“Ok, now that we have talked about your skills, your training is done for the day.”
“Yay!!”
Leo was ecstatic that his training was done. Although he loves training, it was rough and gave him no time play. The only time he could play was after training. Leo was excited but then he remembered that he had lost to Kan.
“Leo you have another 2 hours to train since you lost to Kan. Don’t even think about trying to run away.”
The mayor already had a grip on Leo’s shoulder. He already knew that Leo was going to run away like last time but this time he wasn’t going to let him. Leo could only give up when he felt that the mayor’s hand was already gripping his shoulder.
On the other hand Kan was free to do whatever he wanted since he won the fight. Unlike Leo who wanted to go and have fun, Kan didn’t mind training at all. He loved the feeling of become stronger and stronger as he trained and he also had a goal that he wanted to achieve. He needed to become strong enough to overcome the disaster that was going to happen.
Kan told Clive and the mayor that he was going to go train by himself and left the room. But as he was about to leave the room and go do some training, Clive spoke to him.
“Don’t overwork yourself Kan. Remember to pay attention to how much mana you have left in your body, and how much strain you are putting on body in.”
“Ok Daddy. I’ll be careful this time. I won’t make you and Mommy have to worry about me.”
The last time Kan had gone to train by himself, he had fallen unconscious due to mana exhaustion. He had been training his control of ice magic in order to defeat Leo and forgot to pay attention to how much mana he had left and had passed out. Clive and Claire were extremely worried about his condition and was afraid that he would never wake up again. They didn’t want a repeat of what happened when Kan ate the peca pen cake.
Kan could still see that there was worry on Clive’s face so he tried to assure Clive by explaining where he was going to train.

“I’ll be fine. I’m going to be training with the mister from the alarm tower.”
“Oh, you’re training with Cole today. Give him my thanks for training you.”
“Ok, I will. See you later Daddy.”
Clive trusted Cole with training Kan. Although Cole had only been living in the village of Clear View for almost 2 years, Clive trusted him. Cole had come along with the government officials who had come to pick up the materials and taxes as a mercenary in charge of protecting the caravan. When they arrived in the village there was a problem with drunken mercenaries harassing the villagers but it was Cole who had taken care of them. Clive was there and saw Cole defeating the other mercenaries but it couldn’t even be called a battle. Cole had swiftly taken care of the 4 mercenaries in the blink of an eye.
After the commotion was over, Clive went and interacted with Cole. After a few drinks with each other, they quickly bonded and began talking about life stories. Clive came to find out that Cole Pierce had once been a knight of the city-state of Key but was injured, so he had been discharged from duty. Seeing that his only skill was in fighting, Cole took up the job as a mercenary. From what Cole told him, Clive felt that the officials in power were blind to let go of someone so strong. Since the people in the capital didn’t want him, Clive decided to ask Cole if he wanted to stay and live in the village of Clear View. With the oncoming disaster that was going to happen to Clear View, Clive wanted another strong person to protect the village.
Listening to Clive’s proposal, Cole accepted it. He decided to live in the village Clear View as the watchman of the alarm tower, since there was no official person stationed there. In the year that Cole lived in the village, Clive had only met him a few other times. When Clive found out that Kan wanted to learn how to fight from Cole, he was happy about it. It was the perfect opportunity for Kan to learn how to deal with a different fighting style, since Kan only knew the fighting style of his and the mayor. Cole was a knight and eventually Kan would have to deal with the fighting styles of the city-state of Key, so it was the perfect opportunity.

……
The alarm tower was already close by as Kan walked towards it. Kan arrived at the door of the alarm tower and opened it. As soon as he opened the door there was a clicking sound and Kan immediately jumped and rolled backwards. An arrow had just been shot at Kan, but he was quick enough to dodge it. If he had stayed still then that arrow would have pierced through his head.
“Good job, but after an ambush always be ready.”
A voice suddenly whispered these words next to Kan’s ear as Kan had just landed. Immediately Kan used his left hand to grab dirt and throw it at where the voice came from while his other hand was concentrated on using magic. He molded his mana into multiple air blades and also shot it towards the voice. This was the fastest and easiest magic he could control.
“Good. Trying to blind your enemy while simultaneously attacking them. But there’s not enough power or speed behind your attack.”
The voice still sounded like it was right next to his ear but Kan still couldn’t see him. He knew that Cole had skill that made him invisible but even if he knew about it, he didn’t know how to deal with it. The only thing Kan could do right now was keep on running around and shooting balls of water to see if any of them would hit Cole.
“You can’t aim randomly Kan. You are just wasting your mana at this point.”
As Cole was talking, Kan stopped running around. He was now standing in one spot with no indication of doing anything at all. It was like he had given up the fight.
“Have you given up Kan. Let me end this then.”
Kan didn’t say anything back as Cole was talking. He stayed silent and looked around his surroundings. And then he smiled.
“My sword will be the sharpest of all blades. Become sharper and sharper and become the sharpest. [Wind Blade]!!!!!!”
This magic that Kan was using was different than all the other magic he had used before it. The intensity and power of this magic was on a different level. All the other magic Kan had been using hadn’t required a chant or even had a proper name. He had been using his own mana to mold the mana in nature into his desired shape and form. But this time he was forcing all the wind mana into his mold. If he made a mistake, his mold could explode and cause some serious backlash to him. The only way to control this type of magic was to create a chant and a name for it. Throughout history any powerful magic would need a chant and a name because without one, the magic wouldn’t be able to maintain its form and power.
The wind blade was in the shape of a broadsword and was heading straight towards Cole. It wasn’t just luck that Kan had been able to figure out Cole’s position. Earlier when he had been running around and shooting balls of water, it was all a part of his plan. He shot water around so the dirt on the ground would become muddy and easier to track footprints. This was also the reason why he had stopped running and stood at one spot. He needed Cole to start walking towards him so he could see the footprints.
The wind blade was now closing in on where Cole’s footprints had stopped at. And in the next second his magic made impact with the ground and mud was sent all over the area. Kan was excited when his magic made impact but in the blink of an eye his expression fell.
“Never celebrate too early Kan.”
After the voice spoke, Kan felt two hands grab onto his right arm. It was a solid grip and even if he struggle he wouldn’t be able to escape unless he severed his arm. In the next moment his world turned into a blur and then he was face first inside of the mud. There was now the cold sensation of a blade on his neck. There was nothing else he could do to turn the tables.

A Sith? During The Fall
Darth Zaros was the Empire’s Wrath; the greatest Sith Warrior and a man feared across the galaxy. He was also just my Old Republic game character until I somehow woke up as him. If that wasn’t bad enough, I was sent thousands of years into the future to the eve of the Great Jedi Purge. Alone and surrounded by enemies, can Zaros survive long enough to figure out how he got there? Can he ever find his way back? Follow along as Zaros uses his powers and more importantly, the knowledge of a fan, to navigate his way through a dangerous Universe. I'm working with a mixture of canon and legends stuff. If it hasn't been written over in canon then it will probably be free game. Because I’m reconciling various different sources, power levels won’t be blown out of proportion to the point that force users become the only relevant people in the Galaxy. I added the gore tag just in case. This is Star Wars, so there won’t be any needless blood spatters, but lightsaber duels often end with some body part cut off.
8 198The Damned
He is haunted by the memories of his past as by his demons in the present. A man with nothing to lose and nothing to cherish. His broken soul gets another chance in a much crueler world. However, he seeks neither redemption nor salvation. Where will this blood paved path take him?

Old fanfic from when I was still a novice writer. It has a lot of imagination, but, unfortunately, it's got that 'fanfic' quality to it.
