People are confused about some stuff from this series so I decided to make an encyclopedia for the series, so here it is the first chapter of the Wanderers guide for the multiverse!
BTW for those wondering about why most of my grammar mistakes disappeared on the last 2 chapters its because I bought a new keyboard, I had the other for over 8 years and it was failing and sometimes typing wrong stuff alone or changing keys. Fallout 4 forced me to buy a new one.
1) The multiverse
The multiverse is the union of all the diferent universes, those universes have its own laws, some are magical and others not. The space between the universes is called the rift, on the rift the are no time or space, its only a infinite and eternal limbo.
2) Organizations
There are several organizations on the multiverse, some of the most famous are:
The Nexus: An alliance and union made of 8 universes, 6 magical ones and 2 without magic. The nexus is Ruled by a senate called The Council and even if it has its own army, great part of its power comes from the contract with the warlords. First generation wanderers all came from universe alfa, which is inhabited by newmans and other 3 sentient races.
The warlords: The most powerfull beings on the 7 dimensions that are part of the Nexus alliance, each one of them with the power equivalent to a god. They also have a deal with the council of not interference, they dont abide to any law of the nexus except that they cant rape ,pillage ,attack authorities or interfere on military missions, they also are exempt of taxes like are those under theyr service. In exchange they dont interfere on the nexus politics or military they can only watch and protect the Nexus. 5 of them are Newmans, a human, a elf, 3 maous, 2 vampires and 3 dragons.

Jacks grandmother and head of the Lunangera Clan is a warlord.
Spacial laser potato of fate: legendary mercenary group founded by Dana Lunanegra, known for doing suicidal and almost impossible jobs. Theyre extremely expensive so people rarely contract them, but they have am almost perfect mission record. They disbanded 100 years ago because of the lack of important jobs and because dana decided to focus on taking care of her clan, but they came back when the rift was discovered and became first generation wanderers. The name was decided in a bar and registered after the members got drunk after theyr first job.
3) Tecnologies
Nanytes: Multiuse nanobots that run through the bloodstream. Theyr functions are:
Personal computer
Interdimensional telephone and hologram communicator
Accelerated healing (Its not instant) and disease protection
Data pocket ( the nanytes convert matter into energy and can convert them back. They CAN NOT CREATE THINGS, they act as infinite storages, but they cant hold live beings).
Riftship: vehicle used to travel between dimensions.
Weapons: There are several kinds of weapons theyre classified as:
3.1) Ballistic weapons: normal guns, Pyros, stormbrimgers and mentalists are immune to them.
3.2) Railguns: weapons that shoot using electricity and electromagnetism, strombringers are immune to them and pyros are resistant.
3.3)Energy guns: weapons that shoot lasers, plasma, radiation, microwaves or electricity, powerfull but expensive and hightech.
3.4)Vibroblades: Blades that vibrate at high frequencies increasing theyr cutting capabilities
3.5)Disrupters: special weapons that disrupt ESP, theyre used to kill Newmans. They can only be non ballistic but have great variety, from swords to throwing daggers, bullets are too small to be used as disruptors making impossible to create disrupting guns.

3.5) Non ballistic weapons: All weapons that aren’t guns, disrupters or vibroblades.
4) The Newman
7 Races of evolved humans with ESP. since ESP act distorting the chords and consequently the laws of universe the same way that magic they interfere which each other, making impossible for newmans to use magic by normal means. Because of its magical interference the children of newmans and magical races always have the newman parent ESP and cant use magic, those Hybrids are considered the same race as the newman parent even if it has traits of both parents. (which is why Jack is a half incubus, this is impossible to any non newman race). Therte are 2 ways for a newman to use magic. One is for them to make a magical contract, wich will allow it to use the same kind of magic that the other part, magical contracts don’t work between people with the same blood (which is why Jack hasnt made a contract with his Maou grandfather). The second one is being a predator, their ESP can adapt to not interfere with magic.
4.1)Mentalists
Mentalists can use both telepathy and telekinesis as one ESP called mentalism. All mentalists have purple eyes and grey or white hair. Mentalists have pale skins and are sensible to sunlight, when enraged or endangered mentalist pupils change and become cat like. Mentalists have great night vision and can feed from psychic energy (also called psyons), sentient beings naturally emit psyons on the air just by thinking, which is one of the reasons mentalists like big cities, the mental state and emotions can create different kinds of psyons. If nescesasary mentalists can feed directly from people, but it can cause several problems, on the beginning the target will get lethargic, then itll lose its memories, pass out, enter a coma and finally have cerebral death.
Mentalists have 8 senses. Smelling, taste, vision, hearing, tact, psysense (ability to sense minds, they can feel anything that have a mind don’t matter the level of intelligence), psytaste (they can taste psyons and emotions, some mentalists take liking to feeding from specific emotions) and toughthearing (can only hear what people are thinking at the moment, going deeper is an active skill called mind reading).
Mentalists are more agile than humans, wiser and more intelligent than any other newman, but are weaker and more fragile than normal humans, because of that mentalists keep a telekinetic armor active all the times not only to protect them but also to compensate their lack on physical strength. Because of the constant voices on their heads and knowing how bright and dark people can be mentalists are random, inprevisible and borderline insane as well as lack of common sense. Mentalists have hereditary memories and can copy knowledge from other peoples brains making them mauture at ridiculous speed. By law mentalists must go to school not because of the subjects, but to learn how to interact with others, develop a personality and learn the minimum amount of common sense. Mentalists pass through a ritual called the awakening where they assume who they are and decide who teyll be by making a pledge, theyr powers will adapt to the pledge creating something akin to a “Class”, the pledge cant be changed but will evolve as the mentalist grow and its mind change. Before the awakening mentalists can only use simple techniques and cant infuse more than one idea or emotion on theyr attacks (jack is a incomplete mentalist, he never passed trough the awakening for reasons yet to be revealed, most of his techniques use raw power) .
