The next morning Penny woke up later than usual, but very rested and clear headed. She took of the haptic suit and dressed in her exercise clothes, than did her morning routine. She than took a shower, dressed in another set of clothes and sighed.

-I am changing clothes a few times a day and it is eating up my time. A.I.C.A. search media for an item that can equip whole sets of equipment and can be specified which outfits. No magic girl transformations or power ranger morphing. If you don’t find something I will have to enchant a magic stone to teleport outfits from the pocket dimension on my body with specific coordinates and that is a pain.-

And since The Author couldn’t remember or find in searches something better, when A.I.C.A. showed Penny the results of fictions with more than 5 million views, downloads or sells, at least The Author thought there were at least that much, it was Jikuu Mahou de Isekai to Chikyuu wo Ittarikitari.

-In chapter 260 there appears a magic stone that exchanges clothes from an inventory in the stone with the ones worn by the user. It also cleans and mends the clothes stored in the stone, but by the look of things it can only store one outfit, so you will either have to modify how the stone works or steal and wear a number of them.-

First Penny downloaded the work in the original Japanese, then cast selective invisibility and stole the stone as the protagonist was giving a copy to his sister, then dimension traveled back. When she got back to the lab, she started carefully studying the stone and the newly apparent engravings on it. When the stone traveled dimensions it turned into a general magic stone and the effect of the magic translated into the familiar runes and magic diagrams, which M.A.L.A. had better success deciphering after acquiring all the magic gear from Diablo 2 Lord of Destruction.

-See here, right at that part of the diagram? That symbol is the number of clothing sets it can store in the inventory. I think that if we replace it with a higher number, we could achieve the desired effect.-

-Good, then let’s try it. If we succeed we will try to modify the form of the magic stone to the shell of a smart watch.-

Penny very steadily engraved the changed diagram with all other runes and writhing unchanged. The magi craft magic sure was useful when she needed to craft something. When done with the last rune and waiting a minute to see if the stone would explode, Penny got five sets of clothes, space suit, hazardous materials suit, enchanted prankster suit, ordinary prankster suit and a change of everyday clothes and moved them one by one in the inventory of the stone while waiting a minute between them, again to see if the stone would explode. When everything went without a problem, she injected a little magic power in the stone and a picture of all the sets of clothes was visible in her mind. She selected the everyday clothes and immediately had a magic girl transformation sequence that lasted less than a second. The stone’s modification was a complete success.

For now the clothes were transferred out of the stone’s inventory and the human and the assistant started designing the case or shell for the smart watch and how they would transfer the engravings on it and what modifications they should make. Penny was also thinking of what functions she wanted to include in the construction of the watch. She had some very good small, but powerful processors from all the things she had stolen and modified and other components to create a smartphone with the size of a watch if she replaced the screen with a hologram to compensate for size, so she went with that for the prototype. She quickly sketched the insides of the watch with the modeling program and sent it to the AIs for reviews, testing and optimization, while she started shaping a magic stone, before starting to engrave it.

A few hour after starting work, after multiple trials and errors, after writing, deleting and modifying the engravings, Penny had a working magic stone in the correct form. The AIs had finished their simulations and modifications on the internals of the smart watch and were fabricating them, so now she just had to slot them inside and she could test its functions. If her designs were working as intended, she had on her wrist the most sophisticated, fastest and most powerful smart product on the market and it beat its competitors with an enormous margin.

-If I decide to start electronics company and start selling these, without the magic part, Remind me to cut back on its capabilities a little, or Jenny would be angry at me again.-

And now that Penny wasted hours researching a way she could stop wasting 5 to 10 minutes every day changing clothes and had an inventory with 20 slots for clothing sets, she could go back to wondering what to do with her day. That is… until she remembered she hadn’t really pulled any good pranks on the Demon Lord and Hero lately, so she got her tools and dimension traveled to Play World.

Once at the DLC, she shapeshifted into a generic demon and started moving around the castle and more specifically she went through every door and cast magic at every single one of them. Then she found a close by water source and did some magic there as well. Teleported a number of items from Minecraft and cast enchantment on them and when she was done she dimension traveled home and worked a little more on her secret project.

As the technology acquired increase in number and range, so did the plans included in the secret project. Right now she was designing next generation air and water filters that could deal with the heaviest pollutants in the world. She had the work of many people to improve on and the latest studies in graphene filtration were a promising start. Later she could maybe even steal the water purifiers from Monster Factory and some other of their blueprints. If she ever found out how many people knew about that world.

The next few days Penny also went around establishing a new company, transferring money and purchasing a few spend mines, forging ground surveys that showed new ore deposits close by and generally trying to explain how she got her components so cheap. Now she could construct a conveyor that would transport metals and ores from tablets and computers at the end of the mine and everyone would think she got her raw materials from here. She could even sell some raw ores on the market for a few extra millions in her bank account.

Now that she didn’t have to worry about money and had a supply of raw materials, she could start thinking about starting new companies and expanding the ones she had. She needed to establish a game studio, because she didn’t want her toy company to be responsible for toys and game software. She also had at some point to establish an electronics company if she wanted to present her computer and robotic technology as something more than toys. Then there was Valentina’s side of things. She had to increase the number of products she could manufacture and maybe create and outfit a security company or a mercenary group. She had the technology to train them without a lot of risk, why shouldn’t she take advantage of that and make her own private army? So much work to do, so little of her to do it. Maybe it was time to create some LMDs and program the tasks in them, then create fake identities for them and create a consortium that she controlled from the shadows.

-Since when did I start the supervillain path in life? Next thing you know I would laugh maniacally while sharing my plan for world conquest.-

Of course Penny hadn’t realized that she already could check most of the boxes in the super villainous megalomaniacal world conqueror. She had technology way ahead of its time, a maniacal laughter she had used once or twice, even if as a joke, had a secret lab… err had a not secret lab with top secret research in it? She had a disguise suit for when she perpetrates evil schemes, even if they are just pranks or stealing and she had… wait, wait that is a spoiler. Okay, maybe she wasn’t supervillain, but the other two still had merit.

Back on Play world we come to the DLC and approach the Demon Lord’s room. The leader of the demons had just finished his latest plan to strengthen the army and attack a human settlement. He stood up from his desk and was going to make an announcement, when suddenly after going through his door a bucket filled with water fell on his head. The Demon Lord was furious. Who would dare play a prank on him and more importantly who could? He hurried his steps to the throne room, but after exiting through every door another bucket of water fell on him, again and again. When he arrived at the throne room and looked at his subordinates, his anger immediately evaporated. Every single one of them was wet and dripping from head to toe. What was the meaning of this?

-Your most demonic majesty, Demon Lord, every door in the castle has been booby trapped and every time someone walks through a doorway a bucket filled with water falls on them. Even when you exit through already triggered door, a bucket waits for you on the other side. It is as if they teleport and just wait for someone to walk under them to fall on them. We don’t even know from where all the water is coming from, but if this continues the castle will be flooded in no time.-

And that is how the curse on the Demon Lord Castle came to be and forced this and several following Demons Lords to either come to terms and bear or leave the place and construct a new Demon Lord Castle from where to plot and scheme the war with the hero and the humans.
