Meanwhile 18 - Green Fingered Pt. 2, Should Have Seen it Coming
James Jameson here again.
So, you know how I was trying to avoid getting involved with my friend Yuta and his whole hero shtick?
Trouble showed up at my door.
2 Years after Yuta left a girl showed up at our village. She looked completely average in every way and started begging on the streets until I took her in.
Why did I do that? Well, my "Analyze" showed me some rather terrifying things about her.
She's the fucking daughter of the demon lord(king?)
How did she end up here? Judging by what I've heard it seems the war with the demons has intensified because Yuta and his party are now strong enough to fight demon generals. So the demon king(lord) probably thought it would be good to ship his daughter of somewhere safe.
I'm assuming that also because she has the title "Favorite Daughter". I'm also going to guess that plan went wrong, seeing her begging on the street.
Very badly actually, shes really not that good at begging. She's got the whole "beauty in distress" thing going for her but honestly that often brings more problems than solutions.
Regardless, knowing about her origins, I decided to take her in as a farmhand.
I've gotta say, its a huge help. Demon's are naturally stronger than humans, so she doesn't get tired from the small tasks I give her.
Though, funny enough, she's so fucking clumsy that it ends up taking her just as long as a normal person, but hey everyone starts somewhere.
She's a real sweetheart, I'll tell you that. Apologies for her mistakes, learns her lesson... absolutely perfect. Works well with the chickens too.

Normally.... normally I wouldn't keep around someone who could potentially lead to some serious long term issues, but she's been doing such a good job...
Fuck, I know whats going on. I'm going to have to do a lot of work I'd rather not do if I want to keep her around.
The war with the demons is only going to end one way and Yuta's family still lives here, so he'll be back someday.
Maybe in a year I'll let her in on some secrets; leave a few skill-books lying around or something.
I might need to start actually training a bit. I'd rather be a farmer, my entire family has been working HARD for this easy living, but I might need to go on the run if things turn sour.
Sigh, what matters is that in the past month Jezebel has been here I've realized she's a keeper.
That's what really matters, that s the real reason my (ancestor) stopped stealing. So he could settle down with his wife.
Life is going to change for me, just a little bit, but we'll manage it.

Prerequisites for Greatness (RWBY)
Jaune always knew that being a hero meant going on adventures, sometimes very far from home. He just hadn't thought he would start so early, or so far. Sadly he wasn't high level enough to learn teleportation, nor did life have an easily accessible mount option. His own two legs and an occasional donkey would have to do. Medieval setting; gamer Jaune. You don't need to know anything about the RWBY universe to read this.

Shades of the Moon
I'm rewriting this story! I have taken down Arc 2 and Arc 3 already to avoid spoiling my new novel. The only reason I'm keeping the first 10 chapters is nostalgia; the writing is awkward and the story is not plotted out properly, but it's here if anyone wants to compare it to the new one. If you'd like to read a more professionally written version of this story, I highly suggest checking out my Synergy. Synopsis version too-many-to-count: “I see,” Kiona said. “But . . . you’re changing once again, aren’t you?” The entity considered her question, lifting a clawed hand towards the night sky. They observed the back of their hand idly, watching the glowing orange veins pulse alongside their pitch-black exoskeleton. The wind picked up right then, and Kiona shivered—just as much from the cold as from the savage grin on the creature's face. “That’s right,” the entity said, clenching their hand slowly into a fist. They let out a quiet laugh, staring defiantly at the Moon as it rose from behind the clouds. “We are shades, yet not exactly. Not like the others. Here, in this world, we've become something more. We are the Shades of the Moon.” There was a heartbeat of silence, during which Kiona joined the entity in their skygazing. The light-green Moon loomed over the city, shining like the entity's eyes. It promised otherworldly knowledge and terrible secrets. It promised progress. It promised change. In that moment, Kiona couldn't have imagined anything more beautiful. “Shades of the Moon, huh?” she said, smiling a bit. It had a nice ring to it.

On Venus and Mars [Vol. 1]
"Most people say their first words when they're one or two years old. The grown-ups would get all excited and they'd tell stories about that day years later. But I said my first word at twelve years old and there was only one person there to hear it. This is the story of us." - EllieCover Artist: @CBMokediFellow Editor: @KylieTraskTW: Harsh language.
