《In a new world, so lets go it alone!》prologue

Blood was everywhere. Bodies of beings obviously no human have strung around, no one body was fully intact. The ground was barren and black. One man was walking and humming to himself.
‘So you must be wondering how I can just walk and hum after doing what I just did. It’s because I'm sain. What? You think that's the opposite? Insane, the opposite of sain, means to be out of touch with reality, and right now I'm in full sink with reality, more than anyone else.’
‘It all goes back to a while back’
A while back
I was drinking coke, and

Oh, yah I forgot about the zombies. Zombies, you ask? Well, ten days ago a million zombie appeared around the world. But they were killed by the collective governments pretty fast.
But back to the topic, after reading the rules it can be compacted down to what is essentially a lite-RPG. One rule is that nothing on your person is left behind. So got to get all the things I need. First, a weapon got lucky on this. My sister minored in cooking and had a Japanese made steel knife in a sheath. So I slipped that in my pocket, seconded food. So I said this before, but I got lucky. I have a deep love for salted meats, more specifically beef jerky. So I grab my backpack (i’m big so I have a hiking backpack for a school one) (i’m a senior in high school), dump the shit out, and put some textbooks back in, mainly on physics, and math, and put the jerky in it. Now clothes, I go to my room open my dresser and put in my shirts, pants, undies, a black cloth jacket. then put a black leather jacket on. I like leather (not S&M), and black. I gonna beat the horse with a knife to the heart. And say I'm lucky! The water filter on my fridge was broken, and my dad bought a large pack of water bottles. After cramming those in I put some cokes in the side pocket. I like coke.

At this time my dad got back.
“---! did you see that!”
My name? Not relevant.
“Yah I saw it.”
“You think it’s real?”
“Zombies dad, zombies”
“Yah in hindsight this isn't that more surprising”
I put the bulging backpack on and say.
“Sorry, dad but I think I'll go it alone.”
“What?”
“I’ve been reading about this type of thing on the internet forever! I’m not passing up this chance”
“That's insane!”
I should mention one rule is anyone you aren't directly touching will be randomly teleported to a different location called a ‘spawn point’ with others. I just remembered to grab my phone, it’s charger, a pair of headphones, and one of those strips with outlets that protect from power surges.
I also get a notepad and some pens.
getting into my dad's car I drive to the library, seeing that the counter is unmanned I think to myself, this makes things easy. I grab some books on plants, mainly how to recognize plants that are poisonous. I also tried to find a book on skinning, and on what parts of an animal are edible. Unsurprisingly I couldn’t find them. I go to the fiction section and grab my favorite fiction series, that I first read five years ago. So I go to my second stop. My school. I break in and go to the science lab to get some burners, I grab one electric one and a gas one. What is that gas, I whip out my phone and check what it is. Methane huh? CH4? Cool. now home.
At home, i print some things on skinning and on what parts of various animals are edible. I put the papers in my bulging backpack. I get back into the car and drive, drive to a hill a few miles out of my city to a nearby hill and take out a coke I grabbed on the way out. Sipping on the coke I look at the city, and

An Unwavering Craftsman
Given the hereditary nature of classes, everyone expects Damien—the child of two high-tiered adventurers—to be granted a high-tier combat class of his own. Expectations are betrayed, however, when Damien finds himself instead saddled with a crafting class of the lowest possible tier: [Neophyte Tailor]. Left practically crippled compared to those with better classes, Damien wants to avoid becoming a pawn in the machinations of the nobility, desiring only to grind his level in peace while wondering why the usual rules of inheritance were broken. Was it his desire to excel by his own effort, rather than an unearned blessing from a god? Did the Five take offence at his opinions on the unfairness of hereditary classes? Or maybe it was something to do with the alien voice that intruded on his ceremony? A voice that offers great power, and freedom from the tyranny of the Five, but that never names its price. This story is litRPG-lite. While the class someone possesses controls most of their lives, people don't get dinged at for every level they gain, nor can they see their status without undergoing a special ritual. The MC has no romantic interest. Crafting is merely a way to game the system, and doesn't feature heavily in the story, aside from a few descriptions on how they're carrying out the system abuse. There is, on one unfortunate occasion, maths. The pace is quick. This was a participant in the Spring 2022 writathon. (i.e. it was posted as-written at high speed. I may give it another editing pass in the future.)
