Chapter 18: It gets worse…..

“What? That wasn’t part of the plan……” said the Demon Emperor out loud. “I thought the Demonic bear was supposed to be weaker than the giant demonic lizards?”

“They are” replied both Zonisk and Kiarria. “But the demonic bears are still powerful”

“What?” said the Demon Emperor in surprise. “But I put at least three in the tunnel”

“YOU DID WHAT?” asked both Kiarria and Zonisk at the same exact time out loud.

“Well, um…..since you said you saw the architecture plans, I thought you were okay with the whole demonic bears plan….” Explained the Demon Emperor while looking at Kiarria guiltily.

“I NEVER SAW ANYTHING THAT HAVE TO DO WITH BEARS IN THERE” responded Kiarria. “WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU? DO YOU WANT DEMON TO LOSE SO MUCH YOU ARE GOING TO GET YOUR OWN PEOPLE KILLED?”

“…….I am so sorry…..” replied the Demon Emperor. “I don’t…….I am not sure……..what can I do to fix this?”

“At this point, it’s already too late” said Zonisk. “the competition already started, everyone probably thinks this is all part of the test, and since this test is for the three strongest currently in the Demon Continent, then the three strongest should be able to handle this much……is probably what everyone in the stadium is thinking”

“Then what can I do?” asked the Demon Emperor.

“Don’t do anything father” answered Carlardantis that was observing everything up-till now with a shocked expression at the scene she saw in the magical screen with the succubus that was clearly dear to Demon that chewed. “Don’t make anything worse than it already is”

“………..” (Demon Emperor)

“I am sure Demon will handle it………I am sure he’ll be kind and save everyone” said Carlardantis.

“I am very sorry……I did not think things through, since I am so overpowered and I can kill those demonic bears so easily, I forgot most of the demon population do not hold such power……I have grown so self-centered…..” explained the Demon Emperor.

“Father……Demon will be a royal guard now, won’t he?” asked Carlardantis with a calm deadly facial expression, she looks as if she was trying to control her own bloodlust.

“…..Of--, Of course” said the Demon Emperor with a bit of stutter at the beginning.

“OK” replied Carlardantis as she leaves the booth.

“This is why before you DO ANYTHING, YOU, LITTLE PUNK, you should always talk to me BEFORE HANDS, GOT THAT?” asked Kiarria clearly pissed off at what happened.

“Yes” said the Demon Emperor with a guilty facial expression, and tears beginning to form. “It’s been awhile since I felt this guilty about something…..”

“What? What’s going on?” asked a green horse looking demon with a wand. “That bloodlust just now……”

“I don’t know what that was and truthfully, I don’t want to know” replied another fellow green-horse demon. “Let’s just fly out of the tunnel, this demon bear, then that bloodlust right after are seriously giving me the creeps”

“Yeah, don’t have to tell me twice” replied the other green-horse demon.

In another location, two demons way ahead of the gigantic group of demons that is approaching on their direction. Those two demons were the very first ones to run when they saw the bear….

“Hey?” asked a purely white and golden haired demon youth with four eyes. “That bloodlust wasn’t just any bloodlust, it felt like an insanity lust”

“Yeah, I agree” replied a fellow dark-winged demon with the head of a spider. “I almost froze from fear just now”

“Yeah, tell me about it” replied the white-golden demon. “We should go further in the tunnel, maybe we might find something interesting…”

“Yeah, let’s continue” replied the spider-winged demon.

“WHY ARE YOU GUYS LOOKING BEHIND? WE NEED TO KEEP GOING FURTHER” yelled a demon all the way in the front of the gigantic group of demons that were running for their lives when the giant bear appeared.

“There was a blood lust…..no something felt off about it…..it was weird…” said some of the demons in the group.

“I know what I felt……but we need to keep going…..we cannot go back there” replied the demons in the front.

“Yeah, that’s true. Then let’s keep going further in” replied the people in the back.

As the group continue their advancement forward, they did not realize that with each step taken forward, their chances of death increases as well. For at the end of the corridor, once they reach the other section, what awaits them is none other than two demonic bears, not one but two.

If those demons were already afraid of one and knew they couldn’t defeat not even one of those bears, then they should know, they don’t even stand a chance against two of them.

As they arrived towards the new section, all they saw was blood. Two of what looked like pieces of flesh from two individuals that reached there first.

“What……is that a spider demon’s wings?” asked one of the demons in the front. “What is it doing all the way over here?”

“Wait…..better yet…..what is this golden arm laying around there? Isn’t it that white-golden demon that we saw in the wave with us?” asked another demon in the front.

“This isn’t good….” Said the demon that was rushing everyone to run forward. “Guys, we need to move back, right now!!”

“What? What are you talkin—“ a really tall plant-demon was about to asked something before suddenly getting pull by a pair of gigantic hairy hands.

“That……that thing……they…….they are here” yelled the guy that was rushing everyone. “Move back, we need to run in the direction we came from”

Everyone then started to run towards the direction they came from, with their very life at stake. Some used magic to fly, some used their four foots to run faster, some used their jumping prowess, some even used their invisibility skills, all in order to escape, to survive.
