It took quite some time but finally Huang Wen collected 135 points of experience he needed to achieve the next level. As a bonus, he also got two items, one katana and one magic imbued boot. The boot wasn't as good as Baihu's boot, it only gave +1 agility but it was to be expected since Baihu's level also comparably much higher compared to zombies.

Huang Wen decided to take the boot for himself and gave the katana to the girls. He decided to take a shower before returned. It never bothered him before, but since there were girls now, he suddenly conscious of his appearance.

At the same time, the others were finished at making the sign and hang it on the window. It took them quite some time, because they couldn't find paint to write their message. They actually stitched dark colored cloth on the white bed sheet. Xia Yue gathered the needed material and cut it to form letters, while Chen Yao and Zhang Xuan worked together to stitch it on the bed sheet.

They didn't close the door since no zombies dared to venture to their floor and it was easier for Xia Yue who was busy at ransacking other room for needed materials.

Huang Wen was on his way to the bathroom when he saw them inspecting the finished work from the opened door.

"That looks good..", he was really impressed, they did a wonderful work in such a relatively short time.

The girls turned and smiled.

"Nice right? Big sis Zhang and Chen, stitched all those letters while I collect the materials and cut it for them to stitch.", Xia Yue showed it proudly.

Huang Wen nodded his head, "Very nice... very nice..."

"Have you reach another level?", Zhang Xuan asked.

"Yes, just got another level and spent it on my spirit. It's a bit hard since all the zombies trying to avoid me.", he answered.

"Congratulation, so they stayed on the first floor because of you.", Zhang Xuan happily greeted him.

Chen Yao laughed and said, "That means we can sleep peacefully tonight."

"That's true... that's true...", said Xia Yue.

They joked around and for a moment, it felt like the old days were coming back and for Huang Wen it was even better because now he had a girlfriend. All their worries were forgotten. For a moment of time.

"Hmm... Huang Wen, could you wait for a few minutes. We'll cook something for dinner. Okay?", said Zhang Xuan after a while.

"Is there anything I can do to help?", asked Huang Wen.

"Nah, just sit there and wait. It'll be quick. We don't have any fresh ingredients anyway, just some instant noodles and canned pork.", Zhang Xuan answered.

"Actually, I'm on my way to take a shower. Well, call me when you need any help.", said Huang Wen.

"Okay, you go take a shower and we'll have dinner together after that.", said Zhang Xuan.

When Huang Wen returned, the smell of cooked instant noodles welcomed him. He wished they could stay just like this. It wouldn't be too bad, living here just the four of them. He secretly felt guilty because there was part of him who wish they would never find Zhang Xuan's family. Wouldn't that be convenient?

After some rest, Zhang Xuan talked to Huang Wen, "Huang Wen, could you help me to improve my level? Xia Yue and Chen Yao had reached 8 and 9, while I'm still stuck at 4. I want to improve at least my stamina, so I won't be a burden for everyone else tomorrow. I'm thinking. Maybe we could venture a bit far from here? See if we can sense some low level demon, so I can improve in a short time?"

Huang Wen nodded his head, "Sure, its not going to be easy but we could try."

Zhang Xuan turned to Xia Yue and Chen Yao, "Are you okay with this?"

Chen Yao nodded her head, "Sure, it's fine. We will lock the door and take turns to stand guard while you two aren't here."

"Don't go too far though. I would feel much safer if you two here.", said Xia Yue.

"Of course, I won't go too far. If we can't sense any demons, I'll just kill some zombies, even if I just get few levels, it's fine.", answered Zhang Xuan.

"We better go now, if we want to start early tomorrow then we'd better sleep a bit early tonight.", said Huang Wen, already in front of the door with his bastard sword in hand.

"Be careful okay.", Chen Yao and Xia Yue walked with Zhang Xuan till they reached the stair.

Together Zhang Xuan and Huang Wen left the building, as soon as the zombies felt Huang Wen's presence, they avoided him like avoiding fire. Chen Yao and Xia Yue hurriedly returned to their room after they left. They locked the door and pushed a desk and other stuff to block it. They didn't forget to close the window as well.

"You get rest first, I'll take the first watch.", Chen Yao said to Xia Yue.

"En... why don't we wait together?", asked Xia Yue.

"Better get the rest when we had time to rest, don't be a spoiled brat now.", said Chen Yao as she made a mess of Xia Yue's hair jokingly.

Xia Yue sighed and rolled her eyes but obediently tried to sleep, "Aye... aye captain."

Meanwhile, Huang Wen let Zhang Xuan walked about ten meters in front of him, "You'll go first, I'll watch you from behind. That way you could kill some zombies as we look for a low level demon. Whenever your stamina closes to zero, you could come to me."

"How do we find a low level demon? Should I try to sense them, the way we feel their presence when they near to us?", Zhang Xuan asked.

"That's one of the ways and another way to find them, is using your third eyes. If you look at zombies around here, you won't see any thread coming out of them. That's because they're not linked to any demons but when you see zombies who are linked to demon, you will see some kind of thread coming out of their body and flew in the air, toward the demon who is linked to them.", said Huang Wen.

"Oh, I see... Is that how you find the demon who tried to molest us?", Zhang Xuan asked.

Huang Wen nodded, "Yes, at that time I was following the thread that's coming out of zombies in your dormitory."

"Okay, I got it. Please watch my back okay?", Zhang Xuan courageously left Huang Wen behind.

"Sure, I won't let you into any danger. Keep your spiritual eye and sense open, to watch for those demons.", said Huang Wen from behind her.

"Okay", said Zhang Xuan without turning back, she already drew her katana and ready to face any danger.

Most of the zombies around Fuzhou University dormitories didn't have any master now. They walked for more than half kilometer without finding zombies with the invisible link coming out of their body. Zhang Xuan's stamina was pretty low and even with katana she needed to rest every time she killed five to six zombies.

"Sorry... I haven't broken through even a level after we walked this far.", she apologized to Huang Wen when they were having another break.

They were sitting on a bench at a bus stop.

"Don't worry. It's okay. I'm happy to spend time with you alone, just the two of us.", Huang Wen answered with a smile on his face.

Zhang Xuan blushing and said, "Thanks... "

Huang Wen gathered his courage and moved to sit right next to her. With a bit awkwardness he gently put his arm around her. He felt happy and excited when Zhang Xuan leaned on him. They rested like that without many words.

"My stamina is restored...", Zhang Xuan whispered.

"Okay, let's go then...", said Huang Wen and they went further to find zombies with links.

Huang Wen watched Zhang Xuan walked from behind. He was watching her all this time, the way she swayed her hips when she walked. Her silhouette that gave away her curves and reminded him of their time together. Not less attractive was when she fought against zombies and he could see her breast jiggling.

He sighed and wondered to himself, 'Ugh... If I try to approach her, would she... '

The next time they rested, he decided to sit next to her and Zhang Xuan willingly leaned on and rest her body on his. This time his hand rested on her lap. He pretended that it happened naturally but he secretly enjoyed the feeling of having her so close and was wondering if he should ventured a bit further.

"We haven't seen any zombies with link.", suddenly Zhang Xuan spoke.

"Uh... yeah... how much experience you got right now?", Huang Wen asked.

"Five more zombies and I'll break through another level.", said Zhang Xuan secretly smiled.

How could she didn't guess right about what's on his mind? She wiggled and put herself closer to Huang Wen.

"Huang Wen... am I your first girlfriend?", she asked.

"Yes... I never had a girlfriend before."

"Do you really love me?", she asked again.

Without hesitation he answered, "Yes, of course. I love you. I want to be with you all the time."

The way he answered, made her felt warm inside and before she knew it, she asked, "But why? Why not Chen Yao or Xia Yue? Chen Yao's body is better than mine, she was slim and tall and her leg is long. Xia Yue, she's petite and cute."

But the moment she asked that, she regretted it, she lamented to herself, 'Oh... I shouldn't ask that.'

In her heart she answered herself, 'Simply because you're available.'

It took a moment for Huang Wen to answer. Honestly he never thought about it before. It wasn't like her guess was far from the truth. He never had a girlfriend before, simply because he didn't have the guts to ask someone. Of course it wasn't like Zhang Xuan wasn't attractive, but the reason he loved her was because she gave herself to him. If he had to answer honestly, if at that moment it was Chen Yao or Xia Yue who gave themselves to him, he would now love them and not Zhang Xuan.

So it took a moment for him to form an answer, "Why do you say that? You're have great body and you look pretty too. Beside between you, Chen Yao and Xia Yue, you have this charisma. It's like you can make people trust you the moment they met you."

Zhang Xuan of course happy to hear that, but it didn't mean that she didn't notice that moment of hesitation. She was right to regret for asking that question. She decided to bury it deep in her heart though.

"Aren't you just want ... you know...", she shyly asked.

"No... I want that, yes... but... it's more than just that.", he answered.

"Liar...", she laughed, snuggled into his arm and let her breast pressed on his body.

Huang Wen was going to act further, when he sensed something. It was faint, but part of the demons that within him warned him. After all the demons were territorial. Even when Huang Wen himself didn't aware, the demons within him would stir whenever they sensed another demon nearby. It could be said, that their senses when dealing with the existence of another demon were far sharper than his. All of his excitement, curbed down fast and changed into another kind of excitement. He faintly aware, this was Baihu's excitement. It was the fighter in Baihu that stirred.

"Wait... I think I sense a demon....", he whispered.

The tone in his voice, made Zhang Xuan tensed, "Where is it?"

"Hmm.. I think it's coming from that direction.", Huang Wen pointed to south.

"Should we... Is it strong?", Zhang Xuan asked there was a hint of fear in her voice.

"I think not... I don't sense him threatening... It seemed he hasn't noticed us as well. Let's try to move carefully don't try to use your spiritual sense. I was speculating that maybe it could make them notice us, can't say for sure. Just follow me for now.", said Huang Wen to Zhang Xuan.

"Okay...", Zhang Xuan obediently followed Huang Wen.

They walked for about another half kilometers through alleys and hidden behind the shadows. That was when they began to notice that the zombies in that area have an invisible thread coming out of their body. It flew toward a small Chinese restaurant.

Huang Wen whispered, "Use your third eye but don't use your spiritual sense, that was how I sneaked on the demon who tried to molest you from behind."

Zhang Xuan nodded her head, "But how are we going to slip through those zombies?"

Huang Wen scanned their surroundings and then turned to Zhang Xuan, "Hmm... let's take an another route, we could circle this a bit far and arrived at the building behind this one. Through that building, we could approach secretly."

Zhang Xuan thought for a while and then nodded her head, "Okay..."

"Let me carry you. We'll travel faster and you'll save your stamina that way.", Huang Wen offered.

Zhang Xuan hesitated for a while before nodded her head. Carrying Zhang Xuan on his back, Huang Wen used his high agility. He quickly ran to reach the building behind their target.
