We went to the forest outside the city to look for the broken bit of gem that came from Varvara’s pendent.

Apparently it was made of really high quality material that she could use to upgrade our weapons.

Walking side by side Leo and I proceeded towards the location of our first quest.

After a while Leo struck up a conversation.

“Hey boss, do you think that I can become strong enough to defeat a dragon one day?”

That came out of the blue.

Let’s see if I remember he was about 3 or 4 since he came to this city, so he would have been old enough to have a back story.

Did a dragon kill his family or something, or does he need a dragon to do something?

That being said how strong are dragons anyway?

Like that Kobold Leader, it can kill intermediate ranked users in one hit, and it’s an E ranked monster!

And if an S rank someone that is someone with Emperor Class power then a corresponding monster might have the power to rival a god ranked power.

So in summary, holy shit is Leo dreaming big.

All righty we finally found the broken bits of pendent, though took longer than expected.

One problem, there’s a Kobold Leader staring us down.

He engages the Kobold Leader while chanting.

The Kobold Leader swipes towards Leo.

Leo smashed his sword into the club, the club promptly exploded, and his smash went towards the Kobold Leader, it connected and the poor guy exploded into gore.

Are you shitting me, the most dangerous thing about the Kobold Leader is their burst power which reaches intermediate levels of destruction.

But Leo power level just went over 9000 with just his elementary incantation.

Well fuck me; the boy is a XianXia protagonist.

As a post script Varvara, used her fire to give birth to iron dagger +999 durability (with mana-reduction and increased blunt, slash, and stab bonus) and iron sword +999 durability (with mana-reduction and increased blunt, slash, and stab bonus)

So basically under Emperor levels of strain our weapons will never break, our mana efficiency Is increased so we can use incantations with less strain, and basic overall increased damage output.

HOLY shit.

Apparently the magic required to craft this sword is a King ranked magic.

Varvara’s a King ranked Magician.

She’s so OP.

And Leo’s basically a XianXia.

All I have is a rhythm game.
