“On my body this partial armor still begins to glow, while I am still trying to figure out how to control the suit Dorian comes up to me.”

[Dorian]” boy how did you create this? I have never before seen something of this nature before.”

“I think for a split second before I began to tell him the reason im able to create things of weird nature.”

“I tell him its cause of using this skill called Material configuration, every time I want to create something for my own benefit, all the various ingredient and items are drawn towards me and combined to my body to make what you would call new inventions. But the down side is that it will only cover my full legs and arms.”

Then he asked me another question “wondering if this skill is learnable since it could easily help him with new ideas in blacksmithing.”

I told him I was basically born with the skill so I don’t know all the secrets of what it could do, but I do know now that if I learned blacksmithing and other crafts it can maybe show me a pathway to understanding its uses.

Then Dorian tells me why don’t I just be his apprentice and whatever I build is my own but if he needs help on a particular item I help him by changing it when I get more control over my powers.

Just like that a month passed by I have come to the forge every day since then and I have been able to gain a bit more muscle over time. The first day I started my training Dorian told me to hit the anvil with as force as possible and do it as many times as possible till I got tired. I was only able to do it once before my body starting shaking UN controllably. After a few more times I got the hang of it and the rhythm. Then right before I was about to do it again, ding resounded in my head and a window popped up before me.

It read “ You have just learned the skill vibration shock aborption.”

[Vibration shock absorption]:

• the user is able to absorb one percent of any vibrations that travels through the body. As the skill gets stronger you will be able feel exactly where the vibrations are coming from.

• Skill may develop into extreme echolocation if the skill toggle is on for too long subjecting the user to being extremely sensitive to vibrations in his sphere of influence.

• Once the user can tell how strong the vibrations are you’ll be able to guide it out of your body making you immune towards this.

After I finished reading I ran towards Dorian he was sitting on his comfy chair while waiting for me to tire myself from the strength training.

Then I blurted out “Dorian Dorian I gained a new skill its call vibration shock absorption after hitting the anvil so many times with the hammer.”

[Dorian]” huh, wait what kid you shouldn’t have learned that skill until after you could find impurities within the ignots. What sort of monster are you to learn how to properly resist the vibrations.

“Damn this kid doesn’t know it yet but he is extremely talented if was a genius for doing it in six months what would they call this kid that did it in less than a month, is he a god the making!”

“ we might as well move to the next step, Rad my boy it is time for you to move on the next step you will build your first weapon you can choose which one to make and ill show you as many time how to make it perfectly, till you are able to do it on reflex.”

Well it’s been a couple of days since I have been practicing how to make a sword and I could say im getting fairly good at this after heating

Up the ignots in the forge I poor it in the sword shape caste so it can to take the proper form. And I could say it came out nice. After a bit of precise banging on it for an hour.

Usually you would think that you will get a skill for making a specific weapon for the first time and I did think that, but what I have come to figure out from Dorians instructions is that anything you build doesn’t have its own skill black smiting is black smiting.

“so even if I was to create a sword, bow, armor, or helmet it will all be the same it’s just black smiting, he also said it would be a waste of time if each one had their own sub categories since you would have to individually grind one till it’s about master level which would in return waste a lot of time.”

A few more months passed while I am learning the basics of black smiting, then the day came when I learn that I have passed the basic rank and from now on anything I make will have to come from my imagination. I cant keep making the same swords shields and armors I have to make my own type of weapon that will make my own name known.

In a few years Dorian sad I’ll be going to school so when I turn ten I will be sent off to learn more about this world and about the secret and potential of my powers everyone has to go even if you are poor he said.

But before then, while I am creating my own unique weapons and tool I will venture out into the woods to train my body by hunting the various monsters so that I won’t look weak when I leave, also so I could protect myself.

Since I already have my feline suit model one will be adding to it by creating weapons that’ll be able to detach themselves from it or add on attachment.

The first attachment I made after progressing passed the basic stage of my craft I tried making a unique weapon with a range feature.

It will attach to my forehand, after I was finished crafting the thin disk shooter that will shoot out the projectiles I made I made another attachment to the side of the tube which will shoot out tiny needles made of metal. But the thing its I will have to make the tiny projectiles in quantity if I want it to be effective.

The first one I decided to make first was the one I was un familiar with the disk . to make the disk I would need some kind of way to cut the the glass block in to tiny disk shapes without making them to big. After carving a long block with a knife carefully I finally made it into a perfect circle on the second try. Then I used what they call a paper an ore cutter and affixed the glass at the right width height and length and I gently cut the first slice and it looked perfect. Before I started to make more I inserted it in the cartridge and tried to shoot it into the testing area for weapons.

But before I could shoot it a window popped up.

“what would you like to name this weapon attachment”

I say I would like to call it “ [Mini Divider model (1)]:

• a weapon capable of severing any thing in its path if given enough spin and power.

• You can add elements to increase spin or destructive power.

After shooting it the first time it did not go very far before lightly falling on the ground, then an idea popped into my head what would happen if I supplied it with some of the wind magic in my skin would I fly faster?

Before long I inserted it again into the disk cartridge I made and I channeled the gentle breeze threw my skin towards the disk and before I shot it off at the target it I heard a light whistle and I fisted my hand and it shot out a bit faster before but what was different after getting some rotation it cut off the targets arm in one move.

“ damn that was so cool my eyes lit up as I saw the slicing damage it had.” Omg this is so going to be my middle ranged weapon.”

After a few more test shots I think it was time for me to try this on a the smallest monster in the forest and I think I know just who to try it on. As I am getting ready to go on my first outing I have Dorian as my emergency if I almost get myself killed, then I notice a flaw in my plan I have not set foot outside of this house since I first came here, ”what if the first time I set foot out and a giant bug comes and sucks the life out of me , I don’t have a plan I do not know what types of animals to hunt first, am I going to be the one hunted?

I walk over to Dorian to ask what is the weakest animal in this forest and where can I find it.

I get a simple nod, as if he is affirming what I said and he said the weakest monster in the forest is a flying squirrel if you base it on power levels but it has great adaptability, the next weakest is the easiest to find and it’s a paper snake it slithers on the ground shifting threw the blades of grass like the wind its fast but weak once you can avoid its first strike.

After putting my partial feline armor model one on we head out to hunt.

After twenty minutes of walking we quickly find a paper snake slithering around a baby mammal like creature. As it is squeezing it to death it pays me no attention to focus on its task.

As I am getting ready to take the shot aimed at the snakes head to test my new weapons effectiveness, I make sure to gauge the distance from where me and the snake are.

So as I steadly supply my gentle breeze to my glass disk I aim for its head and shoot it out, it travels the ten meters in a few seconds and right as it is about to hit the snake the parent squirrel comes out of nowhere “I have come to save you son!!!!”

To me I just heard a squeak, squeak, squeeeeeek! And right as the disk slashes the snakes neck it keeps traveling and it hits the parent flying squirrel right in the leg and it just gets sliced off,

As I look in horror of what I have done, right before the parent squirrel hits the ground it looks in my direction and I could hear inside my head “why human I was just trying to save my son? And a deafening splat resounds in the forest.

Author notes: tell me if you liked it basically im going kind of slow because I am building up the main character first not the world since he is only focused on black smiting and learning how to hunt so he could survive in this world. Tell me if you liked it or not or how I can make it better Im not good at conversational dialogue so please don’t bash me I can explain really well though.
