《The Strongest Hero VS The Weakest World?》Chapter 7 - Instructor Troubles

Some months flies by since last time. At this time, Yemon has gotten his Sword Art skill at level 10. Currently, Yemon has just finished his daily exercise in his training lesson, getting ready for some sword training when Ryuma, his instructor, stops him with a change in plans...
"Yemon, stop! I forgot to tell you that we won't be doing our typical swordplay today."
"Oh, then what will we be doing?"
"We'll be taking your swordsmanship to the next level. You have already reached level ten in both swordsmanship and your sword art. Next would be to level them up to level 20, or as high as you can; however, before I give you my blessing, I want you to learn about Magical Swordsmanship."
"Magic Swordsmanship? Is that where the user cast spells while fighting with the sword?"
"Sort of... What you said is true, but the types of spells are different than typical magicians. For example, you won't be using attack spells that much. You'll use support spells that increase your abilities or that'll slow down your opponent. Most of the time, it is using magic to enhance your body while fighting. You can also imbue your sword with the elements to give you extra fighting power."
"Oh, I see."
"Alright, before we begin, you can use magic, right?"
"Yeah. I had all the teachings mastered at level ten, but my attributes are only level eight. Is this fine for what I'll be learning?"
"I think so. Basic body strengthening is only level five or so if I recall. Anyhow, we'll be starting in a moment. Sadly, I'm unable to use magic, so we'll need the help of someone who studies and researches magic. She'll be arriving shortly, so hold on a second. Oh, and just a heads up, she's a bit weird when it comes with magic..."
"Oh, okay..."
After speaking, we lay waiting for five minutes while talking about sword-related topics. At the end of the time, I raise a question to Ryuma about the type of person coming.
"You said that she's weird when it comes to magic, but what do you mean?"
"Well, she is known as the Goddess of Magic, so her abilities and research all revolve around magic. She doesn't interact with many of the other gods. When a God does try to talk with her, she just gives off an annoyed expression. That said, when the conversation is about magic, her mood instantly improves, and she jumps right into the conversation, blasting everyone's ears off."
"I see..."
Right as he explains this, an unpleasant memory passes through my head of my first day arriving into this realm. I remember a nasty fellow who was supposed to be my magic teacher, but they felt different about the entire thing. Wait, could they be...
"Hey, Ryuma. What does this person look like?"
"Hmm? She's beautiful goodness with long sky-blue hair, blue eyes, and is always wearing a blue-colored robe."
Yep... That's her alright.
"Uh, I don't want to be rude, but I think it would be for the best if you go and cancel her coming today..."
"Huh, and why would I do that?"
"Because..."
Before I was able to finish my sentence, a large magic circle appears in front of us. It begins spinning upwards while revealing a white silhouette of a person. Once the circle reaches the top, it stops spinning and disappears. The white silhouette of a person starts changing colors to reveal the real person... The same girl that I met that day which was supposed to be my instructor...

"Ah, she's here and making a flashy entrance like always."
The girl stays still for a moment and then opens her eyes and gives both of us a big smile.
"Ah, okay Ryuma, I'm here. So, where is this pupil of yours that needs my help in my teachings? I'm ready to pump them full of magic lessons! Hehe
I stare questionable at the entirely different person in front of me. Actually, I remember that she was happy and cheerful initially, but after observing me, her mood dulled. I didn't have any magic abilities at that time... Could that be the reason?
As I was thinking things over, Ryuma introduces us.
"Here's right here!. Yemon, this is the instructor I've been telling you about, Makiko. And Makiko, this is my favorite pupil that I have been telling you about, Yemon. Please do you... Hmm? What's with the looks, guys?"
In the middle of Ryuma's greeting, both Makiko and I started staring at each other. When she realizes that I was the pupil, all she did was stare at me in disbelief. I continue to stare back with an awkward smile. I wonder how this is going to turn out...
After our unofficial staring competition, Makiko's mood dulls and changes to anger.
"Huh?! What do you mean! This piece of crap isn't the person you have been telling me about. I thought you got confirmation of his magic abilities a moment ago!"
"I d-did! He said that he has mastered..."
"He says! How does believing what one tells you to count as confirmation! You were supposed to check his status or have him show you magic. Ugh! Now I have wasted my precious time AND mana from just coming to this dump."
Makiko begins pouting and yell insults. Ryuma tries to calm her down, but he only makes her angrier.
"Please calm down, M..."
"Shut it! I don't know how that idiot fooled you, but his source is mana-less, just like yours! There is absolutely no way that he can use mana. I told you thousands of times not to interrupt my work for anything that pointless, and now you have. Ryuma, you and that idiot are f..."
Hearing enough, I interrupt Makiko and begin shouting at her in Ryuma's defense.
"Enough! We get it; we wasted your time or whatever, who cares! Instead of screaming at us and throwing this ungodly fit, just leave already. We don't need you or your precious help. From the way your acting, I wonder how much help you can give anyway."
"Y-you!"
After yelling my spill, Makiko's face turns red in rage. Not wanting to wait any longer, I decide to send her home by myself.
"Ugh! Now, you're wasting our time! Here, I'll help you since you can't."
After speaking, I begin activating two circles simultaneously. My magic level in the attributes is only eight, so there are many things that I can't do yet; however, there are still plenty of spells that I can use that are perfect for this situation.
One is teleportation magic which using the Space attribute. Normally, you need to have either the coordinates or a detailed mental image of the place you want to. Luckily for me, using my Pure Mana Eye, Y, I analyzed her magic circle earlier and obtained the coordinates of where she came from.
The other spell I'm casting will prevent her from instantly coming back through teleportation magic. It uses the Nullification attribute and requires more mana than other spells but is handy for a situation like this. At level three, one can learn Barrier magic from this attribute, but you can add special effects to it as you level the attribute up. For instance, at level eight, I gained the effect to block teleportation magic... Lucky me, right?

Anyhow, after bringing the two circles out, I use Chantless and cast the two spells. While I do, I notice that Makiko, who was red with anger, is now in a state of confusion and awe. She looks toward me dumbfounded, not understanding nor believing the spectacle that is happening. I give her a devilish smile as I cast the spells. Teleportation! Barrier: No Teleport!
The two circles I summon begin changing after activating the spells. One of the circles begins increasing in size while also ascending upwards. It continues going out of sight. The other circle moves under Makiko and starts spinning. It also starts shinning, which should mean that she's now stuck within the circle.
After a few seconds, particles begin falling off of Makiko. And then, after another second or two, she begins vanishes along with the circle. With that, the teleportation spell is completed. Thankfully, she was still shocked that I could use magic that she didn't make any escape attempts or fought back. Anyhow, I looked outside and made sure the barrier magic activated successfully.
Normally, you can't see barriers or any barrier magic effects; however, you can detect where one might be if you have mana eyes. With my pure mana eyes, I can visually see the barrier as if it wasn't transparent. Once confirming that it was outside and converting the entire house, I look over at Ryuma.
"Please forgive me for my behavior, Ryuma. I'm not on good terms with Makiko, as you just saw. For this reason, I think it would be better to exclude her from our magic training. Although indeed, you can't use magic, you still should be able to teach me..."
Silent, Ryuma slowly turns his head towards me and gives a small nod.
"Yeah, that's fine, though may I ask what happened? I have never seen her like this before..."
I give him a shrug.
"I don't know what to tell you. Truthfully, I didn't do anything towards her. If I had to guess, it's from the fact that I used to be mana-less."
"Yep, that would be it. She doesn't hate those who can't use magic, but she does hate those who can't attempt and try to use magic. Logically, one shouldn't try to use magic because it'll never work, but few attempt magic childishly, and others who are unable to use magic say that they can. Anyhow, let's begin the lesson, shall we?"
"Yeah, let's..."
After our conversation, Ryuma started the lesson and taught me magical swordsmanship even though he can't use magic. True, this would have been easier and less time-consuming if Makiko taught, but this should be fine. I mean, I have all the time, if I'm honest...
Anyway, I continued on my normal routine after the lesson. After my break, I headed back to the room where I practiced with Ryuma on the 2nd floor and started reviewing my stances. Afterward, I went on my break and started the day over again.
...
Time passes by, and it's now the end of my 2nd break. Since I skipped my magic training yesterday, I decided to use today to practice more of my spellcraft. With that said, I made my way upstairs and into the correct classroom; however, upon entering, someone greets me with great vigor.
"Ah, perfect timing. Please take your seat, and we'll begin right away!"
My eyes widen as I recognize the voice and even more so as I look at the person with my eyes... It's Makiko. Now, I did turn off the barrier spell earlier today, but I wasn't expecting her to show up. Well, she doesn't look hostile, so I guess I'll play along.
As instructed, I walk over to my desk and sit down in it.
"Okay, now I think I failed to give my introductions last time we met. I'm your magic instructor, Makiko, the goddess of magic. Here, I'll help with your understanding of magic theories and improving your attribute magic. Anyhow, did you complete my last assignment already?"
"Yes, I have read all of the books in this place."
This is not a lie. After gaining the ability to use magic, I began to read more and more books to understand all of the processes that using magic requires. The only reason my magic theory skill and knowledge are high is due to reading all of the books.
Special or extremely advanced spells and theories were in this library, but they were in the form of Grimoires, special magic books. They were in a different language too, which I learned was called Magic Tones. With the help of Akira, I was able to learn the language with no problem at all...
"Ooh, that's faster than I expected. Alright, I'm going to quiz you. Question one..."
She begins asking me questions from basic to advanced subjects. After answering all of her fifty questions, she gives me a wide smile.
"Good! You got them all correct. With that, you should have already mastered magic in the way of knowledge. Now, let's see how far you are with practical magic."
She takes me out of the room with a small nod and heads towards another room that I didn't know existed. Inside, there are a couple of training dummies at various distances. After entering, Makiko turns around and gives new instructions.
"Okay, so we will practice loads of magic here. On my word, I want you to cast a spell from each of the attributes starting at level one. I'll give you another word afterward. Once I do, I want you to do the same thing but at level two, and so on. Understand? Then begin!"
"Yes!"
As instructed, I start casting level 1 spells. Level one spells are those that you only need an attributed skill of level one. As you increase in level, the amount of spells decreases but the power they produce increases. Also, the mana for the spells increases too. Anyway, I continue casting spells...
Level 1 - Flame, Water, Lighten, Darken, Spark, Harden, Blow, Sight (Space), Distort (Null), Mist (Ice).
After my level one spells, Makikio gives a small nod and then gives me another signal. I then start casting higher-level spells.
Level 2 - Fireball, Waterball, Rock Bullet, Air Bullet, Ice Bullet, Shock, Lightball, Darkball, Interrupt (Null), Condense (Space)
Level 3 - Fire Spear, Water Spear, Rock Spear, Air Strike, Ice Spear, Lightning Spear, Light Spear, Dark Spear, Barrier (Null), Sky Spear (Space)
...
Level 8 - Firestorm (Medium), Waterstorm (Medium), Earthquake (Medium), Hurricane (Medium), Icestorm (Medium), Lightning Storm (Medium), Corrupt (Dark), Purificification (Light), Spell-break (Low - Null), Dimenential Slash (Space)
After going through spells from each level that I'm able to do, I face Makiko as tell her that I'm finished. She gives a small nod.
"I see... This is impressive! I can't believe you got this far on your own. With my help, you'll reach level ten in no time. After that, I'll give you my blessing, and we can continue to raise your level. Maybe we'll get it to level twenty! If it does, you'll be able to do Ultimate magic, which has the power to destroy worlds."
After the demonstration of my power, we stayed inside the training room. Makiko then began showing me spells and taught me how to cast them. Her teachings are surprisingly easy to understand and enjoyable. So much, in fact, that when I noticed that my beginning classes were about to start. After telling Makiko, she nods while I begin to leave; however, she stops me and quickly apologizes.
"Hey, I want to tell you that I'm sorry for the other day. I hope you'll let me continue to teach and help you in your magic training starting today."
I smile back at her and give a small nod before leaving the room. In the corner of my eye, I saw her smile as she teleports away. Afterward, I went to Akria's classroom and started my next lesson.
...
And with that, time progresses smoothly. My daily routine slowly etches into my mind as days, months, and years go by. As more time progresses, my body slowly rips up, and my muscles are now shown and harder than metal. Although I'm not as muscular as some muscular builders on Earth, my muscles and body are stronger than them.
My knowledge and magical ability have also improved as time progresses. I have learned many things about the other worlds out there and what's in them. I have also slowly mastered all of the knowledge in this realm and those other worlds.
My magic has surpassed Makiko's abilities and then some. All of the skills, including my magic, that I have learned are currently maxed out at level 20. With this, I have surpassed all of God's skills. Sadly, my status isn't as high as some of them; however, that should change when I start leveling up. Right now, I'm level one, but once I increase it, my status should increase about nine thousand times and more.
I have also met many more Gods, learned their teachings, and have gained their blessing, allowing me to reach level 20 in their specialized skills.
Anyway, I have spent a total of fifty million years in this realm. I'm currently with Akria, deep within the realm where there's a place to fight monsters so that I can level up. After leveling up, I should be able to gain immense strength beyond the Gods. Though I'm not sure that I need all of this strength, when I asked about it, I was told that since I was given this time, there is a world out there in need of someone like me.
"All right, we're here!"
On Akria's word, we made it to the building where I'll be able to level up. That said, for some reason, I'm getting weird vibes looking at it.
"Right..."

Interface
Welcome to the World-City of Thousel, the sixth iteration of life on the planet. These are the recordings of the people of Thousel. Thousel is believed to be the second longest iteration of life, and the overall most prosperous compared to what we know about the past five iterations. Medicine and technology have all progressed abundantly, and the world itself has been turned into one great city, governed and managed by the Governmental-Company Alliance, or the GCA.These particular recordings concern the discovery of a peculiar machine. When two very different people find themselves bound by the fate of one mysterious bot, life in the World-City begins to change… Interface is a cyberpunk webnovel set in an ecumenopolis world where people evolved with electro-sensory abilities. These senses shape the face of modern technology and life in a world where the three largest corporations run what has effectively become the government. Each of these three companies control various aspects of life in the city, and they all constantly vie for domain and power over one another. The world stands at the precipice of biological, technological, and historical breakthrough. After decades of study into microbiology, archaeology, and geology, it has been discovered that sentient life has lived on the planet multiple times over. These past peoples are referred to as the “prior iterations of life,” and it is believed that five great civilizations were constructed before the rise of the modern world. No one can be sure for certain what caused these peoples’ extinction long ago, and the theories range from simply dying off over time to massive tectonic fractures in the face of the planet. Advanced technology, far more complicated than anything the people possess today, has been uncovered in multiple locations. This has lead scholars to speculate on exactly how long each iteration of life survived and how far they progressed as a society. None of the companies have been able to find a way to make this ancient technology work for their own profit. It is as though they are each missing the final key needed to unlock these centuries old secrets. What could this knowledge reveal about the nature of life across every iteration? What power could it give to the one who wields it?Far from the investigation into the origin of life, two kids unlock a new mystery – one that ties their fates to the discovery of an old, mysterious robot. Suddenly, eyes begin to turn towards them as life in the city of Thousel changes wherever they go…

Gangs From Another World
This story takes place in a world like our own where magic and high technology rule the day. This particular world is ruled by a feline race. The race is divided up into 12 clans (like Greek city-states), with their own territories, solar systems and planets. These 12 clans answer to the original Home World for external disputes, negations, emergencies or to direct military operations only. Within the time-frame of this story, a new Emperor has recently ascended the throne, approximately a year has past since the ascension. He was the previous ruler of the Clan Ya-kith-Thar or Clan founding #3, world of the artisan cats. Unfortunately, not all residents have benefited from technological wonders. The forgotten, who were not lucky enough to be Royal born or middle class and above, experience a hard life, like those of the colonial worlds. The poorer denizens see the technological marvels from their windows, and yet experience little of it. This is the story of one such group living in the ghetto of the Capital city, written by Horus Blackburn, leader of the North-Central Gang.
