Chapter 2: Everything I do, I do it for Ruka- Hikaru

“Hikaru-senpai! Please give this to Ruka-senpai!” a petite girl said earnestly, blushing while biting her lower lip.

“No problem. I will do so for you.” Hikaru nodded and flashed his million watts smile at the girl.

Behind his sweet smile, however, Hikaru schemed: Another love letter for Ruka …..Your beloved Onii-san will take care of this. Fufufu….

As soon as the girl thrust the letter into his hand and ran off, Hikaru set off to find Ruka.

At home….

“Ruka! Why didn’t you wait for me? ”Hikaru shouted as he burst through the front door of the house.

“Oh! Ani, just in time. The delivery guy just delivered another gaming pod. Is yours spoiled?” Ruka asked with a puzzled face.

“Ruka, that’s for you. Don’t you remember? You promised me that you will play Otherworlds with me…if I became the Valedictorian.” Hikaru beamed proudly as he said it, making sure to carefully enunciating every syllable va-le-dic-tor-ian. Finally, Hikaru thought, he will be able to spend more time with Ruka while gaming. Killing two birds with one stone.

Ruka sighed as he had no choice but to play this new Virtual Reality Massive Multi-Player game his brother had been raving about. Hikaru could be very demanding and stubborn at times.

“Ruka, think of it as a form of training to overcome your shyness towards other people. I’m sure you will like the game. Onii-san guarantees it!” Hikaru smiled reassuringly.

“Okay, Ani….” Ruka reluctantly agreed. Although Hikaru’s smile was reassuring, Ruka felt like he was walking into a trap.

“Fuufuufuuu, the time has come to corrupt my younger brother and turn him into a gamer like me. Fufufu….Now all that is left is to burn those 2 love letters for Ruka that I receive today…MuHAhAhAhah! If they do not even have the courage to talk to Ruka, then they are not worthy of being his girlfriend! Yui-san better treat me to lunch for this. I have kept all those girls going after my beloved brother at bay… Fufufu” Hikaru smiled silently to himself, proud that he has finally found a girl suitable for his beloved awkward brother.
