“Ahahaha, that’s better. Catch kid.” (Geoffrey)
Geoffrey pulled out a small coin pouch and threw it at me, and it struck my chest. This is so odd, I’ve got this odd sense of deja vu….
“What’s wrong kid? Ya don’t know how to catch?” (Geoffrey)
I pick up the coin pouch, and said, “Sorry, I was in a bit off a daze.” (Daniel)
“Is that so? Well don’t go spending it all at once. 10 silver’s not a lot, but it’s not a little” (Geoffrey)
But there’s a lot more than 10 silver in here....
Hmmm? Wait, there’s more than 10 silver in here? I opened up the small pouch, and too my surprise there actually was more than 10 silver in there! Should I say anything?
Geoffrey put my sword back in it’s sheathe and headed back to his shop. Let’s see if he notices after a week, if he does then he can keep the sword and I’ll take the money. I turned to Silvia, but as I was about to head out something told me that I should wait a little bit.
“Oh, wait” (Geoffrey)
Geoffrey turned around and called out to us,
“You know where the Adventurer’s Guild is?” (Geoffrey)
“Yeah.” (Daniel)
Wait do I know where it is? I don’t, but I do….
I do?
“Have you booked an inn yet? If not I’d like to recommend an inn.” (Geoffrey)
“The Heavy Forge Inn?” (Daniel)
“Yeah, how’d ya know? You should know where it’s at then, just tell them Jeff sent you, I’m sure they’ll give ya a discount. I’ll come find you after a week if you don’t come for me.”(Geoffrey)
“Sure thing” (Daniel)
And with that Geoffrey bid us farewell, and we made our way to the main street.
“Have you been here before?” (Silvia)
“No, but how do I put this. I feel like I’ve been here before, or at least part of it.” (Daniel)

We made our way to the Adventurer’s guild by the town square, and entered the large three-story building. And we made our way to the registration desks.
Ne of the receptionist turned to us with a smile, and asked, “Hello, how can I help you?” (Receptionist)
The receptionist was a beauty, a rare beauty, but something felt wrong. She felt out of place.
“Hello sir? How can I help you?” (Receptionist)
The receptionist called out to me again, “Ah, sorry we’d like to register as Adventurers.” (Daniel)
“Free or Full-?” (Receptionist)
I cut her off,“Full-Fledged.” (Daniel)
And I pulled out two pieces of silver, and put it on the desk.
“Very well, would you like to know how registration works?” (Receptionist)
“No, I know already.” (Daniel)
“Is that so? Then I’d like to fill out a survey.” (Receptionist)
The receptionist pulled out two pieces of paper, and a magic pen, “Your name?” (Receptionist)
“Daniel” (Daniel)
“Age?”(Receptionist)
“15” (Daniel)
“Class?” (Receptionist)
I feel like there’s a few questions missing here….
“Swordsman” (Daniel)
“Can you read and write?” (Receptionist)
“Yeah” (Daniel)
“Now, can I ask your friend’s name?” (Receptionist)
“Sil” (Silvia)
“Age?” (Receptionist)
“14” (Silvia)
“Class?” (Receptionist)
“Mage” (Silvia)
“Oh, you’re a mage! And you’re quite a young mage at that, that’s quite impressive.” (Receptionist)
Silvia grew a little red, “Thank you…” (Silvia)
So young mages are rare? That’s good to know, I’ll refrain from casting any spells in broad daylight.
“Okay, with that the survey is complete. Give me a moment to prepare you’re medallions and your Adventurer Cards.” (Receptionist)
The beautiful receptionist got up, and walked through the back door and came back a moment later with two small medallions with a crystal embedded into the center.
“Please hold these medallions for a moment, and try not to resist. The medallions will absorb a bit of your mana.” (Receptionist)

We took the small medallions in our hand, and I felt a small portion of my mana be absorbed. The receptionist took these medallions, and after another trip to the back of the room she came back with the cards and the medallions.
And she handed me a small brown card, with an especially small crystal embedded into it.
“Your Cards are directly linked to the Adventurer Guild’s system. You can used it to request assistance, request a rescue, accept missions, and forfeit missions. It also serves as an ID, Passport, Proof of Membership, and you can even use it to make purchases.” (The Receptionist)
“How handy.” (Daniel)
“As for your medallion it’s directly linked to your card, and allows us to validate some quests completion. It’s main usage is in the collection of bounties, and subjugation quests. The medallion will track how many monsters you kill, and what type of monsters you kill. Of course it’s up to you whether or not you make this information public, you can control that via the card.” (Receptionist)
This really is handy….
It’s obvious that some otherworlder has some hand in creating this system, otherwise it wouldn’t be this advanced.
“Would you like me to explain the Adventurer Ranks?” (Receptionist)
“Do they follow the same sort of ranking as the Danger Levels?” (Daniel)
“You’re correct, but Adventurer Ranks only go from E-S.” (Receptionist)
“Then who takes care of the SS, and SSS-Classes? How about the EX Class?” (Daniel)
“There are few monsters that fit that can be categorized as SS,SSS,or EX, and at that point they’re usually left to the country's army or the Heroes. There was one point though when a large group of S-Class adventurers were gathered to subjugate an SS-Class monster. But no Adventurer is obliged to do such a thing, nor does the Guild promote such a thing”(Receptionist)
“I see, and how are you classified in this system?” (Daniel)
“If you look at your card there’s a part of it that says Achievement Points, each mission has a certain number of Achievement Points attached to it and by reaching the required number of Achievement Points you can advance in rank by completing a Guild assigned advancement mission.” (Receptionist)
“I see, Thank you. Come on, Sil” (Daniel)
“Where are we going?” (Silvia)
“The Heavy Forge Inn, I’m tired.”
…
In an entirely white space, completely separated from everything else a black gate opened up, and an Adventurer walked out.
“Don’t you think you went a little overboard? Administrator?” (???)
The Adventurer responded to the voice, “And who do you think made me go overboard? Author?” (Administrator)
“What do you mean? I didn’t even write your segment! It was PR-san!” (Author-san)
“Does it make a difference? You still approved of it, and you even left it at a cliffhanger. My creator already had the scene finished.” (Administrator)
“But cliffhangers are so fun! Besides, PR-san didn’t argue with me.” (Author-san)
“You’re such an asshole. And if PR2-san weren’t writing this dialogue you’d be a madman!” (Administrator)
“You think I’m a madman! You think I’m insane! Well, I am!”(Author-san)
“Of course you are! How dare you cut-off the story at such an interesting point! How is anyone supposed to know if I’m a joke made for April Fools, or an integral part of the plot when you cut out the most crucial part!” (Administrator)
“You just wanted to be in the limelight…” (Author-san)
“I have a family to feed you know! I can’t just, just be a joke!” (Administrator)
“You are the literal figment of my, or rather PR-sans imagination you have no family!” (Author-san)
“Eh!?” (Administrator)
Anyways, Happy April Fools. Now is this chapter a troll, or was the other chapter a troll. Or were they both trolls! Is Administrator real!? Does he have anything to do with the plot!? Find out next time!
Actually that’s a lie, find out in like 20 or so chapters.

Protagonist: The Whims of Gods
Book one now also on Amazon! After quitting her job as a therapist and grabbing some work at a dog shelter, Tess's life became pretty slow. A tad boring, even. It thus came as no small surprise when she was chosen by a god. Thrust into a new world where magic, monsters, and character levels are suddenly a reality, Tess will quickly find that just surviving can be a challenge. It doesn't help that dark forces are stirring, she's woefully underpowered, and that spiders keep trying to claw her face off. One thing's for certain, though: The possibilities are endless. Will she end up wrestling a dragon? Becoming an arch-mage? Opening a quaint, bookstore, coffee shop, and wine bar for elves? The choice is hers... As long as she can live long enough to make it. Protagonist is a fairly classic LitRPG novel with character levels, classes, stats, settlements, and other LitRPG elements. Unlike a lot of LitRPG stories, while the protagonist has some perks, she doesn't start off overpowered. You can expect to see her struggle as she advances. This novel also takes the opportunity to explore some less frequently seen builds, shying away from any min-maxing. Chapters are about ~2000-3000 words and are released at 8:00am ET every other day.

A Broken World [Rewrite]
In a world of floating islands of stone in the sky, where rivers flow through the air and defy gravity from one island to another, and ancient ruins can be found containing wonders beyond what can be produced by the lands current inhabitants- a millenia long war rages. In the distant past, beyond recorded history, when the crown of humanity's glory, the city of Uri, had stood whole against the enroaching demon swarms- even as hope seemed lost, a band of heroes, against all odds, managed to steal powerful magical knowledge from the demons. With the demon's forbidden knowledge, in the heart of Uri a new ritual was made. Called, "The Millenial Summoning," the ritual had the power to call a being from another world that would have the power to change the world forever. The first being summoned became known as "The Speaker," and he brought the power of the Gods to the world. With the blessings and power of the new priests, the unstoppable demon hordes were finally halted. A thousand years later, the ritual was used again and "The First Sorceress" was brought to the world. She brought the knowledge of advanced magics, and techniques to find and refine magical talent. With the magic power now added to the battlefield, the stalemate was broken. And for the first time, the demons were pushed back. Another thousand years later, and all of humanites hope for a final victory were dashed. Traitors slew the ritual's participants and took their places, and humanity quaked as The Demon King stepped into the world. His name, his nature, where he came from none of these are known, but what is known is his overwhelming power and his brilliant strategic leadership of the formerly formless hordes. Still, despite their position being even more dire than it has ever been since history has been recorded, humanity held on for another thousand years. Aided, thankfully, by The Demon King not taking the field after the first few years and battles. Now, the ritual is being cast again and a new hero is being summoned. In our world, after nearly three decades of study and hard work, Lucas Jaeger is making his dreams come true. With a double doctorate in both genetics and microbiology, as well as an associates degree in accounting, he has finally, after nearly driving himself mad from stress and sick from overwork, been able to put to together a presentation and ask for a business loan. His long time dream, earned by his own blood and sweat, to start his own commercial genetic company is finally coming to fruition. Lucas's car never left the banks parking lot and Lucas was never seen again in our world. This is a rewrite of "A Broken World." It is basically the same story, just a thousand times better and with decent length chapters!
