Lumieres House-8 A.M.

Lumiere's mother is already waiting for us. She greets us with a smile.

"Good morning Lumiere, Forvish, you sure came early."(Lumiere's mother)

"Good morning mom."(Lumiere)

"Good morning ."(Forvish)

We greet her.

"Forvish, you don't need to be that formal with me. Anyway Lumiere."(Lumiere's mother)

She smiles at Lumiere but.......I know she is angry.

"Why do you treat him as a pet, you little girl?"(Lumiere's mother)

She goes to the front of her daughter.

"Didn't I tell you yesterday? It is a bet, of course it is already kind of me too-"(Lumiere)

Her mother pulled her cheek,then she says.

Of course it is because she acts like that. She treat guys without a shred of humanity. I doubt anyone wants to go out with her.

Then Lumieres mother stop pulling her cheeks and we go inside.

(After Breakfast)

Because Lumiere's mother wanted to taste my cooking we have a pretty late breakfast, but she is very satisfied with it. Now we are drinking tea and are having a chat, but I just now noticed. The only male friends I have is Ken and Shiroyukis brother. My life sure is cruel.

"You will be a good dad Forvish. Your food is really delicious."(Forvish)

"Thanks."(Forvish)

Though I learn how to cook myself because of my useless dad.

"He is a dad already, he has daughter and his child isn't cute at all."(Lumiere)

Hearing that Lumieres mother is suprised, but immediately she hides her surprise look. She then asks.

"Forvish you aren't married yet right?"(Lumiere)

Why did she suddenly ask that, well I am not married so I will answer her honestly.

"No."(Forvish)

Then she smiles while her hands touch her cheek.

"Then just marry Lumiere already, let her become a mom. I know she pretty much likes you. I will be relieved if I can leave Lumiere in your care."(Lumiere's mother)

Both of us are shocked, but Lumiere blushed and was angry at her mom.

"Mom, I won't marry him!!! He isn't that good!!! His daughter isn't cute at all!"(Lumiete)

Hearing this Lumiere's mother begin to laugh a little

"Hmm, really? Why, I think otherwise though?"(Lumiere's mother)

"Mom!!"(Lumiere)

She blushed angryly, her mom teased her too much. Suddenly I feel killing intent and see a knife from behind of her move and trying to stab her. I thrust my hand out, shit make it in time!!

The knife pierced my left palm. It hurts!! Immediately I draw my swords and break it, but it is still hovering and trys to kill her mother. instantly I cut it into tiny pieces. Finally it stoped moving.

"Forvish!! Your hands."(Lumiere)

"I am fine, auntie this is a cursed knife. Where did you get it?"(Forvish)

"My neighbour gave it to me today. She got it for free from supermarket."(Lumiere's mother)

This is more complicated than I thought, looks like the culprit is the one who gave out the free knife or the neighbour, but i doubt the neighbour would do this. They know Lumiere is here. It must be from the person who emitted the killing intent from yesterday. It will be dangerous for her.

"Damn, I will kill them."(Lumiere)

I grab her wrist to stop her. She is so furious that she lost control of herself.

"Calm down Lumiere! You know that neighbour isn't the one who is responsible for this."(Forvish)

"But!!"(Lumiere)

"Lumiere please calm down, I am fine so please calm down."(Lumiere's mother)

"...Sorry."(Lumiere)

Finally she calms down, I need Jessica's father to help with this. So I give him a call to explain the situation.

He agrees with my request. Then I explained to Lumiere.

"Lumiere, I asked my dad's friend to protect her he will arrive in a hour."(Forvish)

"Thank you. Sorry I am a burden to you."(Lumiere's mother)

"Don't say that mom."(Lumiere)

I kept watch of the surrounding area and cast sonic scan near the surrounding area. It is a spell that uses the wind to scan the surroundings. If I felt something weird I will notice right away, but the culprit is dangerous. Until now he never has shown himself. What's more this level of curse is only low level, a normal person couldn't sense it. Goddamnit, shit I let my guard down because I thought it was safe.

"Forvish, please give me your hand I will treat it."(Lumiere)

My hand is being bandaged, but I am pretty clumsy so I give my hand while keeping alert.

"This is serious, why didn't you say it hurt."(Lumiere)

"This is nothing, I have suffer far worse than this."(Forvish)

Like the wound I got from Alice's case.

"Forvish, why did you protect my mother? If she dies, it wouldn't matter to you right?'(Lumiere)

"But you would cry and I can't allow that. I will protect what is important to me."(Forvish)

"You are an idiot you know? Aren't I just a friend?"(Lumiere)

Why you ask? She asked while blushing. I don't know why she is embarassed.

"If you are just a friend I wouldn't do this much right? Beside you are like me, for your mothers sake you are willing to risk your life. That's why I think we can be more than just friends."(Forvish)

"Lovers?'(Lumiere's mother)

"Of course not. I think we are more likely best friends."(Forvish)

I answer without second thought because I think it is like that, but Lumiere became dark and she tied the bandage so tight that it hurt.

"Ouch, ouch...Please it is too tight."(Forvish)

"You are a man bear with it."(Lumiere)

"You sure are dense..."(Lumiere's mother)

Why? Why does everyone tell me that? Am I that slow?

(1 hour Later)

After he arrives I told him everything about the case and he accepted it.

"Please protect her for me."(Forvish)

"Leave it to me. I won't allow a scratch on her."(Jessica's father)

As we talked about the case Lune suddenly appeared.

"Dad!!! You are wounded!!"(Lune)

She is really worried and I see mom and dad following behind her. Looks like Jessica's dad told them.

"Lune, I am fine it is only a little scratch, so be at peace okay."(Forvish)

I soothe her.

"Dad, I will stay with you, I will protect you dad!!"(Lune)

"Lune, it is okay I am more worried about the others at home, so please take care of them for me okay."(Forvish)

"But, But!"(Lune)

She begins to cry. I hug her to comfort her.

"I believe in you Lune."(Forvish)

"Dad, please come back safely.."(Lune)

"I will."(Forvish)

Then as I say that Lune calms down.

"Dad. You big idiot."(Lune)

"Yeah, yeah your dad is an idiot. So please help this idiot dad okay?"(Forvish)

She nods then Leon asks me.

"Forvish, your enemy is a top class criminal please be careful."(Leon)

"Yeah."(Forvish)

Immediately Lumiere came.

"Forvish, thanks for your help. With this my mom is safe."(Lumiere)

She bows her head, then I see my parents surprised faces.

Is it really that rare?

"I am sorry for ordering you around yesterday. Please forgive me."(Lumiere)

"Don't worry it is because of the bet, anyways you should go to your moms side. You can only met your mom after the case is over."(Forvish)

"Thanks, after this I will treat you to lunch at least I can do that much."(Lumiere)

Then she goes to her moms side.

As I spin around dad says.

"Forvish, you bastard how much luck do you have with women!!"(Leon)

He grabs my collar and shakes me.

"She just treats me as a friend."(Forvish)

"Fucking BRAT, are you BLIND OR SOMETHING. You natural born playboy!!"(Leon)
