Chapter 11- The great search part 2 - Hikaru

I admit that I was jealous. I did not want any other guy looking at Yuyi lecherously. Those lusty wolves were seizing Yuyi up as if she was an easy snack. The system should have given them a penalty for their immoral behaviour. I was tempted to beat them up just for looking at Yuyi.

They were staring at her butt and her long beautiful legs. Yuyi is just too oblivious to her surroundings like usual. She is too defenseless, I am worried that some other wolf will come and devour her.

Haii...Baka Yumi! Why must you show off your legs? Show them to me only.

I could not stand it any more. Yuyi was looking at me expectantly, waiting for me to praise her more. She look cute with her new look. She may become popular in Otherworlds like the beautiful swords-woman I heard of in the water continent.

“Hey, isn't that girl hot? I call dips, you can have my leftovers.” Wolf A said.

“No way, bro! I saw her first, I get to soil the fresh snow.” Wolf B said.

Grrr. That's it! We are out of here! I cannot stand those wolves talking about Yuyi like she is their prey. She is mine! ONLY MINE!!!Even if I have to lock her up, NOBODY can have her!! Muhahaha!!

I grabbed Yuyi’s wrist roughly and pulled her into the library.

“Ouch! What’s wrong, Hikaru?” Yuyi said as she pulled away from my strong grip. She massaged her wrist as she stared at me stunned by my sudden actions.

Baka Yuyi! You are so blur. You don’t even know that you were being leered at by a bunch of perverts! I gritted my teeth and growled out: “....Grr...We are already late. You promised to help me search right? So let’s go.”

“Still, You did not have to drag me in. I have legs you know.” Yuyi replied grudgingly.

I subconsciously stared at her bare legs. Long, beautiful and pale like snow. I want mark her as my own.

“Hey! Eyes up!” Yuyi blushed as she said.

Ah. Fufufu, I was caught. I tore my eyes away from her beautiful legs and faked a cough.

“So… Like I said previously. I will share this quest with you, if you will prepare lunch for me from now on. Deal?” I put out my right hand for her to shake on this deal.

“Okay. Okay. But only for a month.” Yuyi cautiously shook my hand, not that I blame her. I often trick her into doing stuff for me.

I swipe my hand and open the control menu to invite Yumi into my party.

A screen window appeared in front of her.

Do you accept Taiyo’s party invite?

“...So you are called Taiyo here….” Yuyi murmured to herself.

“What did you say? Hurry up and accept my invite.” I said impatiently as I waited for her to tap the accept button.

Yuyi tapped the accept button and stared at me with a faraway look in her eyes. Her eyes seem to roam all over my new appearance, as if I was her favourite eye candy. Yuyi looks as if she wants to eat me up like a chocolate bar.

Yes! Finally, I had thought all my effort to slay that over-grown wolf had gone to waste.

“The same coat that Shadow was wearing! How?! Where?! Where did you get this?” Yuyi exclaimed in surprise. “ Even the boots! I never knew you like Shadow too!”

Yes, I cosplayed for the girl I like. I cosplayed as her favourite character, as I was jealous of him. She always fan-girl over his image and re-watch all episodes and parts where Shadow appears. Yuyi would squeal every time he say some cheesy line like “You are my one and only” or “My love for you is too much for me to bear” and when that 2 Dimensional character smiles, she swoons and collapse in her seat! She never had that reaction when I smile at her! GRR...

“But I look better than him right?” I purposely smirked, hiding my anger. If Yuyi says no, I do not know what will I do. Perhaps, tear all her posters of Shadow and delete all her picture of him. Man, I really hate that 2D character!

“....Hmmm….Slightly.” Yuyi blush slightly and looked away.

“Only a bit?” I asked her, pouting purposely, knowing that I had won against that 2D creep.

“Ehhh...Anyway, What is the quest about?” Yuyi changed the subject abruptly.

“Fufufu... I see. You are changing the subject to hide your embarrassment. Very well, I shall let you off this time. The quest is to find all 4 bookmarks to get the key to the portal of Sapientia (the world of wisdom). I have already found one. We need to find the other 3 bookmarks. here is the first one I found in a book.” I explained.

I swipe open my inventory and tapped on the bookmark. The bookmark materialise out of thin air and landed gently on my palm. I passed it over to the puzzled Yuyi. She took the bookmark cautiously and examine it.

“So we are suppose to look for bookmarks that look similar to this one?” Yuyi said uncertainly.

“Yes. So let’s get started! You take the 2nd floor and I’ll take the first.” I replied.

Yuyi nodded and move towards the staircase, admiring the beautiful setting for the magical library. As Yuyi made her way up the stairs. I purposely moved underneath the transparent glass steps. I pretended to be searching a shelf but in reality I was actually looking up her skirt. Call me a pervert but hey I am a hot blooded male.

As she got closer and closer, my eyes were glued to her slender upper thigh. As Yuyi moved closer and closer till she is directly above me.

NOOoooooo. She was wearing shorts underneath her skirt! I was extremely disappointed. Hai…. Back to the search.

After 30 Minutes…

“Hikaru!!! Oh. I mean Taiyo, I found something!” Yuyi shouted excitedly.

“Where?” I exclaimed as I ran up the stairs.

“Look here!!” Yuyi lifted up a chair and pointed to the floor.

I stared at the place she was pointing at.

“I don't see anything.” I replied.

“Come closer. Don't you see an outline here.” Yuyi bend down and lift off this square wooden plank that was camouflaged by the wooden flooring. Yuyi reached in and took out a red bookmark with a different gold pattern on it and pass it to me.

“Identify!” I said eagerly.

“Yuyi!!! You Found it!!!” I shouted.

“No need to shout. Now we know that the other 2 bookmarks have a different pattern and colour from this 2 bookmarks. We been looking for these bookmarks by a wrong method. Let me take a look at the 2 bookmarks we found.” Yuyi said logically while covering her ears.

“Yes, you are right. Fufufu, to think that I am wrong for once. Fufufu, this quest has gotten interesting. Here you go.” I passed the 2 bookmarks to her.

She examined them for a while and said: “Wisdom and Observation…… They are linked to how we found the bookmarks! So the other 2 has to be linked to attributes that wise people possess.”

“Hmmm...Like being quick-witted, open minded and curious to learn?” I suggested.

“Yes, but I think Being curious to learn has already been crossed out as you found it in the book. So perhaps something related to being astute and open minded.” Yuyi reasoned.

“Fufufu...I agree. I will handle the astute one and you will handle open minded. As we both know who is the more intelligent one here.” I said arrogantly.

“Hmmph! We shall see about that. Bet that I can find the bookmark faster than you!” Yuyi huffed.

“So what do you want to bet, my dear?” I smiled mischievously.

“Winner get one wish granted by the loser.” Yuyi said confidently.

“You sure...??” I questioned her as I licked my lips on purpose.

Yuyi blushed beet red like in real life. Otherworlds is unique in that it shows all the emotions you are feeling via your avatar. If you are not careful in restraining your emotions, you will blush like this cute Yuyi here.

“ Eh… I change my mind. Loser treats the winner to ice cream from the Coffee Neko Cafe.” Yuyi said, while blushing.

“Fufufu… You are so fun to tease. Alright, I accept. Too bad I won’t get a taste of you” I teased her knowingly.

Yuyi blushed once again and dashed off to find her bookmark.

Hmmm being astute huh….. I really picked the short end of the stick. Well, it is all is going according to the plan. Time for stage 3 of the plan...Muhahaha! Yuyi, you better watch out. Muhahaha....
