《Gallanor (On hiatus)》Chapter 24: The white Robed Reaper

A miniature supernova. That was the quickest way to deal with the group.
"Lycan, are there any spells for shielding?" (Darren)
Lycan nodded and a barrier formed around them.
With a nod Darren formed a mass of darkmatter about the size of a baseball. He breathed out slowly. He needed it to be just large enough to cause a supernova, but small enough so that a black-hole wouldn't.
Nulguard's secondary base of operations was under attack. That was all the group was told. The alarm glyphs were set off ten minutes ago. When Matrim tried to contact Twistspeak through the resonance crystal there was no response. If things went bad here Vulkrim would have his head. He had been placed as local leader due to connections with one of the Shivs. While his brother had pulled some strings for him, Matrim knew that if he blew this, his brother wouldn't show mercy even to him. No, he wouldn't show mercy because it was him.
Matrim pulled out all the stops. He knew that whoever had ported in the base was powerful enough to bypass the warding glyphs. Almost every fighter and mage was currently in route to the holding cells.
The strongest fighters were forming a shield wall, which in turn stretched from one side of the hallway to the other. The shields themself were anti-magic. With the ability to cancel out tier 3 and lower fire, water, ice, earth, and air spells.
"FORWARD" (Nulguard Commander)
The command came as soon as every fighting member was in the hall. The frontline moved forward. As they were just about to reach the corner a small black ball came into view. The frontline came to a halt and raised their shields. The blackball pulsed for a moment. Then it collapsed. Less than a nanosecond later fires hotter than the core of a star raced down the hallway. The bricks directly around the explosion evaporated. The dwarves in the frontline died instantly. Those behind them as well, the flames and corpses of those in front of them crushing and disintegrating them. Not even ash was left in its wake. The supernova consumed all. Those who were trying to descend down the stairs survived. However with the severity of their burns death would soon take them. Only Matrim and his commanders were left. The dwarf looked on in horror at the slaughter.

Lycan had formed a wall of ice directly infront of them, infusing it with antimagic glyphs. Darren, as an extra precaution, put a thin layer of darkmatter on the back of it.
Only the thin layer of darkmatter matter survived the blast. With a sigh of relief Darren dispelled it. As Darren stepped forward to survey the devastation he fell to a knee. With his spells and Lycan's he was completely drained of mana.
"You alright?" (Urvos)
"Yea, just give me a moment." (Darren)
After a few moments Darren pushed himself to his feet. The first thing he noticed was the crater, in he area closest to the darkmatter sphere. The crater actually extended to the walls and roof. Three meters in all directions were completely gone. Leaving dirt and ravaged foundations. As the group climbed down and out crater they noticed a group descending down the stairs.
When Matrim saw the the human and dwarf he seethed with rage. He hadn't expected this. They had dozens of political prisoners, and family members of nobles. But the people that were saved were those guards. One look at the human however and he knew who had cast the spell. The human looked completely exhausted. Every step seemed to be a burden. Matrim breathed a sigh. The human had put everything into that spell hoping to clear out all opposition. Matrim believed that the human had left himself with nothing to defend himself with. His three commanders had smiles on their faces. While two of them had smiles of relief the other had a condescending smile.
"What now human? Do you think we'll just let you go. It's obvious that you used everything on that last spell. And although it was powerful, how will you defend yourself now?" (Mage commander)
Without a word the human pulled out a peculiar device from his coat. A loud bang resounded throughout the hall. Even the human and dwarf held there ears after the discharge. After the ringing subsided Matrim turned to his commander only to see he was dead. A hole in the middle of his head. When Matrim looked back towards the human he noticed that the deviced was aimed at him. However instead of a bang only a click was heard.

"Shit. I forgot to check my ammo." (Darren)
Now Matrim donned a condescending smile. With a motion from his hands the other two commanders rushed the human and dwarf. One had a greatsword while the other had two small daggers. Before they got halfway there the guard produced an odd looking bow. Without notching an arrow the dwarf pulled back the string. When he released it an arrow flew threw the dagger wielding dwarves head. Before the greatsword wielding dwarf took another step an arrows was shot at him as well. However, the dwarf struck the arrow midair with his sword. The arrow shattered into hundreds of tiny ice shards. The shards continued ot move past the dwarf. After moving another few feet the arrow reformed. Matrim's eyes widened as he realized where the arrow was heading, but it was too late. The arrow pierced his stomach and shattered again sending iceshards throughout his body. He died the moment they pierced his brain.
The moment the greatsword wielding sword heard his bosses screamed he turned to see what had happend. However when he turned back around arrows pierced both of his eyes.
As the body hit the ground Urvos turned with an arrogant smile towards Darren.
"Can your composite bow do that?" (Urvos)
"Well shit, you got me there." (Darren)
Lycan shook her head as the two laughed.
"Anyway I'm guessing Nigel is being held down the other path. Lets got catch up with Gernam's group. After we find Nigel we can search this place for anything valuable." (Darren)
Urvos and Lycan nodded and group turned around.

The Undead Revolution
This was my first attempt at writing a story, in hiatus indefinitely. This story follows Silvy, half-elf, a rare race despised by both humans and elves. Having never met her father, the first years of her life were spent together with her mother, who had to leave her native village because of the blasphemy she had committed by giving birth to Silvy. At the age of eight, Silvy became an orphan and was left to fend for herself. Her mother had died of illness, Silvy’s life turning upside down: the child went from living in a modest but cozy home with poor but daily meals to live outside the walls in the slums, where crime was commonplace and food was scarce. Luck had yet to abandon her completely though, because a group of orphans like Silvy decided to help, integrating her into their group and teaching the tricks of the trade; that is, stealing and swindling. But fate had not yet finished playing with her. Kidnapped and frightened, her life will turn upside down again when she awakens as undead, but still able to think clearly.
