[Can I Get Rich Through Refining?]

After sleeping for unknown hours, I finally wake up and noticed that Han Li actually not returned from the mines yet. What happened? Usually, he should be back by now... Maybe he found a thicker vein and tried to harvest more before he returns. That is what I guessed before I exit the Alleyway and starts to walks toward the Refining Workshop.

The moment I finally reached the place belonged to the Refining Workshop, I was totally stunned with awe, because the building is actually so glorious from the outside. I guess this is why they could actually afford to spend and waste one Black Spirit Crystal for each participant to take the exam because when the talent is found if would bring great profits to them in a long run.

I walked past the entrance gate, and a guard walked over to where I am and stopped me from entering. But instead of feeling that he was looking down on me, I actually felt that this guard is merely doing his job. What a well trained guards that were positioned here by the Refining Workshop. He immediately asked for my name, before we continued.

"This young friend, everyone who wished to enters the area belongs to Refining Workshop requires to register themselves, please tell me your name and the reason you are here." the guard speaks politely although he was greeted with my dirty appearance. Of course, growing up under a good etiquette and manners, I do appreciate such a treatments, as I replied his questions.

"This guard brother, I am Lu Bu, here for the Refining Job offered by Section Leader Zhu." I answered. The moment the guard heard the word Section Leader Zhu, he immediately convinced and ready to escort me to the location where all new workers for the Refining Workshop used to report themselves before they begin. His treatment towards me didn't have a big change, but I could see that he became friendlier, because at the end of the day, everyone belonged under the same Refining Workshop as their workers, so we are part of a big family.

Along with our way, he explained the difference between each location of the Refining Workshop to broaden my knowledge. The South Gate is what it was called, where I met this Guard brother and registered for my entry. It is also the headquarters for the Refining Guards. Then there is the Refining Building, where the materials for Refining and refined materials are open for sales to the public. A total of four floors is built within the Refining Building, and within, at least a thousand of different kinds of material is available to be purchased, depending on one's purchasing power.

Next, is the Refining Central Workshop, which is also where the two of them is heading at the moment. There is a total of five floors is distributed within this building, and without counting Lu Bu within their list, currently there is a total of Ninety-Nine skilled workers within the Central, and all of them are quite talented when it comes to the refining topics.

Lastly, is the Refining Workshop Grand Warehouse. This building is also the management building for the Refining Workshop. Where everyone will have their need to be completed over here. Workers that have no accommodation will be provided with a place to stay, meals, shower, and other basic survival preparation will be provided.

The payroll, the exchanging counter, the contract negotiator and also any other issues will be available to be solved here as well. Added with one of the advantages of being a Refining Workshop workers is to obtain the discounted rate to purchase some strengthening materials, many of us wouldn't even leave the Refining Workshop and go outside.

We quickly reached the Refining Central Workshop, and after I am registered as a worker of the Refining Workshop, the guard, named Mu Ying, bid farewell and left the workshop as he knows that I will be getting busy soon. Then, I entered the workshop only to be introduced again with the sections available in the Refining Central Workshop.

The first section is the Crystal Section where their main task is to refine better quality crystal from the lower grades. The second section is a Substance Section, where similarly task is being conducted within. The final two sections are the Equipment Section and the Treasure Section, where only ten of the experts within the hundred refiners are qualified to undertake the task within.

I am posted in the Crystal Section at first because this is where I am qualified at the first place. After a meeting once again with Section Leader Zhu, who is also one of the three Section Leader who managed this Crystal Section, I am immediately posted to a workstation to begin to work. To begin with, one will have the ticket enough to exchange for a total of 1000 Low Grade 10 Crystals of any colour for refining, but a minimum quota of 90 pieces of refined Medium Grade 10 Crystals will be required to be passed to the Section Leader as their completion of their quota before they are allowed to personally owned the remaining crystals or exchanged for credits for another usage.

Without wasting time, I started to exchange 500 of the Lower Grade 10 Green Physical Crystals and returned to the workstation of mine as I start to refine the crystals. 500 of them could be refined into 100 medium crystals, but the percentage of the refining is slightly too low at the moment. Where at my first ten tries by spending a total of 50 Lower Grade Crystals, only one of them is successfully refined.

But never the less, my experience increased from 18/40 into 30/40 and only ten points more to go before I raise my level once again. Of course, since the meal time had arrived, I followed all the others to the Grand Warehouse to be designated with my own quarters. It was a simple room with a place to sleep, and also a personal cabinet to store all the valuables. After I received the Key that looked like a piece of a coin with a number on it, I walked downstairs and collect the meals prepared for the workers to eat.

The meal is quite sumptuous, but if one would wish to eat an even better set of foods, they would be required to pay through the Credits provided by the Refining Workshop, or through paying with the Black Spirit Crystals. Of course, the premium foods came with some parts of refined ingredients that proven beneficial to people who eat it, so it was worth the price.

Of course, being the poor me at the moment, I could only afford to eat those basic stomach-filling meals for now. Since there are two parts of the meal is provided daily, getting my stomach filled with a place to sleep sounds quite good for now, at least that's how I felt at the moment. Although it was quite unfair to Han Li as I left without a word, hopefully within this few days, I could find a chance to inform him about this news and see what we could do from there.

After the meal, I went back to the Crystal Section within the Refining Central Workshop, and begin with my second batch of ten tries. This time, only one success as well, but at least, my level in the Tenth Grade Crystal Refining increased to Level 4, with the experience at 2/80 and have the success chances of 8% in this level.

Of course, with this new found confidence, I withdraw another 50 of the Crystals to refines them, and finally, I'm able to get two success in ten tries. Up to now, I totally spent a total of 150 Crystals in exchange for a total of 4 Medium Grade 10 Green Physical Crystals. That is 4/30 results at the moment. Of course, this would only get better, the more I am able to hone my skills.

Since I had already refined about 150 Crystals, for now, I should be going to sleep, as there will be more for me to do tomorrow. In this Workshop, I heard some advice from the other seniors that normally, about half of the newcomers always failed to meet their quotas, so they would be required to make a trip towards the Ling Hun Crystal Cave to mine for some crystals to bring back for refining.

Of course, this is only applied to those that failed to met their quota among that two hundred tries. But for long Feng now, his record is currently about 10% success, so which means, by the end of the day, he most probably will end with around 20/200 results, and will be forced to mine crystals daily in the cave to fulfil the quota he required to completes.

I don't believe that I will be forced into that condition in my first month!

I tell myself about this, but of course, in my mind, I am slightly worried, because my level in the Lower Crystal Refining is still quite low to be compared. If that's the case, I will increase my capacity and chances to refine more by making daily trips towards the Ling Hun Crystal Cave without fail. In the meantime, It should be my rest time for now.

I surrendered to today's fatigue, and quickly went back to my room to have a comfortable sleep. When I was sleeping, it was like I'm sent into a realm of software and programmes, where loads of figures and numbers, in a very different sequence, keeps passing through before me, and I am actually totally blank about what is happening.

The next time I know, I wake up feeling quite tired, because that numerical dreams actually cause me to have a slight nightmare. After taking my breakfast provided in the Grand Warehouse, Instead of continues to refine the Crystals, I've decided to make a trip out to the Crystal Cave, and sign out at the South Gate before I head over to the Crystal Cave.

After I reach the cave, it was lucky that there is quite a plenty of tunnels is available, so I picked up a tag and begin to enter the tunnels to start digging. Since I noticed that there is an experience point on the Scan Skill as well, so I've decided to frequently use this skill as well, to increase its capability as I only have this two skills at the moment.

As I reached the end of the tunnel, I begin to use my Scan skill before I start with the Crystal Mining. Aids with the accurate reading of where the crystals are located, my mining task become easier, where I simply obtain around a hundred crystals for less than an hour of mining. If that's the case, I should keep up with the opportunity, but without causing too much attention to the other miners instead.

I chose to be cautious in this matter, because the manager of this Crystal Cave, may notice the differences if there is a few tunnel is dug through quite far compares to the other opened tunnels, because this could mean that there is some skillful miners around that might have the intention to disrupt the economy of the Ling Hun Town.

So, after mining for around five hours, I am pleased to stop with exactly 230 Red Power Crystals and 270 Green Physical Crystals in my hand. After I destroyed the fact that my mining is aimed right at the crystal's position point, I left the tunnel and returns the tag to indicate that the cave is opened to another miner to dig. I returned to the town once again and failed to meet Han Li again. After I bribed a nearly homeless man to let me know did he saw Han Li for this two days, the Homeless man tell me that Han Li recently works quite late before he returns, and yesterday, few hours after I left, Han Li actually returned and rest for a short while before he left once again.

I spent a total of two Black Spirit Crystals on this homeless man and had him to pass Han Li a message, that I recently obtain a job in the Refining Workshop, and ask him to wait for a short while before I could afford to get him a good accommodation. After leaving the message, I went back to the Refining Workshop and checked myself in, then returns to the Refining Central Workshop, and begins with the next 150 of the Crystals within my hand.

After a continuous attempt, I finally success six times in the thirty tries, which is quite a good result for me compared to yesterday. In total, I am holding a total of 14 Medium Grade 10 Green Physical Crystals in hand, with another 76 needed to meet my quota for the month. Since I calculate my daily production from the cave, I confidently return to my room after all the work is done, and withdraws a hundred Red and Green Crystals, and starts to place them to my forehead, one by one.

By the end of the day, before I went to sleep, I noticed the changes in my Status Panel.
