quickly escalating into his whole world becoming an absolute mess of flickering pixels and chaotic color flows, as if reality had become a malfunctioning glitched screen. What he could recognize as numbers, letters, and strange symbols flew everywhere around him, obviously trying to form a coherent whole to be displayed before his eyes, but such attempts kept failing, again and again. Before he could even start thinking about how both mesmerizing and absurd this spectacle was, however, it all stopped, as suddenly as it had begun. Accompanying the end of this unique show, 2 things happened. First, knowledge had spontaneously appeared in his mind and he could perfectly understand it, as if it had always been there, just inaccessible. Second, a weird simultaneously hot and cold energy had made its apparition inside his body completely unannounced. Aven had just simply and purely awakened his innate ability and the energy potential of his cells, joining the world of the supers, a minority that had always controlled and protected the world since ancient times, by becoming one of them. *** Do you have a sci-fi itch to scratch? Maybe that story can help~ It’s not a comic story that doesn’t take itself seriously. It’s also not a grimdark story, going to the depth of making sure the environment is the worst one ever. It’s just a serious story, a rational one, one you can comfortably dive into, written by a guy who already got some writing experience by having seriously written more than 2 000 pages of another serious story prior to starting this one. Enjoy *** Update: 3 chapters every week (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) Chapters: Around 3 000 words each.
