Meet John Doe.
A 20 year old college student.
Tall, well kept hair, dirty blonde, green eyes.
Descent student.
Average, middle-class family.
Physically Active, involved in various activities.
Enjoys pasta and games.
Dislikes crowds and most seafood.
Preps for the apocalypse as a hobby.
Preps for the “3 probable ends”:
The world runs out of oil
Large solar flare hits the planet
Economic collapse due to some reason
Downloaded and compiled tons of survival resources.
All information is compressed and rewritten into a 400 page book.
The apocalypse came, and it was something that he never imagined.
His resources were still useful though.
However, he died in his sleep the night before and the survivors didn’t bother to check why. They did not last long.
XXXXXXXXXX opened his eyes to the sunlight streaming through his window, onto his face. He squinted, puzzled about what was happening. He was John Doe, reincarnated with his mind intact. However, up until now he had not lived his life, but rather watched from the sidelines. It was as if someone had pressed the fast forward button on his life. Each year seemed to last only a single day and while he could influence how he lived, ultimately, it was not his life. Today though, things were different; time moved at the normal pace and John could truly feel the world that was slowly moving around him. Now he was Shiga Wateya, 3rd child out of 4 in the Wateya main family. For 13 days he had waited, and now he was in his body, his life waiting to be lived.
The world Shiga had reincarnated into was a game like one based on martial arts. Shiga lived in the Zodiac Dynasty. A huge dynasty that controlled more land than was on Earth before he had left it. The Dynasty was divided up into the 12 signs:

Thankfully Shiga had gotten control of his body when he had, because today was examination day. Young men and women from all over the sign would pour into the capital in order to take the exam. The exam was an imperial exam that would test potential cultivators’ aptitudes for cultivation and other important elements to cultivating. There were a total of 4 tests, each focused on a different element of cultivation.
Affinity Test
Talent Test
Survival Test
Dao Test
Together these tests made up the cultivation exam and they determined the future of many people, because many schools and sects would watch these exams for young geniuses that they could recruit to their school.
Shiga stepped onto a crane magic beast beside his parents. They quickly flew to the capital of the Camel Sign. As they approached, Shiga could see flocks of other magical bird beasts and land magical beasts all making their way to the capital. They touched down just outside of town and Shiga went over to the check in line while his parents went to join the crowd of onlookers. After waiting for a short time, Shiga got a pass with his name and number on it and was told to enter the examination plaza. Stepping into the huge cobbled plaza, he saw that there were thousands of seats in the plaza. Many of them were filled with other members of his generation. He quickly walked over the the seat with his number and sat down. With one last look around, Shiga began to patiently wait for the first test, the test of Aptitude, to begin.

Breathe in the Embers
In a world filled with heroes, Martin Kumalo has long since become disenchanted with them. They have become too real, too human, too flawed. He turns his mind to the heroes of fantasy novels every day to escape the disappointing mundanity of his world. Those two worlds, the fantasy of his mind, and the reality he so often tries to escape, are set to collide in a way he might find uncomfortably personal, for across the stars eyes of blazing blue are watching for souls such as his, and are always hungry for more.

Sarsaparilla's Scary Super Power. Completed
Sarsaparilla is an older teenage girl living on Mars. And, like many other young people around her, she has a super power. Or, rather, she is supposed to have a super power. Only she has never been able to activate it, she doesn’t even know what her super power is. This annoys her, tremendously. But she hides this behind a really sweet smile. Adalace is another teenage girl, also on Mars. She knows what her own super power is, and it is quite a good one. She is also really cute… so long has she keeps her feelings under control and doesn’t let out anything from her dark past. Teylon is a man, currently living on Earth. He likes to think of himself as still young, even if he is over fifty. He’s a bit smug about his successful career and is thinking of retiring… until a sadly unfortunate event leads him to the conclusion that he had better immigrate to Mars. Immediately. Apparently, meeting one’s own Angel of Death tends to cause people to make profound changes to their lives… Mars society had better brace itself, because once these three people, plus another three also not so quite stable individuals, collide with each other, the resulting explosion is not going to leave anyone on Mars unaffected. This is another Esmeralda, the Angel of Death, story. It follows on from my previous two such stories, but it is in no way dependent on the previous stories. They can be read in any order. It is fully written and proof read (using Word for Windows, no real editor touched this transcript) and comes to about 247,000 words (about 895 Royal Road pages). It is organized into 50 chapters and I will be publishing them roughly one per day. In my writing, there are multiple characters and multiple points of view. Each change in a point of view is introduced by a header, giving the viewpoint character’s name first, and possibly a title. Inside a Point of View section, dialog in italics represents the Point of View character’s thoughts, while dialog between quotes represent normal spoken dialog. This story is very much inspired by the anime A Certain Scientific Railgun. However I have only taken some elements from the anime, and changed everything I took to make my own story, and so it does not count as fanfiction. Yeah, I know, the book cover page isn’t very good. It’s the best I could do, by tracing over a stock image. The two ladies shown are supposed to be Adalace and Sarsaparilla. Ideally I would have liked there to be two images of this pair, one where they are smiling sweetly and looking cute, and one where they are looking really angry and dangerous. But that totally exceeds my graphics abilities. You will just have to imagine it.
