《Reincarnation of The Butcher Alchemist》Chapter 11: Death of Elder Zhu Wang

After some minutes of traveling, they saw in the distance a tall wooden wall and a gate. In front of the gate were four guards who were guarding the entrance.
When they arrived in front of the gate they saw a young guard came up to them and politely asked: "Welcome to Carefree Village. How can I help you Sir?"
The man with long brown hair answered: "We came to this village hearing that people are mysteriously disappearing and are here to help you solve the problem."
When the young guard heard that, he became overjoyed and quickly said: "Thank you, thank you. Quickly come in, I let you meet the Village Head and you can discuss further."
.....
But while Zhu Tufu was remembering the distant past, a knock on the door brought him back into the present. After that Zhu Tufu heard someone saying: "I am sorry to interrupt you Young master, but a Law Enforcement Elder is here to ask Young master some questions about Elder Zhu Wang."
[Zhu Wang? It's probably the Elder who was blocking my way. What a nice surprise. Is he already dead?]
While Zhu Tufu was thinking this, he had a sinister smile on his face before hiding it and opening the door to see a man in his forties.
The man looked at Zhu Tufu for a moment and kindly said: "Hi, I am the Law Enforcement Elder Zhu Wo. I am only here to ask you some questions about Elder Zhu Wang who you met yesterday at the Technique Temple."
After hearing that Zhu Tufu led him into the living room, where the Law Enforcement Elder Zhu Wo and Zhu Tufu both sat down and Law Enforcement Elder Zhu Wo started strictly saying.
"As I said before I am here to question you about Elder Zhu Wang who you met at the Technique Temple yesterday."

Zhu Tufu said innocently with a fake confused face: "Sure, but why are you asking about him? Did something happen?"
The Law Enforcement Elder Zhu Wo hesitated for a moment before making up his mind and said: "It won't be a secret very long anyway so I just tell you. We found him dead in his bedroom with his wife. Of course if they died by poison or assassination then we would never come here to interrupt you or Grand Elder Zhu Li, but the weird thing is they died without bones inside of them. We also found some unmoving tiny dots in their bed and later found out that they were some kind of bug we never seen before. We concluded that they were probably the cause of Elder Zhu Wang's and his wife's death. Luckily they were already dead or else we could have got infected too. But we still quarantined the whole building just for safety and are waiting further instructions from the Patriarch."
When Zhu Tufu heard that he thought [It seems as soon as the bugs ate all the bones in that Elder Zhu Wo's body, they went to the nearest bones, which was his wife.]
As for the quarantine, Zhu Tufu didn't pay much attention to it. The Bone Eating bugs will die in one hour if it doesn't eat any bones. So it's almost impossible that some of them survived.
After this Law Enforcement Elder Zhu Wo started questioning Zhu Tufu.
"So I got a report saying you and Elder Zhu Wang were chatting before you went inside the Technique Temple that day. Is that true?"
"Yes, Elder Zhu Wang didn't want to let me inside the Technique Temple and ended up arguing. After some time he let me inside."

The Law Enforcement Elder Zhu Wo said surprised "Really?" Inside he thought [He always supported, that Duan Fa would be the next Patriarch while Grand Elder Zhu Li was against it. But to think he would even cause trouble to a six year old boy. How petty can you be?]
"Did you have any other encounters with him?"
"No"
"What...
.....
After two hours of questioning, the Law Enforcement Elder said goodbye and left. Zhu Tufu was tired of the questioning and went into the bathroom to splash cold water on his face and then went into his bedroom to take out the rest of the cores inside the Space ring and put them beside him.
Zhu Tufu sat down on his bed, closed his eyes and started slowly absorbing them with the help of his Void Center.
The vortex inside of him absorbed one core after another. Absorbing all the Impure or harmful Qi from the cores while nurturing the body with Pure Qi.
.....
After one hour all the cores were absorbed and Zhu Tufu opened his eyes filled with satisfaction and mumbled to himself.
"With this I am already at the second level(1) of Body Stage(2). And I don't even need to care about my foundation being shaken(3) thanks to the Pure Qi.
(1): After the Core Stage every other Stage will have nine levels. The first, second and third level are called low level. the fourth, fifth and sixth levels are called mid level and the seventh, eighth and ninth level are called high level.
(2): After Core Stage is Body Stage where it nurtures your body to have the minimum requirement to be able to become a Cultivator meaning you can strengthen your body in the future with a specific Body Strengthening Technique.
(3): Normally if you absorb so much Qi without strengthening the foundation, you might shake your foundation. The best case you just suffer an internal injury that's going to make you weaker than a person without a shaken foundation in the same Stage or the worse case, death. The only exception is if you only absorb Pure Qi which is hard to find, because even the World Qi has Impure Qi and you need to precious herbs that can be eaten or refine a Pill with no impurities to absorb Pure Qi. Than you could cultivate as much as you want without caring about your foundation.
After cultivating Zhu Tufu took the buckets of Demon beast blood which were still in his room into the Space ring and went outside the house into his backyard and took out the buckets and started reading about the low grade Heaven rank, long range Agility Battle technique 'Bloody Wings'.

Lone: The Wanderer [Dropped Version (includes original draft of the rewrite's first volume)]
Nine-to-five. The daily grind. Life. Painful years of school. Working as a slave for some undeserving corporate big-wig. The monotonous life of unemployment. We all experience this in one way or another, and we can all conclude one thing: it's dull. Such a fact rings true even for the fabled Lone Immortus, a powerful nine-tailed Golden Foxkin. However, what would you do if your monotony was suddenly ground to a halt and you were thrown out of your comfort zone along with a young girl forgotten by time? Perhaps you might have done things differently, been more organised, immediately died, gained control of the world in a matter of days, but this is Lone's tale, not yours. Watching two insecure people struggle to survive and find their place in an unfamiliar land just might be enjoyable to witness. Who knows? One thing's for certain: it won't be an easy path for them to tread, and what could possibly be more entertaining than watching people endure hardships and grow? I know of at least eight gods that would answer with, 'Absolutely nothing.' I wonder, after seeing this journey from start to finish, how would you answer? [Goal of 2 chapters per week, the only exceptions being announced breaks or emergencies] A/N: This story is in the middle of a rewrite, so please forgive any noticeable plot holes and wonky chapter numbers. I am working on it every day, so understanding would be greatly appreciated. The new cover art is a courtesy of the very kind and talented ssddx. This novel is a participant in The Writer's Pledge
