《Chaos uploaded》Chapter 12- Natural predator(part 2)

Author's note: Soo...this was a bit of a challenge for me to write, since I had no idea how to do it...and so I simply improvised a lot. XD Also it is shorter than usual, mainly because it is a filler to some extend. XD
======================================
Inas POV
As I ran, I couldn't help but notice how quickly my body, and mind adapted to situations. Why, exactly? Because even if temporarily, I managed to create legs! Legs good enough to run as fast as the predator! But yet, there was something else. Something that made things quite harder for me.
I lacked any sort of eyesight, meaning I often bumped into obstacles. Get out of the way, carts! get out of the way, farmers! I couldn't help but find the situation nervous, since I bumped into something every few seconds. I felt like I was as lost as a blind man in a shootout!
The windows came up so often that I swear, even if I had sight I wouldn't be able to see anything! I mean, sure it is helpful to keep track of my health, but there is a limit to it!
Stop hugging the wall!-3 HP
open the door before entering!-5 HP
(failed)Hug of death!-8 HP
You tried to run, but a cart was in the way!-5 HP
By running constantly, your body became more agile!+1 AGI
See?....well the last window was a bit more helpful, but it isn't enough to make me escape my predator, and the damage was constant, to the point it was outdoing my regeneration!
Somebody help me! Anybody! Any villager, please save me from this bloodthirsty monster!
But even as I thought such words as strongly as possible, I couldn't hear any footsteps except the one from the predator, which was just a few feet away from me.

Amiita POV
Oh, gueez! Who knew that slimes could be so fast? If she was silver-colored, I would consider her the fabled silver slime which appeared in old RPGs, which give a lot of XP if defeated! But that made it all the more fun to go after her!
And then, I realized something. The slime was extremely clumsy, to the point she kept bumping into everything. She had bumped straight into a wall, although instead of staying quiet and falling down into the ground, like a relatively normal human would, she ended up 'bouncing' on the wall, and nearly going into my arms.
Keyword, nearly. She passed by me, just inches out of my reach as she returned to running...leaving me to hit the wall as well. Thankfully, due to my specie, I wasn't hurt by the collision, but it made me somewhat surprised...and excited. This was somebody I needed to catch, even if it is only for the challenge of it! And so, I returned to the slime chase.
Next time, I managed to hug the slippery slime...and she simply slipped: I hugged her too tight, and then she acted almost like a soap, slipping off my grasp and moving under my arms, then between my legs and escaping behind me. It took a few seconds for me to realize what had just happened, and all I could do was to be glad that I wasn't wearing a skirt, and instead was wearing leather armor!
After I recovered from the shock, I tried to run after the slime, my face now red in embarrassment in the next few seconds, before turning back into its normal color...and now the girl ran inside of a wooden cart full of fruits, hard enough to knock it down, and then kept running forward without losing any speed. Meanwhile, I tried to jump over the cart...only to land on the fruits, and slipped down, falling down on my tail.

I quickly got back on my feet, to chase my prey. But every time I got too close to her... the slime girl got lucky, and managed to gain some distance from me again! The chase kept going strong, though, I'm not letting such rare prey run away from me!
"..Stop...running..." I mumbled, panting as I grabbed the slime's arm...and then I felt everything go black, along with my thoughts. Too soft...too comfortable...
Inas POV
I was extremely tired after a dozen of minutes of running around, although by the end of it...I didn't manage to throw the hunter off. My arm was caught by the hunter, and even though I could just break off simply by shapeshifting... I was too exhausted for it.
At this point, maybe the death penalty wouldn't be so bad, at least I'd get a small rest. But yet, death never came. Instead, I felt a weight on my body, as I was pushed onto the ground, and there was...something...or rather, somebody on top of me. At first I was scared. Very scared, I was helpless to whatever that thing wanted.
But then all fear disappeared, in the moment I heard a noise. The noise of snoring, along with the feeling of something sticky, warm over my body...probably being saliva. Gross! But yet...I was far too tired to care about such things like how gross the drool was, and instead, enjoyed the body warmth as I slowly drifted down to sleep, right under my predator.
Innkeeper POV
I couldn't help but become curious about the mess outside of the inn. There were various adventurers and travelers who even paid the bill and headed outside, even before they had finished their meal.
Anything that could do such thing was far from something normal. Deciding to leave the rest of the shift for my assistant, I came out of the inn...only to see a hectic scene, of a draconian chasing a slime in the shape of a woman.
...I...surely have never seen anything like this in my life. They both looked exhausted, but yet, they were faster than I could ever hope to run.
"They've been at it for half hour." A man told me, helping me understand something. How inhuman these people were...but yet, I saw the draconian finally grab the slime's arm, and falling on top of her.
At first, I was somewhat worried about what sort of scene might happen...but instead, I saw a sight that could only be considered 'cute'. the draconian fell asleep on top of the slime, and the slime soon followed the dragon into the land of dreams.
"Alright folks, the show is over." I declared boldly, before anybody did anything wrong. "Somebody help me to carry them to a room in the inn." I added, hoping there was somebody kind in the crowd. After all this was done and over, I'd ask for payment, but for now, it just didn't sit right for me to let these two sleep on the streets, even if they didn't seem the kind to carry money.

Beyond the Bridge
There are many worlds, many multiverses, and you can move between them via the Federation's Bridge network - magical gateways to other worlds. The world dubbed "C'thon" by its inhabitants - or Gamma-Theta-Nu-649, if you ask the Federation's bureaucracy - was deserted when the Federation found it. The "civilized" races had all died out centuries prior, and the wilderness had grown downright feral in their absence. Now, the lonely Federation outpost of Bridgetown is under constant threat from the hungry wildlife, malicious fey, territorial goblins, and wandering undead that surround it. The town's distance from the Federation's centers of power means that it gets precious few of the resources that it needs to stay safe and afloat. Enter the Guild of Adventurers, a plucky and disparate crew who do the Federation's dirty work in exchange for coin. One team, the first of many, crosses the Bridge to C'thon looking for fame, fortune, and (if they're lucky) the answer to a newly-discovered Prophecy. They'll get much more than they bargained for, although first they need to avoid being eaten by the local wildlife. Updates weekly on Wednesday. Chapters will be as long as they need to be for them to work, which means they can vary. If anything drops below 2500 words, I'll post an extra chapter if I have one ready. [PS: This is not a litRPG, but I do borrow heavily from TTRPGs for inspiration, and the general setting and storyline is from a TTRPG campaign I'm running.] [PPS: This is my first attempt at writing long-form fiction. I'm not trying to make a great piece of literature or have a multi-novel overarching plot, but hopefully it'll still be a fun story - let me know what you think in the comments.] [PPPS: Cover image is from a free-download wallpaper by Tyler Edlin; I do not own it, and will take it down immediately if requested.]
