《The Administrator》Chapter 5: So you’re saying //translate exists?

That’s roughly what was written on the Tutorial, after correcting the spelling mistakes I made due to carelessness. I thought that what was written was much shorter than expected. It looked like a thick textbook, after all. However, most of it was completely empty.
A screen opened up in front of my face.
‘Would you like to choose a job?
Y/N
Type the answer in console’
Let me think this through. If I were to be hasty and pick a bad job, I will not be able to change it. Also, I may find a better job. It’s better to just wait and choose one after a bit of thought.
‘Console’
The screen appeared in front of my face.
‘Console
Please enter your command
N_
You have declined picking a job
Oh, yeah, may as well use the /help command while the console is open.
/help_
Player will receive list of commands
Another list appeared in my hand. This time, it is only one piece of paper. Is the amount of commands that I have so small? However, it makes a lot of sense, considering I’m only a level one with low stats.
Available commands:
/help: gives a list of available commands that has level requirements met and commands manually typed in. The paper cannot be seen by other players/characters.
/statusRedis: allows player to redistribute status points.
/temp.Boost:boosts a selected stat by 3 times for 5 minutes. 1 hour cooldown, mana cost 2 times the selected stat value. Multiplication values, time and value scale based on Int value and selected parameters.
/job.reSelect: Allows player to reselect job. Resets player level, job level and skills. Unable to change job: administrator.
/kill: Allows player to kill him/herself. Deletes all items, status effects, and death penalties apply. Respawns at a random location in the nearest town.

/consoleTutorial: Gives player item: TutorialBooklet.
/translate: Translates any language into another language. Format: /translate [language1] [language2], where language1 is the original language, and language2 is the language you want to read in.
What. The. F*ck.
So you were saying my one entire afternoon translating the original language into English, and then making sense of it was completely useless? They should’ve shown me that that was a thing before I started! F*ck!
After cursing at the system for the rest of the afternoon, I decided to use the /translate command.
Console
/translate local_language Chinese
Local language has been translated to Chinese. Type //undo to undo
At least now I won’t have a problem with language again.
I thought about what I learnt from the two papers. First of all, why is every chapter after the first redacted? I flipped to the fifth page, to see if reading it was at least possible. The pages appeared blurry and when I tried to squint and read it, a window appeared in front of me, and wrote:
Level requirements not met 1/5(1/2)
Formatting: 1/5 is character level, (1/2) is job level. (TN: outside of brackets refers to current character levels/character level requirement, and in the brackets are current job level/job level requirement)
Damn it. Why give me such a thick stack when you only allow me to read 2 pages? Wait, two jobs? Aren’t people with two jobs normally trash chars? Does that mean I am an op MC in the future? [Spoiler](not for the near future, not sure if will be so in the later chapters though, depending on whichever direction the story goes) (TN: those are author’s notes, not mine) I decide to try out the other commands, and mainly /temp.Boost. It could help me in a life-or-death situation.
I picked up a piece of scrap wood and squeezed it as a control. As expected, nothing happened at all. My stats are all 1, so there will be little effect, but I at least want to know that it works.

/temp.Boost
Please pick the stat to buff (Vit/Int/Sta/Agi/Dex/Str)
Str_
Activated. Time left: 4:59
I picked up the scrap wood, and this time I squeezed it till it warped and deformed.
Wait, didn’t they say something about editing the modifiers?
/temp.Boost Str {[multiply.value]=3, [time.duration.value]=1(min), [mana.cost.query]}
Valid. Mana cost: 0.3 points, rounded to 1. (1*(3/2))/5 = 0.3, rounded to nearest non-zero integer = 1 (TN: The value is different based on the Str value)
Oh, so it works this way. They system uses math in order to calculate the mana value, and rounds it to the nearest mana cost. Since my strength stat is 1, 1 is also the mana cost without editing the modifiers. I did not think that the commands would work, but as a developer, I know how the console works in the game version, so it probably works in the isekai version. Surprisingly, even the mana cost inquiry modifier was transferred, since it is used to check if the internal calculators worked.
