The morning after pulling her prank, Penny was done with her morning routines and was working in her lab, while also searching the internet for her hover boards. After all no typical teenager would be found without access to a smartphone with a camera so there should be Tweeter, Instagram or Facebook posts about her product from some of the teens in the skate parks. As it turned out, there were a couple of them, but most reply’s thought that it was either fake or a promotion for one of the magnetic levitation boards from the past 2-3 years. It seemed she had to wait a little longer for news about her product to spread. Meanwhile she was working with the new super conductors to design a new electric motor for her electric jet engine. She decided not to work up a magnetic or ion levitation methods just yet. On the other hand, she could use the smaller, more powerful motors to construct wheels for roller blades and create something imitating an Air Trek. She did from time to time also pay attention to a monitor feeding her information of what the NSA agent was seeing and gave suggestions to her AIs for what to write to imitate a system integration with Earth.

For the next few hours she worked, revised and tested her designs while paying attention to the news and the feeds from the lenses. During that time she found something that made her smile. They still had no suspects, but for now their systems were clean.

Penny blinked a couple of times trying to process the things just said by her assistant. She was right of course. Penny hadn’t dwelled much on the issues with running a store, a company or research laboratory before she had decided to do it, but now she had to think about these things and solve them. She had to hire people to run her company for toys and her shop. They were hers, but she much preferred to tinker in the lab and just watch the money accumulate in her accounts. She would still have her AIs monitor the business and report discrepancies, she didn’t want to find herself in jail for something she didn’t do, but otherwise she could be free to invent all she wanted if she delegated, so it was time for a hiring spree. First on the list was Jenny.

-Hey, Jenny, hello. How are you? You want to work with me?-

-Where did that come from all of a sudden? And yes, I am doing fine, thank you for asking. But seriously what prompted the sudden question?-

-Oh. You know, I was working on a project or two, minding my business and then there was a reminder that tomorrow the stuff for my shop will arrive and that got me thinking. I am most of the time stuck in my lab and don’t have time to run my business, so I thought to hire some people to run it for me, and then the first person that came to my mind to help me in this endeavor was you. So, do you want to work with me to hire a bunch of people I don’t know to run my business?-

-Hah, you want to start with people you know you can trust before starting to hire with ads. I know one or two people, who are in a search of a job, from college. You sure you need more than one person for your shop?-

-Shop? Oh, no. I need personnel for the toy company. I had a bit of a breakthrough while studying for one of my PhD’s and made a toy with my research. Then I was studying for another 2 of my PhDs and made more breakthroughs and then constructed 2 types of hover boards, not talking about the scooter kind, but the hovering on air kind and now I don’t know how to market them. I like to tinker, but not to deal with consequences. And moving a product to market is a consequence.-

-You just went and made a hover board like it is nothing, when companies are researching the devises for years and are still years from commercial market? You also sound so nonchalant, as if it isn’t hard for you to come up with tech.-

-Don’t be silly, Jenny. Of course it is hard for me to come up with tech. I couldn’t decide if I wanted to make a sonic, electric jet or magnetic hover board, so I made the first two and decided to leave the magnetics to other companies.-

-Penny, I didn’t mean hard deciding what to make, I meant hard thinking how to make things. Next you will tell me you can make a 3D printer that can print precision parts.-

-You know, that sounds like a great idea. I will get to that after my current project. So back on topic. I need you as COO, next I need a CFO, CMO, sales manager and maybe a lawyer, but you can’t have it all. Thank you and good luck.-

Jenny was silent on the other side of the line, so Penny hung the call and came back to her work. She needed just a few finishing touches to be ready for production. Then she had an idea that would ensure the future of her company for at least a few years.

-A.I.C.A. get the AIs to go over the designs and downgrade them. I need them to take the difference between what I have and what is on the market and split it in 5. The first design will have to be a little better than the best on the marked and then every year after that we will publish the following designs.-

-Penny, the hover board doesn’t have an analog on the marked and you already have samples that are out there and the robot toys are already in production. Also the TBRES is several generations ahead of all other armor systems. This tactic can only be implemented in future products.-

Penny was again silenced by A.I.C.A.’s words. Oh well, what was done was done. She would downgrade the electric jet engine so it wouldn’t be able to fly too high and make the new 3D printer project only a couple of generations better than the current ones. She wasn’t planning to create a printer like the one from Big Hero 6 or the fabricator, but it should be able to print precise parts for machines and clothes from her formulas. Still, the conversation with Jenny made her think a little about the rate at which she created new tech. She had to slow down her pace or she would become too suspicious to the science community. Maybe it was time to go on a vacation in some slow relaxing game.

-You are right, I will modify the future projects and leave the published ones like they are. There is also something else I have been thinking about that needs addressing. I have been cooped up in the lab for far too long and haven’t tested the extent of my powers. There are realms out there that I could explore and I have been stuck in the same place for too long. A.I.C.A. I am in the mood for some strange delicacies, so research media with alien or fantasy delicacies that are delicious. Then we are bugging Play World with dimensional listening devices so we will know when there is action on the horizon. And then we are pranking the world. I still don’t know how, but we will do it. We will announce our presence to the world. MUAHAHAHAHA HA ‘cough’ cough’-

-Penny, I would recommend you avoid the evil laughter, because it taxes your throat. If you intend to pursue it in the future, may I recommend adding thunder sound effects and possibly lightning in the background?-

-‘cough’ Yes, you may recommend them and I think I will construct them for next time. Maybe some background music too. My debut must be glorious.-

For the rest of the day Penny finished her project and printed listening devises and micro cameras that she then enchanted to transmit a signal through the dimensions to her and also select invisibility to make them that much harder to find. In fact, halfway through the process she decided to make a few more batches so she could bug the major agencies in the world. It would take her what, two weeks? Max. If you didn’t know her so well you would totally assume she was taking the super villain route. The next day Penny dimension traveled to Play World and started by bugging the Hero’s hangouts and the human’s castle. She carefully placed her cameras and listening devices so they had maximum coverage in every room that information flows. Next she did the same with the demon lord’s castle and then called it a night. She deserved a good night’s rest.

The next few days were not very colorful. Penny traveled to a few fictional worlds, like Haiyore! Nyarko-san, Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, Show by Rock!!, Paperinik New Adventures, Doctor Who, Farscape, Dragon’s Crown and a couple of others, to try the alien and fantasy delicacies that are delicious to humans. As it turned out, she also enjoyed most of the recommended dishes. She also did a few more experiments to confirm the limits of dimensional travel. First she took an item and dimension traveled with it close to the end of Big Hero 6 then left it there and got back. She rewound to a few minutes previously and dimension traveled again into the movie then teleported to the same spot she left the item and waited. Nothing happened. She traveled back and watched the DVD and found herself in the background of the movie, but that was it. She tried to imagine the scene, but with the item in front of her, but she couldn’t dimension travel to there. The item was lost in a parallel reality. Next she marked another item and repeated the same experiment. This time, using the marker as a guide, she could travel to the parallel reality and retrieve it without a problem. ”Note to self: if you travel with companions in the future, always mark them or they can be lost in another dimension without a way back.” In the next experiment, Penny tried to dimension travel to a place she could see herself in the movie and she couldn’t do it. It seemed there was no chance to see two Pennies in the same place. The next experiment turned up interesting results. It seemed that MODs to a game were considered a new dimension entirely. Penny couldn’t travel to a MOD that was less known even if the game had 5 million users. It seems the difference with cheats was that they were imbedded into the fabric of the dimension, while MODs created a new dimension entirely. Penny also decided to test for the first time the functionality of the light saber and see if she could replicate it. She couldn’t. The light saber was a fusion of technology and magic and she didn’t know the spells needed to replicate the device.

-So when Jedi and Sith talk about the force, they are discussing magical power. That is also the reason the sabers can control the length of the blade and are solid instead of just plasma. But our realm doesn’t have magic, so how is it working in it? My enchantments come from my magic, so they work everywhere, but how does the lightsaber function here? Unless… we also have magic but have forgotten how to tap into it? I will have to research ancient and modern spells and Wiccan rituals. Maybe with access to magic power I can make them work. I just can’t earn myself a break, can I?-
