[A Cave made especially for Scan Skill.]
With all the information about the Night Glowing Cave gave from Senior Brother Kong Rong, I'm extremely spirited and couldn't wait for the next morning and get into the cave. Since all my preparation is done, with the ten entrance token, I suppose I could come out after the first few days, and prepare a little more before I enter again.
Just like this, I went over to the Teleportation Gate next morning as I wake up, and along with some items such as water and other little bites. I use the Tablet Stone as activation key to open the gate and enters the moment it's wide opened. I stepped into the wondrous light, and in the next moment, I appeared in a pitch black cave that was dimly illuminated by some barely noticeable lights deeper into the cave.
I kneeled down on one knee and touched the ground. I slowly move my hand around in a circle, and slowly allows it to get's wider as I tried to get a reading on my surrounding. I touched a section which I believed it to be sand patches and slowly walked toward this direction, as I start to dig into the sand, looking for something special.
After blindly searching around for almost an hour, I finally managed to get a hold on ten soybeans sized glowing sand. It was not easy to look, but after you start to get a few in hand, the lights around you begin to grow and became easier to spot those dimly lit Night Glowing Sand within the sand patch.
After spending a total of three hours searching for those Soybeans within the sand, I finally managed to obtain a total of twenty-five Night Glowing Sand, as I start depending on them to illuminate my way while I'm getting closer to the wall of rocks and inspects them. After I checked properly, I start to swing the pickaxe carefully to start my mining. Luckily it was a Fine Grade 10 Brass Pickaxe because the wall of rocks is actually quite sturdy.
My good luck quickly comes as I immediately dig out a stack of five Night Glowing Sands that was wrapped up by the rocks. With this additional illumination, I continue to carefully pick the wall, and at the same time, frequently use the stack of Night Glowing Sand to reveals the surroundings along the way as I mine deeper into the tunnel.
Taking in Senior Brother Kong Rong's words with importance, I'm very cautious as I mine along the wall of rocks, afraid of some opened or corroded caverns that have some Night Glowing Stone within. And since it always comes with a danger, If one did not pay attention to the path he's digging deeper, he will easily be buried within the tunnel with no help coming over at all. In fact, even if there is a help, they might choose not to, as the dead have no need for those items they left in the world.
The mining continues as I quickly increase my stash of Night Glowing Sand from about thirty to fifty very quickly. Out of sudden, a voice came from far away, causing me to be extremely alert. It shouldn't be a human because the voice that came sounds more similar to a water drop. I swing my stash of the Night Glowing Sand and let it illuminates my path as I walked.

Soon, I met a dead end. The tunnel actually leads to a well-covered wall of rock and no puddle of water could be seen along the way. It seems like I headed to a direction. Anyway, since I am here, I will use my time to mine around here. Few more hours later, I finally managed to get twenty more of the Night Glowing Sand and pretty much Illuminates a circle around me by an arms distance. In total, I have seventy Night Glowing Sand currently. That's when I suddenly remembered something. Hey, I got a Scan Skill right? I can try run a scan and see if there is any rare item is hidden behind this rocks.
Scan Skill starts!
Maybe it was due to the environment covered in darkness, the Scan Skill actually seems so flashy as it activates. Like a scanner running through all the surrounding rocks, a gridline activates as it started to become like a Night Vision Map, and it shows me everything around me in lines and curves. The moment all of this become visible to me, it felt as I'm wearing a Geological Scanner to navigate in the darkness.
I looked at the wall, shining dots like an indication that is only visible to my sight, as I swing my pickaxe towards that part and I immediately withdraws a piece of Night Glowing Stone within the hole. I turned to another direction and does the same action once again.
Great! Another Night Glowing Stone. The light provided by the Night Glowing Stone is much brighter than the Night Glowing Sand as I place it to illuminate the tunnel I'm currently within. Although I have the Scan Skill to allow myself to be able to look at my surrounding like a normal person, the vision is actually barely clear, as it seems like gridlines before my eyes.
So with the help of some of the Night Glowing Stone, my surrounding get to brighten up as the light between me and my surroundings started to get at least two arm's length. I continue with the mining, and between the interval, I use the Scan Skill to reveals all the resources around me. With the resources getting revealed without any effort, I begin to felt something is missing.
This felt a little off as I mine for quite a long period. Based on the number of rocks had already been picked, no matter how unlucky I am, a little Night Copper Dust should appear along the way. Did I actually miss some important parts? I turned around and tried to look at the remaining rubbles that I left along the way.
Since there is no power crusher and grinder machine around me, I could not process the rubbles that I left along the way. So, I filled one of the compartment on my pocket with a total of 5,000 units of the rubbles before I return to the end of the tunnel I stopped previously.
Utilizing the Scan Skill as I go along, I finished my first eighteen hours of effort to finally managed to get a hold on 170 Night Glowing Sands and 40 Night Glowing Stones. This two seems slightly easier to get now compared to the Night Glowing Bead nowhere to be found. I guess the difficulties in getting that single bead is pretty high.

Oh, that's right. I remember that I have the Level 5 Quirk from the Scan Skill, should I try to use it? With my mind thinking about the skill, I whisper. "Activate!" the moment the order is received, a flash of brilliant like shined at my surroundings, and immediately, the ground seems to reveal a blinding brilliant light and force me to covers my eye.
I close my eyes slightly and pick that area, After I had dug around three meters deep, a steady flow of Night Glowing Sands and Night Glowing Stones started to comes out from the gap. "I just struck gold!" I shout and look at the sands and stones that flowing out without any sign of stopping. Of course, being somebody that is so poor at the moment, I immediately use both hands to gather all the resources without hesitation, unnoticed that there is a footstep getting closer to my direction.
The abundant amount of sands and stones flowing out from the gap starts to release a brilliant light and attracts a nearby miner to come over to my location. At first, he was thinking about if there may be a stack of Night Glowing Stones is revealed into the open, but never would he imagine that the light actually could brighten the whole part of a tunnel as he goes deeper.
To brighten up part of the tunnel would at least need a few hundreds of Night Glowing Stones! If that's the case, who won't be attracted? This miner is just a tad luckier as he was nearby the moment the resources is flowing out. "Kid, get the hell off from here or I will kill you before I take all of it!" the miner's greed starting to come out as he warns me to stop what I am doing.
I looked at him, barely having a clear view. And the next moment, I speak. "What makes you have the right to covet this resources of mine? I am the one who was lucky to found the veins." I speak without any reserve. "Kid, you have quite the balls to speak back to me. Do you not know who I am?" he immediately speaks as I finished. Judging from his tone, I could feel that he is getting irritated.
"Who the hell are you?" I asked. Of course, It is my first time entering the Cave, who will I actually knows within this cave anyway? But from the reaction of this adult, he got angry immediately and withdraws a dagger from his compartments and point it in my direction. "You actually dare to treat my kindness with insults! Look how I, Lu Fang, slowly slice your flesh one by one until you wished that you will die!"
Holy shit. This man actually wants to kill me because I don't have an idea about who he was? I guess this world is not that sweet after all. Killing monsters are easier perhaps because I have no connection with them, but a human... It would be hard to handle this matter when you are put in a situation to make a difficult choice.
Should I kill him?
