Chapter-2 The World of Pyronites
{POV: Third Person Narration}
His eyes opened in an alien world, a place which he had never seen before, his vision was still blur and thought fuzzy, puzzled with in his own thought, he tried to stand on his feet, but that man didn’t allowed him to do so.
“You shouldn’t stand up now.” A man wearing white doctor coat pushed him back on the bed he was lying, the man had a statoscope hanging on his neck “Young man you should relax for a while, your body is still weak.”
“Now answer my questions boy” –Doctor
“Yes”—Ishaan
“What is your name?”—Doctor
“Ishaan, Ishaan Purohit”—Ishaan
“What is your age?”—Doctor
“I’m 18 year old”—Ishaan
“From where are you?” –Doctor
“I’m from Udaipur, Rajasthan”—Ishaan
“Ok, one last question, how does your body feel, do you feel itchiness or pain somewhere?”—Doctor
“No, there is no itchiness nor pain, but I just feel tired”—Ishaan
“Well, it is because you have been unconscious for last three to four days, but now it looks like you are absolutely fine, now try to stand up there is someone who wants to meet you”—Doctor
No question, No doubts, without saying a word Ishaan stood on his weak and trembling legs, he never felt such weakness in his body before, it was like his entire body will break into pieces one by one.
Every step was heavy, his burden was increasing with every step he took towards the exit, but then something strange happened, he screamed with pain “Aahhhhhhhh…., what the hell is happening”.
An intense pain ran through his veins, unable to withstand the pain he fell on the ground, his face turned red, tears came to his eyes, this pain was unlike anything he had experienced before.
‘What is this, what is happening to me, It’s like my entire body is going to blast, my muscles are tearing apart what is this power, flowing within me, as soon as I left the room, this pain is twitching me’ he himself didn’t knew what was happening to him, but all he knew was this body of his was no longer like it was before.
A red circle formed below his feet, a bright red light started emitting from the circle, and fire enveloped around him, strong winds were flowing all around.
The people around the area started running away from Ishaan in order to save their own life, they ran without care, even the doctor who was with him ran for his own life instead of saving Ishaan or even looking at his condition, he ran towards the exit with his tail between his legs.
Exit was right ahead of him, though a lot of crowd was gathering there, he somehow managed to get out of the place, but he ran into even a bigger trouble outside.
He was dashing aimlessly after escaping from the room, when he bumped into one of the most fearsome person he ever met, the gentle look of that may be deceptive but from within he is cruel and merciless, the man known as the King Of Dragons, Drazen.
“What is it doc, where are you heading to?” –Drazen
“Master Drazen, a boy magic power got out of control as soon as he stepped out of Lacramia Room.” –Doctor
“And you left him to die” –Drazen
“It’s not like master Drazen, I Came out to..”—doctor
“Enough with excuses, do you even have Idea how precious is he to us and you left him, instead of looking after him.” –Drazen,

glared at him, his expression was like that of a blood thirsty beast, a golden aura enveloped around him, which made a disturbance in the area, the floor started to crumble, the glasses all around were turned into fine dust, all people around there were speechless, they had their eyes stick out of the sockets.
“Master Drazen, I sincerely think that you should focus on that boy rather than these irresponsible people” –Grisa
The beautiful girl who was watching all this from shadows decided to show some mercy on poor doctor and shift Drazen attention towards Ishaan.
“Yes, you are right my current priority is that boy.”—Drazen
Drazen calmed himself, the golden aura around him fade away, everything returned to be normal, Drazen fearlessly along with Grisa entered the place where Ishaan was struggling because of his unstable power.
The place was burning with fire, the heat was so incredible that it might even melt diamond, unaffected from all this Drazen moved towards Ishaan who was crawling on the ground, he grabbed his hand and threw him back into the room where he was lying unconscious for past three to four days.
As soon as he entered the room, a feeling of well-being came to him, his body was not feeling that pain anymore, both the flames and wind left him, they were no longer putting any harm to him.
“It seems that you are feeling better already, this room is made up of a special stone which absorbs all and every kind of magic.” –Drazen
But no reply came from Ishaan he was just lying on the ground, breathing heavily, his breath was abnormal, his mind was still fuzzy, his eyes were not able to see anything because tears were still clouding his vision.
“It seems he is still unable to speak master Drazen”—Grisa
“So, what should we now.”—Drazen
“In my opinion we might give this boy a little more time and”—Grisa
“And, what?”—Drazen
“I think you should hand this boy over to me, I will teach him magic”—Grisa
“Why you, don’t you have anything better than this to do?”—Drazen
“If you could see, what I saw then you wouldn’t be saying that.”—Grisa
“What, do you mean by that?”—Drazen
“You have discarded all those powers that’s why you cannot sense it, sense the disturbance within him.”—Grisa
“If you ever, bring this topic up, I will kill you that very moment, do you get that.”—Drazen
“*Coughing and heavy breathing* what is happening to me.”—Ishaan
“So, you are finally up for a chat.”—Drazen
Ishaan slowly stood up and sat on the bed lying just behind him.
“Are you alright boy?”—Grisa
“Do I look like fine”—Ishaan
“Well, you certainly don’t.”—Grisa
Grisa moves towards Ishaan and gently pat his head, something Ishaan hated, for a boy his age being patted by someone is like an insult to him, he hit Grisa’s hand and looked upwards.
At that time his eyes landed on the most beautiful girl he has ever seen in his entire life, her beautiful white skin, long black silky hair, her green eyes absorbed him, he was not able to see anything other than her.
‘Who is this girl, is she a fairy or an angel, I have never seen a girl as beautiful as her not even in my dreams, from where did she even came from, is she born or created. Keeping so much beauty to herself, isn’t she greedy.’ While he saw her many jumbled thoughts came to his mind, he couldn’t control his thought anymore, and her beauty was like a drug to him, which was slowly spreading through his veins.

“I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have touched you, so suddenly, and you might have got shocked from it.”—Grisa
“No. There’s no problem with that.”—Ishaan
“Well, if you are able to talk now, let just have some chit-chat”—Drazen
The voice of that man, overwhelmed Ishaan’s ear, his great and almighty voice attracted all his attention.
Ishaan was looking at one of the mightiest warrior in all of the realms, he could not deny the fact that the man he is looking at is no ordinary man, we looked high born, his features were that of a noble, but at the same time he was fearful and nocuous, no man look at him with straight eye without getting scared of him.
Ishaan’s fear was clear, his eyes told all the truth, though he tried to put a mask on his face, he tried to remain poker face but his fear was easily recognizable.
“Don’t be scared of me boy, I won’t do any harm to you”—Drazen
“I’m not scared, I’m just surprised looking at a man with eyes like a ghost.”—Ishaan
“You, got quite a sense of humor there, how was your nap, you have been sleeping for over four days now.”—Drazen
“Four days huh… seems like a quite a long time.”—Ishaan
“Whatever, my name is Drazen, I’m the one who saved you and others from that dragon the other day.”—Drazen
“You saved me, don’t joke, no human can stand against those beasts.”—Ishaan
“Yes, no human can stand a chance against them, but I’m no human, I’m a pyronite, a specie derived from humans but surpasses it by many folds.”—Drazen
“No fooling around anymore, what do you take me for?”—Ishaan
“He is not lying, humans are base for many species like Angels, Pyronites and some of the demons.”—Grisa
“In fact you are a pyronite yourself, now.”—Drazen
“Huh… ha, don’t fool around, there’s no way, that I’m of some specie whose name I have never heard before, I was born human and I will remain human.”—Ishaan
“Yes, you indeed were born as human but you no longer are, like I said Pyronites are derived from humans” Drazen steps were slowly approaching towards Ishaan as he was trying to convince him that he is no longer what he used to be.
“Let me show you how your body is different from before.” Drazen his hang towards Ishaan’s hand, the started to spout from Ishaan’s hand as he screamed his pain, a little hit from this man caused Ishaan a great injury, his bones was fractured, his muscles were ripped apart, his skin was torn out, he covered that injury from his hand, while Grisa and Drazen both saw him suffering.
A lots of amount of blood was flowing through his body, he was trying to cloth it but an injury of this level could not be clothed easily, his eyes were shredding tears in pain.
“Why are you being so dramatic, an injury like that would have been healed by now you cry baby, you are newly born as a pyronite, and your regeneration speed is at peek now.”--Drazen
“Yes, you should move your hand.”—Grisa
Grisa held Ishaan’s hand, which was covering his injury, and tried to move his hand away from the injury, so that he could see for himself how much lie or truth they had been speaking, but Ishaan rejected the very thought of it, he tried to move his hand away in order to prevent grisa from uncovering the injury.
“Don’t be scared look into my eyes.”—Grisa.
Ishaan, slowly turned his face towards Grisa and looked straight towards her beautiful eyes, he was completely lost in her eyes, as if they were casting a spell upon him, he was staring at them continuously and can’t see anything other than them, he totally forgot about his injury and the intense pain he was having just a moment ago.
‘What is wrong with me, why am I having this feeling of well-being, this girl, just looking into her eyes had cast a spell on me, a spell which I want to break free, but I can’t, tell me how should I break this spell you got me under’ Ishaan mind was totally blurred as Grisa, moved his hand away from the injury.
And then, with a small wink Grisa sign him to look towards his hand, which no longer had any injury on it, no scar, no pain was left of that injury, just some blood, which was still fresh on his skin.
Ishaan was completely startled with this unnatural phenomenon, in his wildest of dream, he could not think that that a wound like that would be healed so fast.
‘What is happening here, where that injury just went, it was right here a moment ago, and this is crazy, what is even happening here?’ Ishaan mind had reached a state where he was unable to think about anything straight, no logic or scientific reasoning could be given for this.
“Now, do you believe me kid?”—Drazen
“Yes, I do believe you now.”—Ishaan
“Now would you believe on each and everything I said?”—Drazen
“Yes, without any doubt.”—Ishaan
“Then, here me loud and loud, this world is not like you think is, there are many thing which you will think are non-sense or even impossible, but they are things like magic, angels, dragons do exist here, not only them but even Gods and Demons exist, do
you understand.”—Drazen
“Yes”—Ishaan
“Well, I guess, it was easy to put all this in your mind, let’s go Grisa.”—Drazen
“You should leave without me, Master Drazen I will look for this boy.”—Grisa
“Not again with that, crap about disturbance and stuff.”—Drazen
“Master I won’t speak about your blood or anything but I will just speak a word.”—Grisa
“What word?”—Drazen
“Dragneel.”—Grisa
Upon hearing this word, Drazen expression turned sour, his eyes were filled with anger, a golden aura again enveloped him, aura even stronger than before, his magic was so strong that even this room was not able to suppress it, the ceiling, the wall all were shaking and in a blink of an eye, the whole room was full of cracks, every stone in the room broken.
As Drazen golden aura disappeared he started moving towards the exit, he was in a hurry to leave the room, but still he stopped at the door and said “Welcome to the world of Pyronites.”

The Kodoku Game
In Japanese folklore, there once existed an ancient technique among alchemists for harvesting the strongest poison known to man. A poison so vicious, so horrendous, that a single drop could incapacitate an entire nation of humans, several times over. A poison so intense that a single drop could turn the tides of a war on its head. As potent as it appeared however, this poison could be harvested from the blood of a single insect alone- an insect the alchemist’s called the ‘Kodoku’. As lucrative as was attaining this poison however, the problem lied in identifying this insect- its appearance, shape and size changed from region to region and from continent to continent. Sometimes it took the appearance of a ladybug and other times a horned-beetle. In order to determine the identity of this special insect the alchemists came up with an ingenious method. They created an impregnable jar of clay out of the best sandstone they could find and placed hundreds of different insects into the same jar. The jar was made with such great mastery that it allowed no insects to escape and allowed no objects to enter. The laws of nature dictated that the insects would remain together in the jar forever. However, it turned out that as time went on, the insects’ hunger for food and power caused them to turn against each other- one insect ate another until only one remained. This sole insect contained a poison that far surpassed that of all the others and became stronger as it ate more and more insects. The alchemists at this point had succeeded in identifying the Kodoku and could extract it’s poison as long as they continued to feed it regularly. Although this folklore ends here, the actual story does not. One day, as the alchemists cheered in joy of having identified the Kodoku they so eagerly wanted, they forgot to close the lid on the very jar that was considered to be completely impregnable. This small gap was just large enough for the Kodoku inside to crawl out. Famished from not having been fed for weeks, the Kodoku ended up eating the very alchemists that nourished its growth until not even the bones remained. Yet, the Kodoku’s hunger didn’t seem to subside in the slightest. So it traveled to the next village and began eating whatever it could find there. Its poison made it unparalleled in strength and slowly but surely it began to dwindle down the population of the entire city. Yet its hunger only continued to grow. So it traveled to the next city over and ate all it could there. Very soon, the Kodoku couldn’t find any more food to eat. There was no one left to eat and no one left to spectate. So it stood there, by itself pondering what possibly was left to eat that could satiate its hunger. But there was one thing left that Kodoku realized it had never eaten. Itself.
