"Here's the rundown."

"The Bubblegum Ninjas of Daifuku are an ancient and secretive order. Their entire mission in life is to be ancient and secretive. Everything they do is ancient - they don't like embracing new technology - and secretive. They even poop in secret! They worship Keety, the Dark Queen of the Cats, mythical foe of the Great Pug in the sky."

"Save me the history lesson", yawned the chomp.

"Hold on to your jiggles big chomp! I'm getting to the point, which is this. The mystery behind the bounce is a rare and elusive kind of mochi, known as the Bubblegum Daifuku. When they chew on this rice cake, which has a bubblegum filling, they are able to blow a massive bubble. In fact, the bubble is almost as big as an average sized chump. Erm, I mean chomp. Same thing."

"So... they use this bubble to bounce from place to place?" The chomp asked.

"You got that right chomp", squeaked the tiny mochi.

"Guess you're not so dull after all."

The chomp ignored the insult. A few words thrown at him were nothing compared to giant wedding-cake attacks.

"How do we find this... Bubblegum Daifuku?"

"You find it by saving my ice-cream. There's a bakery not far from here, where they make pies and have a cool storage room where they keep all the ice-cream mochi. It is my home."

Pies! This could be the key to finding the pie-sorcerer!

"Rumor has it that the owners have ties with the Bubblegum Ninjas, and they supply them with the rare Bubblegum Daifuku that they store in a secret room in the back."

Mo was melting as it spoke, forming a tiny puddle on the chomp's shoulder.

They had very little time to waste.
