Of course the difference in strength was too great, and even if his armor was sagging, he simply activated the absorption skill to continue the carnage. He quickly got rid of all the obstacles and got to the leader.

Sam swung his sword at the leader. While watching crazy speed of Sam, leader stopped trying to escape and tried to block the blow with his own sword.

Sam continued to cut everyone around until the rest fled, then he went to the chief's corpse and wanted to take his sword in his left hand, but felt rejected.
