"So, What can I do for you?"
Kojiro takes out some snacks and gives it to Sakura before looking at Zelretch and then says.
"I just want to ask a few questions before I fight Gilgamesh in the dock."
"What is it?"
"Can I just destroy the Greater Grail without fighting Gilgamesh?"
Zelretch shook his head before saying.
"Yes, you can, but remember that Gilgamesh has A Rank in Independent Action. He can survive for a week without any master and the Grail. However, with his Gate of Babylon, Gilgamesh can survive for a long time in the world. Long enough to do Something stupid."
"I see, By do something stupid, you mean…"
"Something that makes Gaia or Alaya irritate. I don't know what it is, but I know it will be bad for this world."
"So, after I defeat Gilgamesh, I can destroy the Greater Grail?"
"Yes, Do you know the location of the Greater Grail?"
"Underneath Ryuudou Temple?"
"Yes, there is a massive cavern underneath Ryuudou Temple. Sadly you must destroy the entire time because the Greater Grail is connected to the temple itself."
"What happened to the temple after I destroyed it?"
"Ahhh, you are worried about the people who live in the temple?"
"Yes"
"Don't worry. I will personally rebuild the temple from the ground up."
"Thank you. It is hurt to see the place you see as you grow up to get destroyed."
"I guess so."
After saying that, the room becomes silent, and the only sound he can hear is Sakura munching the snack, he gives her. A second later, Zelretch suddenly says.
"Hey, Kojiro, how about a little spar?"
"Oh?"
"Yup, This old bone needs some workout. Pure magic no swordplay, no items only magic. You can use your fist, but nothing else."
"Sure"
"Great! Come follow me."
Kojiro and Sakura then follow Zelretch to the lobby once more but instead go to the outside Zelretch go to the left-wing of Clock Tower, where the old man workshop is in the right-wing. He can see many people look at them like a hawk, some of them even following them. After a few seconds of walking, they arrive at a massive door. When Zelretch opens it, he can see an enormous room with six pillars supporting the roof. Kojiro knows this room. This is the room where Rin Tohsaka and Luviagelita Edelfelt have a spar. Zelretch taps his cane on the ground before he feels a surge of mana coating the entire room. After making the barrier, Zelretch tossed his cane to the side and stood tall at the end of the room. He takes Sakura away from the incoming battle and gives her some of the snacks.

"Sakura, please stay in here, alright?"
"Nii-chan?"
"Old man Zel wants to have a friendly fight with Nii-chan."
"Nii-chan will win?"
"Of course."
"EN"
He then slowly walked toward Zelretch and stopped not far away from the old man. After a few seconds staring at each other, Kojiro dash toward Zelretch and raise his feet high in the air. Seeing Kojiro attack, Zelretch tried to block it with his hand, but suddenly Kojiro squatted down and did a low spinning kick to his feet and made Zelretch lose balance. When Zelretch loses balance Kojiro kicks him into the air, Zelretch tries to gain his balance, but before he could do that, Kojiro appears above him and kicks him to the ground creating a crater in the floor.
Kojiro leaped away from Zelretch and saw the old man standing up and smirking at him. Sensing danger, he leaps away from his previous location, and suddenly an explosion is happening.
*Boom* *Boom*
Zelretch continued to use a low tier explosion in his direction. He doesn't know how Zelretch does that, but he can create an explosion within his field of view. He then decided to create a stone wall between himself and Zelretch. When a stone wall appears, Kojiro quickly writes a rune in the air and when Zelretch chooses to destroy the stone wall. Kojiro fires his rune toward the old man.
*BOOM*
He looks at the torrent of fire after he fires his rune. He knows that Zelretch will create a shield, so Kojiro inhales a breath and then compresses it inside his mouth before releasing a crushing sphere of wind toward the pillar of fire. He sees the sphere of wind enchant the pillar of fire into a bigger fire.
When he thought that the fight was finished, a rainbow-colored beam almost hit him in the chest. He is able to dodge it and see Zelretch still standing tall in the middle of a crater with many blackened floors.
Without warning, Zelretch appears in front of him, and a sword made of Kaleidoscope almost slices him in half. Seeing the sword, Kojiro growls a little before saying.

"You are on, Hien"
He is then coating his arms with wind elemental and then using it as his sword. He blocks Zelretch's sword, but as he blocks the old sword, Zelretch creates a black sphere on his hand and fires it toward him, creating an explosion.
"That's hurt."
The old man's attack really hurt. He doesn't know how, but somehow, Zelretch is able to compress Kaleidoscope into the size of a golf ball that can even pierce through his Anti-Magic effect on his clothes. He snaps from his thought when he sees Zelretch use his black sphere to attack him once more.
He quickly dodges the incoming attack and inhales a breath once more before releasing a barrage of wind blades from his mouth. He can see Zelretch tries to block it with a barrier, but his wind blade easily cuts through the barrier. Seeing Zelretch busy with his wind blade, Kojiro then releases a blast of pure wind elemental toward the old man. Kojiro sees Zelretch raise his hand, and suddenly a dome made of stone appears protecting the old man from the barrage of wind attack.
Before Kojiro can react, a magic bullet hits him in the shoulder. He sees there is a hole in the stone dome, and when the stone dome disappears, Zelretch points his finger at him, and suddenly he feels his entire body can't move. He sees a black chain made of unknown energy hold his movement.
"Checkmate"
He saw Zelretch walk toward him while his finger still pointed at him. Kojiro smiles a little before coating his entire body with wind and boosting its power output with his magic. As the chain holding him is gone, Kojiro dash toward Zelretch with his hand coated with wind elemental and then point it at the old man's neck while his other hand creates a wind sphere.
"Yes, Checkmate"
Zelretch chuckles a little before raising his hand in the air and says.
"Yeah"
He makes the wind disappear and smiles at the old vampire.
"That is a good fight. I must say that you are holding back on me, Zelretch."
"Oh?"
"You have more experience than me in magic, but you only use a few magic in this fight. Why?"
"Well, I want to see your magecraft. If I use the powerful spell from the beginning, then the fight will become too destructive. Maybe we can fight in full power when there is a place that we can use and destroy without other people complaining."
"I guess you are right."
They walk to the people that watch our fight. He can see some of them are interested in their fight, but the others have a bored expression. He doesn't know if their fight is boring to them or because they only use a common spell.
He looked at Sakura and picked her up before saying.
"How is it?"
"It was awesome! Nii-chan is like WOOSH and then BAM, while Grandpa Zelretch is like PEW, then BOOM. Nii-chan, will you teach me how to do it?"
"Of course."
"Yay!"

Lone: The Wanderer [Dropped Version (includes original draft of the rewrite's first volume)]
Nine-to-five. The daily grind. Life. Painful years of school. Working as a slave for some undeserving corporate big-wig. The monotonous life of unemployment. We all experience this in one way or another, and we can all conclude one thing: it's dull. Such a fact rings true even for the fabled Lone Immortus, a powerful nine-tailed Golden Foxkin. However, what would you do if your monotony was suddenly ground to a halt and you were thrown out of your comfort zone along with a young girl forgotten by time? Perhaps you might have done things differently, been more organised, immediately died, gained control of the world in a matter of days, but this is Lone's tale, not yours. Watching two insecure people struggle to survive and find their place in an unfamiliar land just might be enjoyable to witness. Who knows? One thing's for certain: it won't be an easy path for them to tread, and what could possibly be more entertaining than watching people endure hardships and grow? I know of at least eight gods that would answer with, 'Absolutely nothing.' I wonder, after seeing this journey from start to finish, how would you answer? [Goal of 2 chapters per week, the only exceptions being announced breaks or emergencies] A/N: This story is in the middle of a rewrite, so please forgive any noticeable plot holes and wonky chapter numbers. I am working on it every day, so understanding would be greatly appreciated. The new cover art is a courtesy of the very kind and talented ssddx. This novel is a participant in The Writer's Pledge

There's a reason people made the word improbable. Just because something would never happen based on common sense or reason, doesn't mean it can't happen. For example, a soul maintaining their memories through the River of the afterlife, a stream of ethereal energies that remove and store memories from the recently departed only to return when they die again. Another example, a soul by it's sheer will maintaining awareness during the process of a new body's development; nearly infintesimile chances of happening, but there is still a chance. Hi, you can call me Esseu (S U) and I managed to do both of those nearly impossible things back to back. My reward for such a feat? I was turned into a glorified bee keeper.
