《Heart of Creation》CH 12: waking up

It was hard to move. I could tell I was bandaged, and I could tell I had a lot of injuries. I shifted the Zeon around me and started repairing the bones in my arms. I knew it wouldn't work well, but I needed to try.
"She is awake." I heard Natalie say.
"Her breathing is the same, and her eyes are closed," came Mom's voice. "How can you tell?"
"She is using her gift to try and heal herself. It's not working well, but it seems like she knew that." An unknown female voice followed.
"She doesn't heal well. If I had to guess, she is focusing on her arms, so she can write again." I heard Natalie again.
I tried to lift my arm, and found that I couldn't. So I imagined a tablet with the word water written on it. I felt it cross into existence.
"What does that say?" The unfamiliar voice said.
"Water." This was a voice I knew. Persephone. I flinched at the sound of it. "You are fine child. I'm not here to take you. On the contrary, I'm here to make sure you stay. You took quite a beating."
I imagined writing thanks on the pad of paper again.
"Your welcome." Persephone replied.
"This looks like the ancient tongue. Does she understand it?" The woman I don't know said. So I wrote 'who are you?'
"She doesn't realize she is doing it. She is thinking what she wants to say, and it's appearing to us. The new line is asking who you are." Persephone said.
"I'm Bridgette. I'm Mr. Simon's daughter. He sent me to try and get you caught back up when you awoke." The woman replied.
'How long have I been out?'

"About a month now." Persephone answered. "Don't panic. But try to concentrate on your language. You aren't writing in a language that's been used in a long time."
'Sorry'
At that Mom started crying. I'm guessing she could read that one.
"Can you tell us what you remember?" Natalie asked.
'I turned the corner to go into my Spellcraft class, and then this.'
I heard Persephone read my words out loud. I guess I'm writing weird.
"We are thankful you are alive." Natalie said.
'Yeah, Demeter would probably be pissed if I kicked the bucket now. We have more important things, than me laid up, to worry about.'
I was finally able to open my eyes.
'Bridgette, you are beautiful.'
"Thanks, Tasha."
'Writing with the gift, and trying to heal myself is draining. I need to sleep again.'
Mom nodded, while helping me get some water down, and I went back to sleep.

Crimson Gloom
Crimson Gloom. The time when the moon turns crimson, illuminating the landscape with its crimson glow. The time when the ‘doors’ to the Crimson Abyss open. One shall gaze into the abyss and gain its secrets and powers. Concurrently, the abyss also gazes into oneself, gaining one’s sanity and humanity. Dimensional rifts appeared spontaneously on Earth, bringing otherworldly demons along with the Crimson Gloom. Bloody battles were fought, noble sacrifices were made. Humans eventually sealed the rifts and successfully defended their homeworld. Alas, the seals were not perfect. The Crimson Abyss continued to exist, slowly influencing Earth and its inhabitants. Half a century of relatively uneventful years passed… humanity slowly descended into corruption, and the majority of them knew nothing of the effects of the Crimson Abyss. Is there only the dreadful gloom left to the world? Can one find brightness in the increasingly gloomy world? The youth who had gazed into the Crimson Abyss had no answer, nor did he care. He only wanted the Crimson Gloom to end, to forever seal the Crimson Abyss. A mistake and a twist of fate led the youth into a seemingly totally different direction. Will he forget his lifelong goal? Will he instead step back onto his initial path that he fervently pursued? Disclaimer: I do not own the image on the cover. Image edited on canva.com. This piece of work, after all, is only a first draft and by no means an end product by an amateur (beginner) writer. Mistakes are bound to happen. With that said, I will strive to improve as I write. Feel free to point out errors and inconsistencies as you read. I thank you for your time. Finally, I pledge to not rewrite this novel until the first draft is completed.

Hi I don't know if this is satire/ironic or not, all I know is that I've been on a Total Drama kick and I spent the last half hour sending crappy Cody fanart to my friend.
