THE LIAR FACE DEMON (Legendary Wizard Saint)
J. TNANGA
Chapter 24: Have you ever felt the sweetest of all bliss?
Demon after defeating the bears (or to put in another way, after exterminating and eating the bears) Demon took no break teleporting back to his beloved’s side. Marytus. He arrived only to find the area empty.
“Wait…..What?” thought Demon. “Where did she go? Did she manage to move on her own?”
“No that shouldn’t be possible……her conditions were terrible” thought Demon. “And if she did leave she would have left a message somewhere”
Demon then frantically looked for a message, but did not find anything that would lead him to a clue as to Marytus’ whereabouts. Demon then sat on the cold ground in sadness.
“Did I do something?” thought Demon. “Maybe she hates me? I was the one that led Roshturn to her death……if only I destroyed that bear earlier, then Roshturn would still be alive”
As demon continue to reminisce about his past and those good moments with both Roshturn and Marytus, he heard the end of wave’s sound, symbolizing the end of today’s first wave.
Demon no longer cared for this silly little tournament. It was because of this tournament that Roshturn died. With no further interest in it, Demon makes his way out. He’s going to search for Marytus and find her at all cost!!
Demon then started making his way out. He went back to the original place he was in when he first arrived in this underground tunnel. He looks up and see the blue sky he has gotten accustomed to. And in an instant, he teleported himself, outside the tunnel. He found himself standing in the arena with a couple of other demons.
He looked behind him, in front of him, next to himself, but not once did he catch a glance of Marytus. Marytus was nowhere to be found. Demon grew anxious. He could not calm down. He was worried sick about her, he doesn’t know what to do. He feels helpless and completely lost.

The moment Demon appeared, everyone in the stadiums and especially the demons that got save by Demon, started calling his name out……in praise.
“The bear eater Demon!! The bear eater Demon!! The bear eater Demon!! The bear eater Demon!! The bear eater Demon!!”
“Demon, you are the best!!!” said a bunch of demons that Demon saved when he attacked those two bears. “We owe you our lives, man”
“Yeah, way to go for Demon!!” said another group of demons that were standing in the arena longer since they got taken out. “Bear eater Demon!!”
“That’s right, we should keep this going, everybody!!!” yelled a typical demon A in the stadium. “We have a bear eating Demon right here!!”
“Bear eater Demon!! Real-life bear eating Demon, the true Beast of the century, the real life bear devourer, Demon!! Demon!! Demon!!” yelled one of the demon youth. “Those bears were terrified of Demon and Demon is Human!!! Real-life bear eater Demon!!”
‘Bear eating Demon’ became a phenomenon throughout the demon Continent. Of course Demon was completely ignoring its existence, or more like Demon wasn’t even aware that demons everywhere in the whole continent of demons has already heard his name, and that the bear eating Demon had become a motto to what later generations of demons will follow the teachings of and train themselves and their young to accomplish.
Demon in one moment became legendary. It was not every day that demons got to watch other demons destroyed bears. My bad, what I meant to say was, it wasn’t every day that demons got to watch another demon completely devour and terrified the existential entities known as gigantic demonic bears.
And if I said it wasn’t every day they got to watch A DEMON DO THAT TO THE GIGANTIC BEARS, do you think they have ever seen a human DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT? Of course not.

That’s what made Demon so famous. He is human yet his strengths so exceed that of any human anyone has ever seen so far. He’s something from another world…….He’s like a legendary Wizard Saint or something…..
All throughout the stadium, demons were talking to one another. They talk on and on and speculate.
“What are the limits to Demon-sama’s magic?” they wondered. “Were they any limits to it?”
“Is Demon a legendary wizard saints or something?” they wondered. “Being a wizard, there are tons of them around, but being a person as kind as Demon to bother saving the day and helping all those demons escape the underground tunnel, was something else completely. Demon was powerful than any wizards they have ever seen, he wasn’t just any wizard, he had to be legendary!!! A legendary wizard saint!!!”
As the demons in the stadium talk on and on, most of them did not realized the gloomy facial expression Demon had on. Those few demons who noticed were of course those the most affected…
“Roshturn…….my sweet little girl……she” said Roshturn’s mother. “My husband left me, and now my daughter has also….”
“What am I going to do?” thought Roshturn’s mother, as she realizes her life is crumbling down.
“Marytus…..Where is Marytus? I don’t see her anywhere” said Marytus’ dad. “Also, Demon got that gloomy look on his face….”
“Yeah, now that I think about it, where is my little baby?” asked Marytus’ mother as she looks around for Marytus.
“Yeah, I was wondering that since the beginning…..I thought I saw her before the wave was over as one of the people getting out…..but I guess it must have been my imagination” said Leortatus. “Where could she have gone?”
After a good amount of time where everyone in the stadium was talking on and on about Demon, they suddenly got really hyped again as they remember the look the gigantic bears had when Demon attacked them….
It was so hilariously funny, since the gigantic bears are usually not afraid of anything, but today they were afraid of something. A-not-so-typical-human. Because the hyped and excitement just wouldn’t cool down, they started shouting and yelling out Demon’s name again for quite some times.
Unfortunately, during such a great moment in history, during such a time that someone so magnificent and continently renown individual such as Demon should be paying particular attention to, Demon wasn’t paying any attention to any of it. His mind was preoccupied.
Demon wasn’t even aware he was that famous….
While all those emotional yells and appraisals were being done for Demon, Demon’s issues were piling up, and as the praises and shouts finally starts to cool down after a great half-hour (and probably would have persisted for much longer) the Demon Emperor decided to make a speech……

Sorcery in Boston
The timid daughter of some of the greatest spellcasters ever to have lived has found herself in another world, courtesy of magic gone awry. In Boston, Massachusetts, in the year 1935, she finds some kind souls in a hard era. In the heart of the Great Depression, as war looms around the corner, she seeks to find her place, and must come to terms with both who she is and what she truly desires. Author's Notes: Release Note: I recently realized what the hold up is. My current mental state is not compatible with the planned ending. If I wrote the ending according to what currently feels right, it will be a wretched, cruel ending that feels monstrously unfair and invalidates the work of the various characters... because that's how my life feels at the moment. The planned ending is coming out hollow and awkward, no matter how I write it, and so I've been bashing my head. I will finish it, once I manage to either brute force something decent out, or once my head gets screwed on straight. Audience: This story is not for young children - it contains some profanity, sexual content, violence, gore, and significant adult themes. Most of these are handled delicately enough not to upset teens or adults (hopefully), hence the lack of relevant tags, but it is nonetheless unsuitable for youth. It's fairly slow paced, and focused on the development of very human, very flawed individuals. Length / Completion Estimates: The outline currently involves two books. Book 1 is expected to be done with Chapter 43. It'll probably be completely finished by sometime in March of this year. I expect to move on to the far-more-lighthearted Of Gods and Dungeons (currently in progress / on hiatus). Afterwards, I may decide to redo Book 1, or write Book 2, or actually start sharing the story most dear to me, that I've been working on for several years now. Draft 1: Please be aware that this is first draft material. I do intend to come back to do a second draft after the story is complete. If anyone notices any issues whatsoever with the story, please let me know (pm, etc) so that I can improve the second draft. Writer's Pledge: I've taken the Writer's Pledge, meaning I'm commiting to completing this story. I'm a proud member of WriTE, a group dedicated to finishing stories. It will be done! Behind the Scenes notes: This picture was commissioned from an inked artist by the name of DanP. Up until the time of the protagonist's arrival, history has proceeded as before. Some places and characters have been borrowed from wikipedia entries of interesting figures from the time. I will make note in the chapter comments when such things come up. Naturally, I've taken a great deal of liberty with them. In interest of respecting individuals, I've either attempted to portray them as accurately as possible, or modified them sufficiently enough that they're simply an inspiration, instead of a real portrayal. I've attempted to be as accurate to the era as possible, but I'm not a historian. If you're aware of inaccuracies, please, bring them to my attention so that I can correct them.
