Chapter 3- Mysterious Marine !
Meanwhile hundreds of thousands kilometers away,in a small island which was the base of marines,a thousand marines were close to each other with their chests high. They all were wearing their white military uniforms. Before them were a hundred Private Soldiers and ten Captains.
Before all of them was a single figure. His black hair were short and his eyes were light blue.He looked to be his middle or early thirties. He was wearing a marine cape saying,”JUSTICE”.”Admiral…”One of the captains whispered in his ear.”Ah?”The admiral woke up.Shockingly he was asleep. He slept for twenty minutes, leaving his soldiers tired.
“I am sorry, sorry.”He said scratching his head.He also laughed loudly, but the marines were already used to his personality. He may be lazy or stupid but in times of war he was the person all relied on.He took a paper from his pocket and started to read it.They were used with him also forgetting annoucements…
“Well we got news that the Sword Beast or also called Sword Pirate Emperor,Aka Furoko with his crew are now in a Island called “Twin Rings” at the Bluesky town. They have a kid as a hostage…?Well anyway they defeated ten thousand marines and they are asking for reinforcements.Yawn…”
“This is the end...Do your best Ye-yawn…Y”
At least end the annoucement properly!Besides who would sent such an annoucement to an Admiral?Wouldn’t they immediately sent reinforcements?!That was what every marine there thought but they didn’t dare to say it openly, who knew what would happen to them then?
The next moment tens of thousands to even a hundred thousand marines started to run towards the ships together. But the little fellows in the small island had no idea that an army of marines was headed towards their way…

Kuroken,Furoko,Murasa Kaiyo and the others didn’t know of the danger coming towards them, but they certainly knew an army of ships would head this way after all that mess.Their faces were somehow revealed to such a desolate place in the South Sea.But that no longer meant anything, they had to find a way to enter the Grand Line and then the New World before the marine blocked every way. They had returned to the Southern sea because their captain,Fukuro lived here but they had never expected to be ambushed here.
“Well what happened happened…”Fukuro sighed and looked at Kuroken,”You at least should escape before they know that you are helping us…”But Kuroken smiled,”Don’t worry I can easily defeat twenty marines. They can’t hurt me.Besides I am 100% percent sure they won’t attack me.”
Although they weren’t sure where this confidence came from, they decided to believe a child...But they had seen many things in their journeys,it wasn’t a surprise to meet a powerful child so why not believe to the end?Kuroken took out a sword from the bag he had since he was here.It was covered in a leather sheat but it’s aura was terrifying.
Fukuro and the others opened their eye wide,”Where did you get that sword?!”Kuroken pointed at the sword,”This?Hahaha I got this sword from my grandpa, the strongest swordsman in this world.”
Furuko made a wild guess,”Is your grandpa the Marine’s strongest Swordsman ever,Phoenix?!”Phoenix was a marine who even if you cut every limb would still fight you.If he had to choose a marine to fight,he would rather fight the current Fleet Admiral than him.Even between him and the Four Divine Beasts he would choose the weakest of the Four Divine Beasts.

“Yes,why?”Kuroken started to be proud.”He is a beast!I’d rather kill a child than fight him!I fought him once and for a month he didn’t stop fighting me!If my crew hadn’t helped me I may had died in that fight. But that years ago,now I am 100% percent I can defeat him with a few heavily injures.”
But at his confidence Kuroken sneered,”Did my grandfather use his sword back then? And was it unsheathed or sheathed?”Fukuro raised an eyebrow,”He was using his sword but it was sheathed for some reason.”He flet like smacking himself in the face, how stupid was he?
“You idiot! Can’t you see that a swordsman can only use his true power when he unsheaths his sword?”He probably thought that Phoenix, his grandpa used a secret style. His pride didn’t allow himself to think that he was tens of times weaker than Phoenix. But he kinda of understood how he felt now.Even when he started training at the age of four his grandpa had always been merciless to little him.
But now three years later he was a peerless genius. He may not be very strong now,but three years later even a thousand Marines may not be his match. That may be not true but at least 500 wouldn’t be his match.
Leaving that aside, they started to prepare for the future battle which would soon happen.Muramasa prepared weapons while Kaiyo set traps.Kuroken was training with his sword while Fukuro observed him.
They both used swords, but Fukuro used two swords. So his style of using swords was different. He,Kuroken used a different style and hadn’t still developed a real style that he could use like his own, because he was still a child after all.
“Ojji-san,can I show you my best strike?”Kuroken said innocently trying to trick Fukuro into taking his strike. And it worked,”Of course you can, heheh uncle is the best!”He scratched his own nose in proudness.
“Then be ready...Ojii-sann”Kuroken took an attacking stance as he revealed an evil smile towards Fukuro. Finally understanding what he was about to do,Fukuro immediately tried his best to defend.
Kuro(Short for Kuroken easier to write) shot like a beam forward while starting to become ready to strike. The sword suddenly shone black and white yet again.Fukuro raised an eyebrow,”Did it flash Haki of Colour Armament for a second?”But that second costed him a lot.In that flash of a second Kuro now was ten cm away from his neck. His sword was right a cm away from his neck, but he froze.
Fukuro clad it in haki in that flash of a second. It was a draw,or so Kuro thought...The next moment Fukuro raised his fist and slammed it into Kuro’s head.A huge bump appeared there as he fell on the ground, almost crying.”You are still far away from beating me...Kuro-chan.”
Fukuro smiled creepily at him which made him feel like slamming his fist on Fukuro’s face. But then he sighed and took out that thought from his mind.
There is a small chance that another chapter will be posted today.

Stranger than Fiction (Draft Edition)
Rewrite -> https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/55140/stranger-than-fiction 150k words of rewritten and new content, updating 3 times a day. Faith is like ice-cream. It comes in all flavors. Greek, Norse, Sumerian, Christian— just name it and it's there. Adventures, on the other hand, are like credit cards. The first taste is free, but the price only goes up from there. Family heirlooms, now those are true evil. You get burdened with them for sentimental reasons even if they’re icky. For Lukas Aguilar, it was a pendant. A small, weird metal nib with absolutely no vampiric tendencies. All he wanted was to finish the job at hand, and get on that book he had been postponing for a while now. Instead he got served with an apocalypse for breakfast, a cave full of eldritch monsters for the company and the whims of a ruined goddess for his To-Do list. Really, a simple NO from the universe would have sufficed. Acknowledgments Editor-in-Chief: Solo Starfish Artwork: Exodus
