《The Gambling Demon King is full of Misfortune》Chapter 8

I woke up, the sun blinding me.
“Time to hunt”
I said with a small grin, as I hopped out of my bed, grabbed my shortsword and club and left for the forest.
I was in a part of the forest that was mostly filled with rabbits and wolves.
After a few minutes of walking around, looking for something to kill. I came across a rabbit… with a weird horn on its head.
‘It’s a horned rabbit’
I thought, as I readied my shortsword and club, and I pounced on it.
“Die!”
I shouted as I hit it in the head multiple times with the club, using the shortsword to block its horn.
I killed it… but, it’s inedible… mostly because I hit it too much… now, it’s literally an amalgamation of blood, guts and… fur.
“Eeergh!”
I shouted in disgust, as I threw it away.
“Grrrr”
I threw it right into the mouth of a wolf.
“Well then, let’s fucking do this!”
I shouted as I sprinted towards it, prepared to kill.
It was taken aback by my sudden movement, which allowed me to give it a swift… multiple club strikes to the head.
“Ha ha ha ha ha!”
I laughed, as I grabbed the wolf and took it back to camp, to be cooked.

“Alright then… let’s get some more exp”
I said, as I returned to the woods.
Only to see… another fucking ogre!!!
“Oh… me and my fucking luck… god damn it!”
I whispered angrily, as I readied my shortsword and club.
“Come get some!!!”
I shouted, as I stabbed it in the back of the leg.
“ROOOAR!!!”
It roared in pain, as it swung its club at me.
“Oh fuck!”
I shouted, as I dodged the club.

I then counterattacked by stabbing the ogre in the leg, causing it to cry out in pain.
“GRAAAAAAH!!!!”
It swung its club downwards, trying to crush me.
“Oh fuck!”
I shouted, as I rolled out of the way of the club and stabbed it in the toe.
“GRAH!!!”
It roared as it kicked me in the stomach, causing me to go flying back.
“Guh!”
I shouted in shock as I tried to get up.
“Bring it on you son of a bitch!!!”
I shouted with a grin on my face, as I rushed at it.

I woke up, covered in blood with the ogre lying next to me. With its head lopped off, and a dead rabbit next to me.
I slowly got up.
“Never… doing that… again”
I said, as I limped back to camp, with the dead rabbit in my hand.
“This’ll be a decent snack”

“Looks like I didn't kill the ogre using the club… damn”
I said, as I began to eat my dinner, which was a cooked wolf and cooked rabbit.
“I know that this should’ve been a snack… but, it’s better to go to sleep on a full stomach”
I said to myself, as I continued eating.
“Oh, right… [Status]!”
I said, as I remembered about my status.

I said as I laid on the grass and looked at the sky.

I thought, as I began to fall asleep.

I woke up, around half an hour later.
“Aaaah~ That was a good nap… now, do I have anything left to do today… oh right! The lottery!”
I shouted in sudden realization.
“System!”
Yes?
“Lottery, please”
Rolling.

“What happened to me!?”
I asked angrily.
The curse of any living being, no matter how small. Will always result in a mutation. Your body has suffered from that mutation. So, you’re part snake. But, there’s a good side to this. You can secrete poison from your fangs.
“Fangsss!? Poissson!? Fucking hell! I can’t talk with the letter ssss anymore! God damn it!”
I shouted angrily.
You are also immune to certain types of poison, like the ones you have at your disposal
“Onesss… like… more? What typesss of poisssonsss do I have?”
I asked.
Numbing, Venom, Petrifying and a poison that can work as medicine. In small doses.
“Ssso… I’m immune to medicine to?”
I asked.
No, you’re not.
“Okay… good… now, I’m going to sssleep”
I said, as I passed out.
Oh, and you’ll be compelled to sleep when it’s hot out. Sort of like hibernating… and snakes will be more attracted to you.

Reincarnation Station: Death, Cake and Friendship
All Fred wants is a chance to sing and dance on Broadway. This dream is looking increasingly unlikely, as he dies on the second page. Reincarnation Station is a tale of dubious taste and even more dubious humour. An absurdist exploration of death, dungeons, and dance coupled with mind-bending philosophical questions such as whether or not a jaffa cake is really a cake or just a pretentious biscuit. WARNINGS: Puns. Stats. An Attempt at a System. Gore. Ballet. British. So British your blood will turn to tea. Strong language. You have been warned. There will be rude words. Likewise, if you are related to me in anyway, turn off your device and walk away right now. Life is awkward enough as it is without having to discuss this over dinner.

Fortuna Verto
A girl’s luck changes when her world changes upon itself, sending her back and forth between a world she knows and another that shouldn’t even exist. Working with her parallel self from that other world, the two must adjust to their alternate form when visiting the other’s world, as they search for a way to escape the chains of misfortune they are bound to. While this story is the conclusion of the trilogy, it is also fully capable of standing alone in its own light, as the world of Celese itself is no longer a place the characters will be journeying through. However, the events of the story are a spoiler for all previous books, in case that matters to anyone. This book has an additional chapter after the final chapter that represents the trilogy conclusion, and should not be read until all three books are read first. Fortuna Verto continues the events of Essentia Animus to advance society into a sci-fi interpretation of Celese, bringing events to a distant world of another star. At the same time, events interpret a real-world advancement into a similar sci-fi age of another planet that shares Earth’s galaxy, a planet that has also been linked by the Celesi Veil. English remains predominant in both worlds of the story, but the presence of both sides makes certain Aethyx terms stand out, while Earth-styled scientific terms will also stand in a powerful contrast. Instrumentation remains an important aspect of the Elemental Era, but the influence of the gift has grown distant after discovering the superiority of the elements. Harnessing the elements had eliminated some of the original limitations of instrumentation, allowing for a self-sustaining focal source that provides solutions to problems such as automation. This turns the development available from the previous modern-day sense of a fantasy to one that is deep-future. Finally, opening access to the passage across the veil will open this progress in comparison to a very similar deep-future parallel world without such fantasy elements, contrasting the laws of physics with the laws of elements in a convergence of time and space.

This project has no purpose
Summary: This is the story about the life of a "human" amidst a world that only appears to be earth at first glance. Long ago the face of this world resembled the typical tales of yore; of knights and fairies, swords and magic, however such an era has come and gone. Even the world of fantasy has progressed steadily into the modern epoch filled with the wonders of science and technology! In the ancient times a certain crisis had occured that lead to the quick decline of various magical species. Due to their low population and general incompatibility with the other races they could not crossbreed to save their numbers. Left with no other choice the major races of the world gathered together in an attempt to change the fate of this dying world. Their only hope was a special 'world-tier' magic known as 'the dusk of harmony'. The result of this magic would dissolve every race into their purest essences known as 'aspect' and instill them within the human population. The humans were the best choice as their numbers were numerous and form was similar to most races. As such, the various races of this world managed to save themselves in essence and soul only, though perhaps there was no other choice. With the various humans now carrying the weight and aspects of those who came before, life has continued onto the modern age. Yet, even amongst these hybrids 'Pures' emerge from time to time, beings who have inherited not only aspects of the ancient races, but their forms too. These Pures are often times exceptionally talented and seen as near deities. This is the story of a perculiar boy who is born with the soul of a stranger from the world known as 'Earth'. With the memories and soul of a human, he too is a rare Pure; a pure human. --- This project literally has no purpose and is being written because I felt like it. There isn't any semblance of a solid direction nor have I thought about any characters aside from the main character and a few auxiliary cast. If you would like to contribute to building this world with me then please contact me through a DM or by leaving a comment, I will be sure to credit you.
