"he's awake, senior Jianhong Lin is awake." Opening his eyes, Lin heard Sun shouting next to his ear then started licking his cheek and neck with his tongue, it felt like getting his skin rubbed by sandpaper.

First thing Lin noticed was that this little idiot was saying his true name, second he couldn't remember what happened after he finally succeeded in freeing himself from the last area of the trial, all he could remember was the feeling of suddenly being free from the suppression and getting his body hurled towards the ceiling of the tunnel before hitting something and fainting, whatever he hit was tough as nails and Lin felt like his neck is going to break from the impact.

'buddy, did you forget about our little agreement?, Call me buddy so that you wouldn't get confused between the names Ming and Lin!' Lin sent Sun with a soul link technique while giving him a knowing look.

'it was senior Kai who told me not to lie because this man will know if I did.' Sun nudged Lin with his muzzle before he continued to sandpaper the rest of his exposed skin.

Hearing that, Lin had nothing more to say since it was Kai's orders and not Sun acting on his own, spreading his soul sense like usual first thing once he wakes up, Lin was satisfied with the recovery of his soul force which reached the fifty kilometers radius and was one fifth of it's maximum range according to his last estimations, who knows if it increased more than that.

"Hoot." Frostine lowered her head to stare at Lin's golden pupils after standing on his chest, as always her hypnotizing eyes made Lin admire their beauty yet this time he saw worry in them for his sake and he raised his arms to hug her and Sun to him tightly feeling gratified for his beast companion's care.

"I'm alright guys, did I make you worry for me?" Getting up, Lin asked and saw Sun try to free himself out of embarrassment and Frostine snuggling deeper in his embrace.

"Yes, now let go buddy, I'm no longer a little cub I have cubs of my own you know." Sun grumbled weakly while trying to wiggle himself free.

"You're still like my little brother Lao to me, even if your cub had cubs of their own and their cubs had even more cubs." Smirking while scratching Sun's scaly skin underneath the thick layer of fur, Lin kissed his furry cheek and let him go after telling him this little information which Sun already knows by heart.

"Fix up the whiskers you ruined then, you always say fix what you broke. Kekekeke" Sun like a spoilt kitten enjoyed the gesture from Lin then brought his cheek closer for Lin to fix his whiskers.

Lin was amused by Sun's good mood and did what he was asked then poured his love to Frostine instead and she was enjoying every ounce of getting pampered by her new friend, Lin was in a large and spacious room with elegant decorations on the ceiling corners and an amazing chandelier was hanging from the center of the dome in the ceiling and brightening the room with the crystals decorating it, on it's own this chandelier was a masterpiece and the contrast between it's delicate details and the scene of the dome which had different pictures of beasts and men at war with one another was a unique contrast of beauty.

The bed he was on was large enough to accomodate a dozen people sleeping together comfortably, the mattress was soft and bouncy yet not fragile enough to make his body sink into it and the fabric for the sheets and the stuffing of the pillows and the thin curtains around the bed, their style, texture and choice of colors was spot on, the classic furnishings of the room and the contrast between the carpets colors and the marble floor colors was another excellent choice and top craftsmanship.

For a second Lin remembered the civilization he once lived as their hope and sighed again as he happened to see flashbacks of the slaves of the evil race collared like animals or worse than animals in this live, since those like Lantian are respected no differently than humans by cultivators and mortals.

From the open door at the far left of this monster bed, Lin saw another spacious balcony which had clouds moving slowly below the level of it's rails!

To his right was a fireplace with firewood crackling inside it and burning in gorgeous orange-green fire and on both sides was some type of shade plants to add liveliness to this corner, above it was a ten meters painting hanging on the wall, of a man who looked to be in his sixties and was wearing a full-body white armor, hair combed back, medium sized beard neatly trimmed, two piercing and sharp eyes and a dignified yet approachable face with a straight nose, not a single one of his hairs was black as if this man with wheat colored skin was just pulled out from a mountain of flour, but his muscles were amazing for someone this age and his two wide shoulders felt like they could carry a mountain chain each with ease, the man stood with his arms behind his back and from the painting Lin felt like he's someone who wanted to appear as resourceful and deep from his pose, by hiding his hands he might appear helpless and aged but by hiding his hands he can hide his intentions, at least that's what Lin thought.

Ahead of Lin was the door of this spacious room befitting a king or emperor, the door was thirty meters tall and a dozen meters wide with each part of the two pieces being six meters wide and the dark-brown wood that this gate is made of felt sturdy and insanely heavy just by looking at it, yet the carvings on it were all the same classy and beautiful.

After this short inspection of his surrounding, Lin looked at Sun who kept looking around and sniffing as if he's searching for something.

"Sun, where is this place?" Lin pushed the soft and warm bed covers from his body and placed Frostine on his shoulder, then he got down from bed while asking Sun.

He found two comfortable slippers below the bed and wore them, it doesn't matter now since even his clothes were changed in his sleep, he doesn't know what kind of fabric was the turquoise-aquamarine pajamas he's wearing.

Even his long hair which got messed up in the trials was combed and trimmed on the edges, not to mention that he didn't feel any ailments or soreness in his muscles or joints after what he experienced!

Lin knows that he's got better recovering abilities compared to others but it isn't to the degree of waking up to find his soul and body recovered by this much, from what he's feeling, Lin was sure that he's not different by much inside the dantian compared to the status of his physique and soul.

'Gang, what is the situation like on your end?' Lin sent Gang while waiting for Sun to answer.

'Soul world no problem, dantian normal, body no hidden injuries, intent a-okay.' Gang gave a swift report.

"The headquarters of the mercenaries, we're in the top floor. Come take a look at this view, your master is the mightiest person and the lord of this city. Sun ran towards the balcony and crossed it to jump on the rails, walking back and forth he was extremely excited to tell Lin.

"I have a master now huh, why am I the last person to know such an important information?" Smiling ruefully, Lin looked at Frostine as he spoke sarcastically and was amused when she shrugged and had to give her a kiss for her timely gesture.

"I don't know, I swear senior Jianhong was here in the balcony before you wake up, maybe he had to go do something." Sun scratched his head with his cute paws as he looked around from this extremely elevated place.

"My master is called Jianhong and he's the controller and lord of mercenary city, he's wearing white armor then he's a white-sovereign mercenary, anything else I should know buddy?, Just tell me everything you know about him. Such people with extreme cultivations tend to be moody and I don't want to give my master a bad first impression, if he grounded me to stay here or restricted my freedom it will be something extremely unpleasant for us." Lin sat on one of the recliners and took a fruit to eat from the table next to him as he asked Sun to say what he knows, he stared at the sky which seemed very close that he could grasp in his palm and thought of the problem of old Jin Bao's soul oriented ingredients, how is he going to gather them now.

"Your master is called Mu Jianhong, he's a sovereign and leader of the mercenaries in the southern continent, and such a nice guy." Sun stood on his hind-limbs like a teacher and enjoyed this rare opportunity to be the teacher of his buddy, with one paw behind his back Sun regained his sage halo as he spoke while making exaggerated paw gestures, just like how fast he attained this strange state it was gone in a wink and he slyly smirked when he saw Lin glare at him.

"Eihoot." Frostine seemed to sigh while making this faint sound.

"What was that?" Sun's ears twitched slightly and he glared at Frostine who was patting Lin's head with her wing to comfort him.

"Hooting." Frostine gave Sun a side-glance which made his dominating aura freeze and shatter, patting Lin it was like she was telling the boy 'I know what you feel believe me.'

'Frostine, was that really all that master Jianhong said?' Lin asked the white owl instead with a soul link technique, now that he remembered he never tried to communicate with her soul to soul.

'Yes, this dummy kept telling him about where you met Wei and the others, how you stopped Lantian and the beast-wave, how you caught the assassin and made him your subordinate, he even told him about your relationship with Mia and Bo An, your family and friends back in the land of forgetfulness, your scary sister, etc. He kept talking and bragging about your accomplishments for a whole day and night and forgot to ask the man anything, except for asking him his name and where is this place and is he the boss of this city, the rest was bragging and more bragging I swear my ears almost fell off listening to all this bullshit.' Frostine nodded repeatedly while rubbing her face feathers with Lin, finally there's someone else other than idiot who can communicate with her, the rest including Lin couldn't understand her hoot hoot language.

'Heh, thankfully he didn't mention senior Kai.' Lin sent Frostine and she gave Sun a ridiculing look while answering : 'If he dares then senior Kai will skin him alive and feed him his fur, hey Lin teach me something I'm bored.' Frostine was at ease when she said something scary to Lin.

'What do you like to learn?' Lin was surprised by this strange situation, Sun always wanted action and would be enduring the boredom if Lin tried to teach him tactical approach or retreat and things like that.

'ice and frost are the things I like the best, but I don't mind learning something new for a change.' Frostine's eyes lit up in curiosity when Lin gave her the freedom of choice for the topic, after being silent for a second she flapped her wings to cause snow to spread around them.

'it is always easier to learn the things you love, let it be a lesson about the properties of ice and the difference between the various states of the element of water. "Hooting." Slyly Frostine shrugged Sun's question and closed her eyes to enjoy mind-reading all that exciting information.

Raising the fruit which he stopped from eating when Sun gave him the silly answer, Lin opened his mouth and took a bite.

"Eh!, That's no fruit, this is a freaking spirit energy bomb. Who can eat that?" Lin felt his stomach getting bloated as the energy from the fruit spread in his body, returning the unfinished part of the fruit in his hand to the plate, Lin crossed his legs and focused on stopping this stomachache.

"Kekeke, murrr buddy how do you like the delicacies of a sovereign?" Sun seemed to like the sight of Lin sweating from everywhere as he tried to digest the insane amount of energy which entered his body from a single bite of this strange fruit.

"Such a greedy and impatient disciple you are!, How could you start your breakfast without me?" The city lord of mercenary city suddenly appeared next to Lin and placed his large hand on Lin's back to guide this excessive amount of spirit energy gently towards his dantian, the rest was distributed on the inner organs, muscles then the skeleton and finally the remaining was pushed out towards the skin.

Raising his head up to look at his master who just arrived at the exact moment Lin needed his assistance, Lin got reminded of the large fellow called boss back in the village when he looked at Mu Jianhong's body.

"Lin has seen master Jianhong." Wiping the sweat from his forehead in his sleeve, Lin got to his feet and gave the man his greetings.

A disciple should kneel and kowtow to his master when they meet for the first time, these were the traditions of this world from what he learned, and since Kai never mentioned anything about what Lin should do and since the raccoon didn't stop Sun from divulging the complete and detailed history and background of Lin, he took it as Kai's assent for Lin taking this man as his master.

Kneeling on both knees and kowtowing thrice, Lin was forced to stand by the silent sovereign who kept appreciating him with his eyes, yet he couldn't stop himself from smiling and Lin remembered a description of such smiling elders.

"Just like I told you senior Jianhong, Lin wouldn't mind being your disciple." Sun spread his cute wings and flew to stand on Lin's shoulder as he spoke, smirking devilishly to show his cute canines the tiger had a triumphant look in his eyes.

"En, your prediction was spot on little Sun, tell me what do you want to eat in your next meal?" Smiling genially, Mu Jianhong patted both Lin and Sun's heads.

Lin sighed inwardly because this gluttonous little tiger just seemed to sell him for a meal!, 'What da fuck Sun' Lin wanted to shout at his buddy but thankfully he has enough self-control to hold himself back.

"Some meat full of burning fire energy, I can't wait to surpass that arrogant Fang Bo and press him below my paws to smear his face in the mud. Murrr." Sun spoke and Jianhong nodded with appreciation.

"What about you little Lin? Is there anything you would like in specific?" Looking at Lin his newest and final disciple, Mu Jianhong raised him up by the armpits as if he's his grandson and the elder enjoyed the feeling of having a child to join him for a change.

"I'm not picky or choosy with what I eat master, as long as it is filling my stomach then anything is fine." Lin politely spoke and his answer seemed to make Mu Jianhong even more pleased and happy.

"Hahahahaha, great, excellent." The elder in white armor laughed uproariously as he twirled around with Lin in his hands when he felt the genuineness of his answer, his laughter thunderously shook the foundations of the white tower they're on it's summit and mercenary city.

Everyone inside the tower stopped what they were doing when they heard the laughing sovereign Jianhong and looked upwards in a daze, the situation was similar in every street or alley of the city, people would be stunned by the strange situation and look towards the tower of mercenaries in confusion with a single question in their heads.

Outside the city walls of mercenary city, sky queen Hongtian saw Lin pass the trial and the annoying old man grab him and take him away.

She kept herself hidden but the sorts of this geezer were not easily tricked by her methods, in that she was a hundred percent sure that he knows that she's following the boy, yet she didn't reveal herself and waited for the person who played the devil cultivator to reveal himself and take the brat away, however, after a day and night the city was calm and nothing happened!

Then she heard the laughter of old geezer Jianhong and saw him treating the boy as if he is his own grandson from where she hid herself.

She didn't want the boy to get another dao protector in addition to the mysterious fellow, if that happened then her chances of getting her hands on that origin symbol or getting a chance to study it would lessen to almost none.

After all this geezer wasn't a foe she can face seriously without a firm will to put her life on the line, even when she do that, Hongtian was only ten percent assured of her win and that win would be with her critically wounded and hanging on to life by a thread.

As for the mysterious person who helped the boy against the devil cultivator?, Hongtian doesn't feel like she has the slightest chance to go against him, but she has a valuable piece of information on him, he is a space cultivator with formidable attainments, the only figure she knows who could do the same was a member of the dragon clan who likes to roam the world.

From the balcony of the tower, Mu Jianhong had stopped his small conversation with Lin and his interesting pet tiger as they ate their breakfast once Hongtian revealed herself, smiling widely he was looking towards her and once she greeted him he gave his last disciple a grin and took him to meet her after saying something.

"Little Tian what a wonderful surprise, let me introduce you to my new and last disciple. Lin, son of Tai the mighty and Tian the beauty, go on Lin'er, pay your respect to her majesty sky queen. That's one of the ten kings and queens of the beast mountains territory our dear neighbours to the south." Jianhong alongside the boy which she has been watching in secret for a while now were a hundred meters away from her in a blink of an eye, pushing the boy gently ahead of him, Jianhong told him to speak and Lin wasn't mesmerized by her beauty like brats his age and kept looking at her red pupils with his golden ones directly.

"Pleasure meeting you your majesty, this Lin has seen a lot of grades and degrees of beauty yet yours has outshone daylight itself, may the goddess of mercy soothe the aching hearts of those who got their hearts captured after seeing such angelic complexion. I can only thank my fortune for being just a kid and feel sorry for the one who visited me once in my dreams, I thought she was the prettiest creature who could ever exist yet you just shattered that thought to nothing just by gracing me with your presence." Lin cupped his fists and bowed politely while saying his compliment, even Mu Jianhong was stunned by the eloquence Lin had and Hongtian looked at old Mu as if he's the one who told Lin to say that.

However, both she and Lin felt heat from the area their origin symbols are on their bodies, then the symbols revealed themselves beyond her or his control.

"Such a glip-tongued disciple you have there old Mu, you sure he didn't veer away from script?" Hongtian gave the golden wings symbol on Lin's right hand a quick glance before half smirking which caused Lin to sigh inwardly at her unequaled beauty, then she looked at Lin's master and seemed to ridicule him.

"Hahahaha, script or not, don't deny you liked it if you did, that's the most important thing." Jianhong laughed while ruffling Lin's hair with his hand gently, he was admiring this boy's character by the second.

"I want your disciple, lend him to me." Pouting her lips slightly at the shamelessness of this man, Hongtian pointed at Lin and straightforwardly spoke the reason of her visit.

"Because of this huh!" Lin's master caught and raised his right wrist towards Hongtian and smirked slyly.

"It has no use for humans, let me study it and your people will receive less harassment inside my territory and the trade lines on pearl road will see only peacefulness, however, the bandits has to be handled by your people." Hongtian spoke her terms and looked calmly at Mu Jianhong.

"No, my precious Lin'er is so fragile and young, maybe in a few years when he's matured properly and passes his growth sprout you two can sort this issue in private." Squatting next to Lin and hugging him to his chest after circling his shoulder, Mu Jianhong spoke with a smile as if Hongtian was eager to be reunited with her loved one which is Lin.

Frowning slightly, the sight of her expressions was breathtaking no matter what slight change it was, Lin felt like Hongtian was inches away from attacking them because his master was really making it hard for her.

"Then you better be ready to lose each and every member of your mercenaries in my territories from this moment on." The haughtiness of Hongtian's threat made Lin shudder, this wasn't like Ning Xue's empty threats at all, each of this red head's words were dripping with viciousness.

Mu Jianhong's eyes turned serious when the mood of the conversation turned serious, still, he had no intention of handing this god-sent genius to this sky queen.

If it comes to butting heads he was stubborn enough to stop receiving missions inside the territories of this sky queen Hongtian, beast mountains was very large and besides this redhead brat's territories there was nine other areas on the map belonging to the rest of the ten beastly kings, and the beast emperors territories, the forbidden areas and many more.

He can accept this loss in exchange of finally having the opportunity to brag and show off his own disciple to all these arrogant fellows who pranced like peacocks on his face until he almost turned crazy, now it was his time to snicker as their faces blackened and their livers turned green from envy when they see this unsurpassable genius of his!

Not to mention the secret of his twin sister which Mu Jianhong is planning to follow Lin when he returns home to take her too, his appetite was huge and he was planning on beating the vain self-esteem of these cocky assholes to the mud with these twins by first delivering and introducing Lin as a strike out of the blue, then slaying their confidence for good with the follow-up introduction of his twin sister Lily later.

"My brothers and sisters will back me up on this if I asked them to ban your men from entering our territories, mercenaries were never welcome in the first place, all they do is kill and steal our resources after sneaking in like rats anyway." When Hongtian saw Jianhong silence, she smiled such a charming smile which tugged at Lin's golden heart but he was quick to steady his emotions, she spoke while crossing her arms underneath her chest with a confident tune.

This time Jianhong seemed to struggle inwardly yet he ended up shaking his head to deny the request, but his frosty gaze at Hongtian made Lin feel his skin tingle, only now did Lin experience the surface of cruelness this man has inside him.

"Tch, out of respect I asked politely and came directly to you old man Mu, just so you know if I wanted to do anything to the boy I would've done it long ago, long enough before you even notice him." Hongtian glared at Jianhong and spoke while pointing a finger at Lin.

"Yet you didn't your highness, someone of your status and might wouldn't ask if he can take I do believe. Why?" Lin felt the need to stop these two from fighting, from their exchange he knew that there will be countless casualties just because of him, one refused to hand him protectively and the other wanted to "inspect" his wings symbol.

After standing there in silence for a while he felt closeness to the small, red symbol of wings between Hongtian's eyebrows.

Hearing Lin's question and seeing the honest look in his eyes, Hongtian was in a loss of words for a second there and Mu Jianhong smiled proudly while leaving his disciple speak.

He already decided to refuse Hongtian even if it meant no more missions from his guild within beast mountains, why not let his cute Lin handle such a situation and see how would he deal with someone far out of his league.

His first words made Hongtian at a loss for words already and the situation was getting amusing and funny to watch for Jianhong.

"You dare question me!, Humph, laughable." Looking down at Lin after failing to answer, Hongtian spoke in a threatening and intimidating way while releasing some of her pressuring aura.

Inwardly, she was gritting her teeth because to answer that question, she'll be forced to reveal that mysterious space cultivator, that's why she refused to say anything because both of these two might not be even aware of his existence!

"If I offended you please accept my humble obeisance, all this junior was after is to try and find a peaceful way to give your highness sky queen what she's after while avoiding the bloodshed of innocent people who might've fallen under harm's way because of me, while not crossing any of my master's bottom lines. Do you find it within you to be merciful on someone like me who'll be tormented forever with sleepless nights if I once heard that someone was dead because of me, I can't change my master's decisions but I can try and offer your highness alternative options." The pressure from Hongtian wasn't unbearable for Lin since the trial suppression was way tougher and she seemed to know when to stop because Mu Jianhong wouldn't let her bully his disciple anyway, Lin maintained eye-contact with Hongtian and spoke honestly, when he saw her pupils avoid his slightly he felt encouraged to say more then stopped after giving her his last hint to see if his attempt was working.

If Hongtian asked him to continue then there's a chance for him, if she decided to leave then at least he tried to stop the inevitable.

Tapping her right foot on air as if it was solid ground, Hongtian didn't seem to notice how her body vibrated in many areas and seemed to be in her own world.

Alternating between looking at the smirking old Mu and this brat with annoying calm attitude and frustratingly warm eyes full of honesty, finally Hongtian seemed to surrender because her brothers and sister wouldn't all agree to her suggestion of blocking these cultivators from entering their territories anyway, she was certain that a few would agree but the rest might and might not it was hard to say, yes these thieving humans were plaguing their lands but the little ones under her commands and their little ones would feed on the spirit rich flesh of the ones who falls and grow stronger, even the blood and bones would feed the earth itself to sprout with various types of spirit resources and miraculous medicines according to the environment and laws of the area, it was just how things are working in this world, not to mention the valuable experience the winning beasts would gain from overcoming their foes and coming out on top as the winners which enables them to rise higher and stronger in their daos.

"Tch, speak Lin son of Tai whatever, if I don't like it then I'm out of here and your master wouldn't like what comes next." Again Hongtian nodded but this time she raised an eyebrow while giving Lin a deeper look because she just felt like she lost some ground by agreeing right now.

"Is your kin and subjects happy?" Lin asked directly and Hongtian frowned because this brat just wasn't making sense, what kind of question was that?.

"None of you human's business, you still haven't gave me any of your so-called options yet." Hongtian gave a derisive smile before spitting these words while looking down at Lin again.

"I promise my words will make sense, let me rephrase that question for your highness. I myself have two beast companions and I love them and treats them no different from my flesh and blood siblings, however, unlike me they like to have a territory for their own and likes to administer their might in it and would fight even me if I stayed in it for long but they would like to visit mine every now and then and to visit other areas just for the fun and joy of exploration. Personally I didn't visit a lot of places of the world yet the way I see it, beasts are not welcomed in human territories just like we humans aren't welcome in beast's territories. Am I right your highness?" Lin asked again and noticed how Hongtian's eyes squinted slightly when he asked.

"Apparently because you humans can't be trusted, history is full of incidents to prove it." This time Hongtian's gaze was full of contempt as she spoke.

Hongtian felt a shudder on the lower of her back as she looked at Lin, she felt like this boy has depth to him which she couldn't fathom and for a moment there she felt like he isn't a boy but a titan which can swallow her whole!

"You can outrun Lantian, and can use that long range technique which a high stage tyrant realm beast would be wounded by it, do you think this queen is shameless enough to bring those from the senior generation to be tossed around by you?, That thing about trading too what is in it for me and my people?, The way I see it you would be the only ones profiting from this exchange while my people get to work for you." Hongtian gave Lin a shake of her head and seemed to be refusing his suggestion but she was trying to get more from this deal.

"Your highness, the creator made us all different not because someone is better than the other, he made us different because if we all were the same then there's no point in living and life would lose it's purpose. Each creature is bound to have advantages and disadvantages that's the wisdom of creating us in the first place, by interacting with one another we experience the true and higher meaning of life. I believe I'm not yet knowledgeable to explain each and every race since I'm born less than seven yours ago, but, I can say that we humans has the ability to create and invent better than most. Like I said before, my beast companions like to eat different meat with different taste everytime if possible, I believe that is applicable on your subjects and followers and each and every beast in your territory. If my city can offer them to eat the meat cooked in a different way then their love for new things would be satisfied and their hate for the chef who cooked it would lessen and that might rub on the rest of the humans at least those in my city, all of that is just a simple example of a single category, if some beast has a precious ore or jewel which he can't work it like an experienced craftsman from my city then for a reasonable price he can make that man work for him, that is bound to satisfy some ego momentarily and lessen the hate for my kind a bit, if some beast wants to fight a gladiator from the arena he can fight under the rules he feels suitable for him just to gain experience when fighting a human using spirit tools or different types of spirit energy, these are just some other categories and the sky is the limit if you give it a shot you might be surprised to find humans paying their beast friends a visit or beasts paying their human friends a visit in the future whe just need to diligently work on breaking these mental chains which are shackling this world's inhabitants thinking. Isn't that thought revolutionary and great, we all living together with all our differences yet solving every problem that might occur or surface according to the fair rules. Without looking at the color or shape of the two disputing, we just judge fairly without any racism clouding our sights." Hopefully this will spread one day to be the normal and this chaotic world will cease to go at one another's throat for stupid reasons and impulses, only the useless let their emotions get the best of them, that's what I truly think." This time Lin saw Hongtian's mouth gape slightly and her -oh so perfect- chest rose and fell as she looked at him in disbelief as he spoke.

Mu Jianhong was smiling proudly and his smile couldn't get any more wider than this, his arm around Lin's shoulder tightened and he gave him a kiss on the cheek then stood up and rose the boy to hug him, the elder never had a dao companion or children of his own and his disciples were his kids, yet this one grew up to his liking and from the first day Lin seized and took a large place for his own in Jianhong's heart.

Looking at this girl from the ten kingly beasts, Jianhong was assured that she would miss a great opportunity to carve her name on the history tomes with such a wide font if she refused.

"You make it sound very simple but it isn't easy." Finally Hongtian seemed to agree to Lin's suggestion yet she couldn't see it actually happen.

"Nothing revolutionary is easy your highness sky queen, if that option isn't clear enough, then, we can use the time of your attempts to win over my master this time, as a small trial for the great project and the bigger plans to come. This place isn't suitable for discussing such important matters, after your consent and permission master, I believe it isn't polite from us to keep her highness standing without properly inviting her to our city as our respected guest." Lin nodded to agree to Hongtian's last words, then he politely placed his master in his high place as the person in charge and waited for Mu Jianhong to decide what he should do.

"My sweet Lin'er is such a nice disciple, how could master refuse your request when you're such a polite boy?" Feeling warm inside and the urgent need to care and pamper Lin who gave him his due respect thoughtfully in front of this little brat from the ten beastly kings, hugging Lin who wasn't affected at all despite being in the presence of Hongtian which wasn't easy for some genius of these arrogant fellows in his twenties or older to do, not only was Hongtian strong but beautiful and seductive yet Lin spole long and unhurriedly while keeping his eyes where they should without trying to sneak any peeks which gained him more trust from the woman who was very famous for hating males who lust after her body. "Her majesty sky queen Hongtian has come to visit our mercenary city, every blue armoured individual or higher inside the city is to come in person to welcome her highness. That's an order, those who disobey surrender yourselves to the disciplinary hall or you'll be dealt with personally by this Jianhong. Prepare the conference hall and a feast to welcome our guest, if you shame our guild in front of our guest then you better surrender yourselves to the disciplinary hall as well." Thundering these orders one after the other, Mu Jianhong gave Hongtian a welcoming smile and gestured for her to enter the city with his arm and the other held up Lin close to his chest, honestly the sight of Lin still in his childish pajamas and the elder's large physique could easily be mistaken for a grandfather carrying his dear grandson by a stranger.

Lin felt the city getting hectic and from the area of the tower above the layer of fog, he saw one individual after another fly towards them, they wore blue, purple and white armors.

The majority was in blue armors and their ratio of gender was seven to three in favor of males, the purple armored people were only twenty-three and this time most of them were females, fifteen females and eight men, the white armored people were five and three of them were men and two females.

Yet all of them were obviously confused about this high profile reception from the leader of this city to this member of the ten beastly kings, her status was nothing to scoff at, however, Hongtian wasn't one of the emperors and not an ally of their guild in fact she could be called an enemy.

"Greetings Master, welcome to our mercenary city your highness sky queen." One of the five in white armors gave Lin which was still hugged by Mu Jianhong's arm a fleeting glance full of confusions before bowing deeply and reverently to Mu Jianhong, then raising his waist and cupping his fist to Hongtian while nodding slightly then standing to the side next to Mu Jianhong and looking at Lin.

He had simple looks and very dark skin which almost glowed in purple color under the sun, his hair braided in a unique hairstyle and he wasn't bulky man like Jianhong but symmetrical in shape, seeing the man look at him with curious eyes Lin winked at him and this sovereign smiled to show his teeth, obviously amused by Lin's action.

"Greetings Master, welcome to our city your highness sky queen." This time it was another white armored person who bowed towards Jianhong but it was a lady which looked middle-aged yet Lin doubted if her apparent age was correct, she was beautiful but in Hongtian's presence she was fairly outshone and could be called mediocre at best.

Like the dark skinned man she stood next to Jianhong to the right in line and her curious eyes kept looking at Lin, this boy was a mystery in this situation and stuck out like a sore thumb.

The other three sovereigns only cupped their fists towards Mu Jianhong and called him senior Mu respectfully before giving this sky queen their greetings, they didn't stand next to the two disciples of this city lord and stood ahead facing Lin, Mu Jianhong and the two sovereigns.

Then it was the turn of the purple armored people to give their respects, four men and eight women called Mu Jianhong master while bowing deeply and stood next to the two sovereigns on Lin's side after slightly bowing out to Hongtian who silently accepted the greetings, all of them apparently are Lin's older senior disciples!

The rest of the emperors in purple kneeled down on a single knee while greeting Lin's master as sovereign Jianhong, then they would get up and cup their fists and slightly bow while cupping their fists and greet Hongtian then stand on the other side facing Lin and looking in the majority at Lin!

'Just who is the brat?' was the common thought roaming in their heads at this moment.

Finally the turn was on the couple hundred kings in blue, again more than half of them turned out to be Mu Jianhong's disciples!

'Just how large is his appetite for disciples exactly?' Lin thought as he watched these guys bow only then stand on his side while the rest of the blue armored kings kneeled on a single knee then bowed a bit deeper than emperors when greeting sky queen Hongtian before standing on the same level as Lin's line and facing Lin's direction.

"My mercenary city and guild welcome you your highness, please this way." Mu Jianhong saw that the two sides were in order and such an entourage was giving sufficient respect for his guest, he shifted Lin from the right arm to the left and gestured with his right hand towards mercenary guild's tower invitingly and walked next to Hongtian towards the conference hall.

The rest of the two collumns followed behind orderly pair by pair with the sovereigns ahead followed by emperors then kings, the majority of males who held their eyes from straying when facing Hongtian, took a few hidden glances at her back view when the chance was ripe.

The whole city was a stir with conversations about this unexpected visit from one of the ten kingly beasts, countless eyes were directed towards mercenaries tower where the conference hall is, the people responsible for serving the food in the banquet were lords in cyan armors.

At the center table Mu Jianhong was sitting next to Hongtian in the center of the hall at the highest place of honor with Lin being on his left and Hongtian on the right, left of Lin at a forty-five degree's angle was the table where the five white-sovereigns sat just a step below Lin's table, to their left was the rest of the emperors at another table placed in a curve and a couple steps lower then the rest of the couple hundred blue-kings to complete the circle.

All eyes were on either Lin or Hongtian, those looking at Lin were mostly his senior disciples or curious females intrigued by his looks and strange eye color or gossip-loving individuals formulating their deductions about his relation to sovereign Jianhong, while the majority of those looking discreetly at sky queen Hongtian were males admiring her charm while inwardly sighing when comparing her to the women they tasted.

Cyan armored people were looking at their feet while serving the tables, yet none was courageous enough to start eating from the gathering.

"A toast for the sky queen, on her honor we gather to welcome her as a guest, may her beauty, wisdom and cultivation reach the pinnacle..... Everyone, please." Nodding once a cyan-warlord mercenary arrived in front of their table and kneeled on a single knee then cupped his fists, Mu Jianhong gestured for him to leave and the man took the cyan armored lords to leave the hall and close the gigantic doors of the conference hall behind them silently, once these weakling lords left, Mu Jianhong gestured again and a formation covered the walls of the hall then he stood up and raised a golden goblet that was covered in colorful gems and full of fragrant red wine, patting Lin's shoulder he gestured for him to speak for him.

Lin looked at his master and saw the encouraging eyes urging him to be brave, raising an eyebrow he smiled because he wasn't afraid but to speak to a crowd which sees him as a brat smelling fresh of breast milk would affect his master's and his senior disciples image, shrugging he spoke loudly and formally befitting such an occasion and augmented his voice with a fusion of all the energies he can use.

These words were heavy and rattled the strong souls of this gathering, they felt a breath of fire from them burning at their racing hearts and before they controlled their unstable hearts they saw sovereign Jianhong empty his chalice all at once with Hongtian who gave a faint smile before doing the same as Mu Jianhong and boldly emptying her's.

The combination of Lin's words and Hongtian's smile affected a few mercenaries, when they wanted to drink, some of them spilled some wine on their armors and a few kings failed to grip their glass of wine and their fingertips pushed the glass and drenched the table wood, those few hurried to grab another glass and drink while avoiding to look straight at Hongtian.

Still, the majority were glaring at Lin who started this farce but the boy was eating peacefully and sovereign Jianhong would laugh when Lin told him that he's already being frowned upon by the audience.

"Everyone, I believe I awe all of you an explanation. Certainly you're wondering two questions right now, who and why, right!" Mu Jianhong patted Lin's back gently once he saw the gathering being restless, he spoke and saw everyone nod except for Hongtian who silently ate bits and pieces from the dishes and drowned it with wine. Smiling widely, Mu Jianhong continued : "This is my, Mu Jianhong's final and closed door disciple, Tai Lin, go on Lin, give your respect to your senior brothers and sisters, everyone here is your senior and you will be relying on their help and assistance to reach your pinnacle of cultivation." Introducing Lin, Mu Jianhong gestured for Lin to again take the stage.

However, this time, those who frowned upon Lin before from the non-Jianhong disciple faction were surprised by the identity of the brat, while Lin's senior disciples were confused since their master never took a disciple who was below the tyrant realm before ever!

"Tai Lin has seen senior brothers and sisters and the seniors from the guild, please take care of me." Lin cupped his fist and bowed politely towards everyone.

"Congratulations master, I'm sure junior brother Lin would grow up into a splendid powerhouse, I'm Zi Yun your first senior disciple." The man with the braids cupped his fist and returned the gesture to Lin by winking his way.

"And here I was wondering if he's master's son, it turned out that he's my junior brother instead. Tch, but I won't lose hope in finding a proper wife for you one day master, you too junior brother Lin should help me convince him to get married. You're always welcome to come over to big sister Mingxia if someone tries to bully you, remember my name well because if you forget Ill pinch your cheeks until they swell ya hear?, Good, I'm your second senior sister Yi Mingxia." The other sovereign realm disciple of Mu Jianhong's clicked her tongue and seemed to be reprimanding her master instead, Lin looked and saw his master ignoring her as if he's used to that attitude from his second disciple Mingxia, smiling he nodded and she gave him a satisfied smile then nodded.

One by one the rest of Lin's senior disciples got acquainted with him and the mood got lighter in the hall as random conversations were exchanged, yet Lin noticed that Hongtian was estranged from these conversations by these mercenaries.

"Seniors, master still hasn't told us the answer to the second question. Why?, Please master, enlighten us." First Lin raised his voice an octave or two then clasped his palms apologetically for interrupting their conversations when he saw them frown at him again, however, when he reminded them they didn't seem displeased with him by much and turned to look at Mu Jianhong who smiled then nodded.

"Why is her majesty sky queen Hongtian visiting us?, Honestly it is to take my cute Lin away, hehehe hold your horses now Mingxia there's more." Mu Jianhong spoke and the crowd listened with rapt attention, when he said the reason Yi Mingxia was up on her feet and looking at Hongtian like a mother hen protecting her chicks, snickering, Jianhong gestured for her to calm down.

"Both of us agreed that seniors should stay away from the matters of juniors, however, the terms of the agreement hasn't been outlined yet. Now, since it is going to be handled by juniors we need a place to settle the dispute, ain't that right?" Jianhong spoke again and the crowd nodded to imply that they're approving this method of juniors deciding the outcome, hearing that it was yet to be determined on what rules they all knew that their gathering has to be for deciding them, and when the sovereign asked them that last question even the slow witted amongst them knew what part are they going to play.

"My Lin wouldn't leave this city unless I'm with him, that being said, the place has to be inside the city. Your suggestions?" Mu Jianhong pushed a plate of food closer to Lin as he spoke, the gaze he gave him was no different from a gentle grandfather.

"The arena of course, the main arena is right next to the tower and has the biggest capacity for an audience." The king who said that was surprised to find some of his friends giving him helpless looks as if saying : 'Idiot, that was a completely needless explanation.'

Still the crowd nodded politely for the sovereign to continue.

"Exactly, the next problem is that this dispute isn't going to be decided in a single fight or day, it will take as long as her majesty sky queen Hongtian decide. Before that term is decided by her in the deal, we need to assure her that the subjects and followers from her territory are given the following, proper accomodations in their stay in our city as long as they're paying the price for it just like any other visitor visiting my city, permission to enter and leave the city freely as long as they didn't commit any crime deserving to be either fined a sum of money or punished by imprisonment or harsher, permission to shop from our stores normally and buy and sell their products for normal and reasonable prices, finally, permission to fight in the arenas with the rules suitable for the one fighting without being forced to fight or included in shady or unfair deals, before any fight to the death agreements between a beast and human there has to be at least three checks over both of the participants from three different seniors from both sides." Mu Jianhong spoke and the people in the gathering were opening their eyes wider in shock, because that felt to them like no different from having their city taken over by the bloody beasts.

"Sovereign Jianhong, where would our people go?, For years now we lost mothers, fathers, sons and daughters, brothers and sisters, how can our people accept this?, I know that it's going to be for a predetermined duration but I'm sure it will be all hell breaking loose when both sides meet in the streets and start exchanging the gifts of insults. No armies of city guards will be able to stop that carnage from happening and restoring order in the city will be an impossible dream, even if we suppressed the masses ourselves, it won't stop them from trying undercover." One of the emperors in purple color armor cupped his fist and spoke frankly, his words resonated with what everyone knew would be the result.

"Indeed, that's why we need to let these two meet where it is useless to throw insults, the same arena which Lin will be having his fights, is going to be the only place these two forces meet, the other times a beast meat a human it will be a relationship between a client and a serving owner of some business, what happens if you found the owner of the business making it difficult for you?, Report him and he'll be changed for another person with enough professionalism and dedication for profit. However, even if it happened, that would have nothing to do with them unless it happened inside the city.

This time, the gathering of the strongest mercenaries couldn't find any difficulty in achieving that plan without loosing control of the citizens of the city, for profit, some merchants would travel the world and deal with the devil and buddha, the beast and barbarian, the elf and dwarf.

Looking at Hongtian, these senior mercenaries mistakenly thought that these terms were decided by her to protect her followers when they enter the city.

Under no circumstances, none stays in the south amongest our guests without working at a hundred percent, make sure to keep a supervision authority and another team to get feedback from the clients of each business regularly to confirm the quality of the service in each establishment." This time Mu Jianhong spoke what Lin sent him and smirked when he saw the crowd nod in agreement, this time they were expecting the treasures and wealth of the territory of Hongtian and didn't mind the small details.

Hongtian gave Lin a look before smiling faintly, the words Jianhong spoke came in the same style the boy spoke to her before and she felt the slight ripple of the weak soul force from the boy just now, if she was slightly further she wouldn't have sensed it at all.

"Master, beside giving them the safety of our city we offer it's services, now we fairly without any hidden troubles I guess. Shouldn't her majesty tell us her terms of the deal, I believe we took more than a step back to show our genuineness." Yi Mingxia was smiling at Hongtian but Lin was sure his second senior sister really wanted to drag her from her perfect red hair and drag her all over the hall with it.

"Your junior brother Lin was the one to give me this leverage and choice, later after my return I will give it some deep thinking before I decide. The ingredients and materials in our stock has to be checked as well, and a list has to be sent for you to estimate prices before you send back the answer, once the prices for the ingredients is agreed upon, and the people responsible for guarding and supervising, collecting the feed backs and the businesses in the southern part of your city is ready to welcome my people. Then you will hear my condition, loud and clear. It was a pleasure joining everyone in this banquet, see you later Lin son of Tai whatever. Be ready to face the juniors of my kind, or they'll smite you and your master and seniors here wouldn't be able to hold me from having you." Knowing that she prolonged her stay in this gathering, Hongtian gave Mingxia a side-glance as if she knew everything that was going on inside her head somehow, then she gave her answer which made Mingxia's eye twitch in the corner much to Hongtian's pleasure, standing from her seat and cupping her fist, she gave a fleeting glance at the gathering without looking at anyone in particular before smiling at Lin charmingly then giving him her threat.

"But I'm still young to be had." Lin puckered his lips and said that to tease this seductress.

"Y-y-you!" Hongtian blushed fiercely from the sudden embarrassing retort from Lin and opened and closed her small lips while glaring at the boy in disbelief.

The senior mercenaries were just like Hongtian, dazed from shock by the bold joke, when they saw Hongtian's smile at the boy and her words which could be understood that way or this way, they envied him.

Yet the boy dared to tease her to her face!

"Keh...... Bffft..... bwahahah, damn it hurts, perfect little brother, that was spot on. Hahahaha....." Yi Mingxia felt her sides almost exploding when she tried to hold it in, not only did Lin's joke vent her anger from having this doll of a bitch act all high and mighty in front of her but also it stole the words from Hongtian's brain and turned her into an idiot from embarrassment, bursting into uproarous laughter Mingxia gave Lin the double thumbs up while falling on her chair because her legs failed her.

Seeing that staying here any second longer would only bring her more embarrassment, Hongtian glared at Lin one last time before storming out from the hall while chewing on her lower lip.

Mu Jianhong had already removed the formation from the hall and the door was wide open before sky queen Hongtian decided to leave, seeing her fly away and out from the city towards the south with an amused expression filling his eyes, he looked down at his last and youngest disciple and did like Mingxia and gave him the thumbs up.

Then the whole conference hall was a cacophony of chants of praise for the boy's joke or laughing, Yi Mingxia jumped next to Lin and the topics for conversation between them were exciting since she despite being very approachable was still a sovereign.

"This meeting is considered done with everyone can go back and do your thing, no need to waste time keeping this old man's company anymore." Mu Jianhong spoke while looking at Lin who clicked with his first two disciples very well.

"No way!"

"Get out of here!"

"I'm not lying senior brother and sister, I'm really not, isn't there instruments and tools to test and confirm bone age?, just bring one and Ill prove it. If you're interested in some betting, then I don't mind cleaning up your treasures and taking them all for my own. Do you dare?" Lin shrugged and slyly smiled then gave the two senior disciples a haughty look intentionally to rile them up.

Mu Jianhong smiled when he saw Lin calmly seek to ensnare his senior disciples in his trap, he ruffled Lin's dark hair and spoke while looking at the gathering which had their eyes brightened when Lin mentioned the thing about gambling.

"Master!, Don't spoil the fun by exposing details it just ruins everything by removing the excitement." Lin slumped his shoulders sighed helplessly.

"Alright then Ill try and observe in silence, just keep it healthy if possible you know what I mean." Mu Jianhong smiled ruefully and crossed his arms then kept quiet after saying that final line.

"So, who is in for some gambling?" Lin rubbed his palms and asked with a smile on his face.

Yi Mingxia snorted before giving Lin her tongue and turned to leave, if her master's warning wasn't enough then she's better go smash her head with tofu.

Zi Yun smirked at his junior brother before patting Lin's shoulder and leaving as well.
