2215, Tokyo, Japan.
I had just won one of the biggest tournaments in the world, but I still felt lost, I walked up to the rooftop, thinking about the past and everything I had done to get here.
"How did I get here" This was what was I kept repeating to myself in my head, looking back on everything I had done, all the year I had spent to get to where I am now, all the times when I had wanted something and my parents would get me it even though they knew they couldn't afford it.
My family, once, I took this word for granted.
Always thinking that my family would be there for me, always thinking no matter what I would do they would always be on my side, but I was wrong, although I know my family loved me, they couldn't keep up with me especially because I would never use my own money when I would purchase anything, this all changed when my family became deep in debt.
My father couldn't handle the stress he had from all the loan companies and my mother just left one day, never to return again, I found out later that although her life had become better after she left, she had died shortly after from an illness.
My dad, on the other hand, my dad stayed, but because of the stress his hair had turned white earlier than most people, he would get home from work with a haggard look, no longer looking as healthy as he used to, his face which used to contain a smile, no longer showed any sign of happiness, not long after he had his 45th birthday he died, in truth I could've helped him with the burden, but I was extremely selfish, never listening to others.

After my parents died, I was closed off from the world, not listening to people, not helping people when they needed it, eventually, I became recluse, in the game I was popular for being ice cold, despite the amounts of players that wanted to help me, listen to me, stay with me, I would never accept an offer that didn't have value, later on I found out what it meant to have people who treasured you, unfortunately it had come to the point where it was too late for me, I had discarded everything that I had, the people who treasured me, all for Pandora.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pandora was a dream in 2175, a dream dreamt up by many people who had an idea to create the worlds best game.
Pandora, that was a name that everyone has heard of, but in reality, it was just a game, although it was just a game it was also the game, it was known as the game because it was the first virtual reality game, controlled by AI, to be released, the first of its kind, it was made by Titan, a company known for its research into virtual reality and artificial intelligence, they started out as just a group of people interested in computer software and computer games, but one day, one of them said "What if we made a virtual reality game?" Ever since that day they had focused all they had into making the best type of virtual reality game they could think of, every single point would be jointly discussed making sure that the game was what they dreamed of, they had spent several tens of years creating the game.
While they were making the game, other people in the world were creating new inventions, new types of software and making new discoveries.

One of those people was James Stevens, when he was young he would play games or read novels constantly, massing a huge collection of games and books, but one day he thought "What if I created Artificial Intelligence, then I wouldn't need to do anything because the rich people will all be paying me for the chance to use my creation." Shortly after he had this dream he had registered for MIT and met the soon to be leader of Titan, Mark Anderson. Mark shared the dream he and his group of friends had with James, soon after that, they had all become friends and the dream of making a VR game turned into a VR game run by an AI, the first of its kind.
The game took over 25 years to create, the dream they had was created.
A game, a game run by AI, a game that can create its own updates, a game that is evolving at all times, a game that cannot be controlled by anyone, a new game was created and that game was called:

The Draw Of The Unknown
Mia Campbell is your average introverted loner. Not exactly satisfied with her life doing pretty much nothing of import, she's also not that willing to break out and make a change. Until, without any preamble or warning, she is bestowed with a cryptic system that both grants her magical powers, and also operates on the logic of a card game. Things begin to escalate from there. **This project is a bit of an experiment! For any given chapter, Mia's 'decklist' will be built by the community, over on our Discord server. If you find this amusing, and want to participate in the discussion, as well as find the complete list of cards, you will be able to find the link to the Discord server at the end of each chapter. Discussion in the comments is also encouraged and included as well. Each chapter and/or scenario will be intentional, but the cards used will be chosen by you guys. And the draws made will be done via actual drawing of cards during the writing process, for bonus author street cred.**

8 98A Comprehensive Guide for Alchemy
A guidebook designed for alchemists of every tier to help refine their craft and provide direction. Formed of countless recipes and techniques, developed over the ages by the collective knowledge of our study, this is a definite supplement material for any aspiring alchemist. This discusses not only the recipe itself, giving you instructions for each one, but directs you to things not to do in the recipe. It isn’t uncommon for starting alchemists to unknowingly make a small change, and before they know it… BOOM! For a relatively minor price you too purchase this guidebook and start working towards building up a proper base of knowledge in alchemy. Even those with considerable ability may learn a thing or two from this! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This is purely a guidebook for alchemy in a magical world, and as such contains no story elements. The cultivation (and alchemical) tiers are not at all necessary to understand the book, but exist because in the context of the book it would be important. I'm more than happy to write up any alchemical ideas you've ever had, totally not using this as an excuse to reduce my creative thinking hours... Just PM the idea or post it as a comment in any chapter, with a bit of balancing there's pretty much no idea that can't be done! Hiatus while I focus on shorter stories for competitions

And for the brightest six students of King’s College, even greater opportunities reside in the legendary Class Euripides; a class which she will fight for a seat at with all her wits and will. And to Lumia, the newly Ascended girl whose smile never fades, King’s College is a terrifying puzzle just like everything else in the floating city of Plato, the last bastion of humanity. As the class of 311 commences a grueling year of study and elaborately devious tests, none of the bright-eyed students could have anticipated the weight of expectation laid upon their shoulders. After all, a student’s hopes and dreams mean little in the fight against an ever-collapsing climate. For the Educators of King’s College offer only one lesson to their future students, to the future of a dying world: Burn bright.
