Since Kate, Eron, Nina and Lilian are out I decided to get some training in, I went over to the Fighting Fist of the academy, inside there is a training room with a bunch of wooden training dummies, also steel training dummies, also Mana Crystal hardened to the point it can take a punch from Kieran Training Dummies, yea if you want to test something coming here is normally the easiest way.

I pull the blank magazine I made yesterday out of my inventory and made a Paper Sword, since this can only be increased with skill level I start whacking the wooden training dummy as fast as possible with my Dexterity however not with much force behind it so I don't break to Paper Sword. after some time I get the hang of it and the skill level starts to rise quickly, I decide to see what it could do when the skill level reached 10, after that I tried to slice the wooden training dummy in half and sure enough I do, it felt like a steel sword at skill level 1, at skill level 2 it felt like it got twice as strong so now I know with each skill level it increases by one steel sword, at 10 it cut straight through wood with ease.

this skill can turn paper into such a deadly weapon, I look forward to seeing what it can do at a higher level or even when it evolves. after that I move onto paper bullets. I shoot the target a few times and sure enough the paper I shot the target with became in usable. this now sacrifices the paper instead of letting you return it. I will have to buy a few blank books later. I then used elemental Paper Weight and the wooden training dummy was crushed into the ground like it weighed a 10 tons. to be honest it most likely did. that is the current number on my weighted training gear, this ability could become powerful as long as I train my strength and keep increasing the weight of my weighted training gear. however the piece of paper I used was absorbed into me and I felt myself not only weigh the same as a piece of paper but also... feel like paper?

whatever, next was book throw and it broke the wooden training dummy into splinters and embedded itself into the concrete below. oh sorry, I just threw the book with all my might, I waited for the room to fix the damage and then used the actual book throw skill, it moved slowly through the air and this time it passed straight through the wooden training dummy, then after 10 meters it returned slowly to my hand. huh? maybe it was a good thing I did not try and block the books I just evaded them, it looks like even if them move slowly they just target my opponent, and a wooden training dummy does not count I suppose? I wonder if it has to be organic? I will test it on Conner later but for now I think I will.

"John" Michael said from behind me with his partner Lin. "What are you doing here? did you get some skills you want to grind?" Michael asked me with a smile.

"Yea, some Paper Skills, they make Paper into a weapon that is actually useful however it has some strange mechanics, unlike normal moves it deals damage as a percentage of total health, it is a low percentage however a percentage all the same. I also have Paper Sword that can now cut through wood like it is nothing" I said demonstrating a Paper Sword cut through the wooden training dummy. Michael looked shocked

"Whatever that is I cant tell how it works with all my senses. maybe the pen truly is mightier then the sword" Michael said jokingly but then looked to have an Idea. "Wait, lets test that, Lin dear, could you please spar with my brother with your weapons. it will be helpful to test his Paper weapons" Michael said to Lin who just looked back at him angry however then turned to me and threw what looked to be a metal throwing star, I blocked it with my sword, the throwing stars embedded themselves into the sword, I removed them and the sword regenerated. that will come in handy.

"Sure, I will fight him but you will owe me later" Lin said in a scary voice, we then walked over to the arena for the second years. it was a wide open area however it held some secrets, you could make it into a few different types of fighting environments, from flatland to hills, from caves to cliff sides. anywhere you could get into a fight really. I picked flatland since as a Dragon Slayer I am good at fighting head on in flatland. we jumped onto the ring and we stepped back.

[Lin Ren]

Lin was dressed like normal in tight black leather, she had gloves, a face mask, high heel boots, and chest leather that was dark black and the rest was fabric, not sure what my brother sees in her, or is it more stockholm syndrome? whatever it is he likes her, she is a weapons master, she uses Mana to form different sharp metal objects and met my brother when she wanted to test them on someone who can respawn. at first my brother wished he couldn't re spawn and sent messages homs saying 'save me' however soon he fell for her. she did not feel the same at first however looking at that title I would say she has now.

"Are you ready?" My brother said while standing in as a referee, to this Lin threw 5 throwing stars at him and he dodged 4 of them. "I mean 3....2....1....go" Michael said with a wry smile and stepped back a bit, Lin then created a sword and swung it at mine to test its strength I guess? it embedded into my sword two thirds of the way through, my sword then regenerated around her thin blade and she could not move her sword.

"Nice sword for something made of paper however mine is made of metal" Lin said as her sword grew a chain around the edge and then small blades on the chain, then they began slicing through my blade with ease. it was a chainsaw blade, I thought only the Technological Academy had these. oh well. my blade reformed and I jumped back.

"Interesting blade however try this on for size" I said while using Paper Bullets, she could not avoid them but she did cut through them with her blade. nice reflexes. however... I used Book Throw. she went to slice it in half however just as I predicted it passed straight through her sword like it wasn't even there. she was then hit in the face. but she did not fall back, the book went into her, almost like what happens when I use Paper Weight, she then clutched her face as she lost 10% of her health bar.

"Lin!" Michael said while running over to Lin, Lin got up like nothing happened a moment later however the health bar was still showing 10% gone. "What was that?" Michael said to me confused. "I could not sense what happened, the book just vanished and her health dropped, or something.... what?" Michael said to himself. using healing magic on Lin who did not mind. "Any other skills?" Michael said questioning me strange abilities.

"Paper Weight and Heart Bolt" I said admittedly, He laughed at the latter.

"Heart Bolt?" Lin said questioningly towards Michael, Michael then looked surprised.

"Oh yea, you don't know that story, John has a harem with 3 girls and has a Charm stat" Michael said... wait I have 4...oh he hasn't met Lilian, lets not tell him yet, his little heart could not take it. "oh well, use them on my, I don't want Lin to be affected by anything weird from your abilities" Michael said with a smile, Lin kicked him but the stood at the side.

I then activate Paper Weight causing him to collapse into the ground. "That is Paper weight, it puts my weight onto you as I absorb a piece of paper and become the same weight as it." I said simply however he was still confused, he could not tell how it worked... maybe I could do something with this Paper for illusions of something?

"What did you eat for breakfast to weigh that much?" Michael said jokingly, knowing I had training weights on, I laughed a bit before raising my hands and using Heart Bolt, it formed a heart shape, not a real heart, it was the type of heart shape you make into chocolates for your lover or in my case lovers, it was a glowing sparkling transparent bright pink heart. "HAHAHAHAHAAAA, sorry no it could be strong...WOHAAHAHAHAHA!" Michael started laughing, I then fired the Heart Bolt and sure enough it had a trail of hearts behind it. and as soon as it hit Michael was sent flying back in a bright pink explosion that dealt no damage.

"what the?" I said to myself before using observe, he had a status affect.

[Loving Heart: around the one that has this affect they will have the feeling of their lover making love to them, they loose all combat ability and mental fortitude while this is in affect. lasts 10 minuets and 43 seconds]

ah, so the damage rating would be how much it can break through before it reaches someone? oh well, "Lin, he has a Loving Heart affect" I said to her and she looked at me seriously.

"it makes people picture the one they love making love to them, makes them defenceless. so he is making love to you in his head" I said this and Lin went red and started throwing a wall of metal sharp weapons off me. ok I deserve this one... however the weapons stop.

"really?" Lin asks with a red face... I for some strange twisted reason look at her with a straight face and say something I would most likely regret.

"nope, he is with some big boobed blond elf girl" I said with a straight face. Lin then dropped all her blades and walked over to Michael sobbing. until she hears Michael mumble something which I cant hear even with Advanced Hearing and then Lin jumps up red in the face... no that cant even describe it she was so embarrassed that she fell right back down onto her ass. I just Blink Step away from the countless weapons that were thrown at me.

that settles it, The Pen is mightier then The Sword, however words can be even mightier then both. I move back to the training room to try and develop my own personal Paper skills. I wonder what to try. A Paper Barrier? A Paper Elemental Bullet like I saw the Librarians use? maybe I can make some Paper illusions? I will experiment and see however first It is Lunchtime.

I walk over to the cafeteria and on the way I ran into Victoria, she is known for having great sensory powers of what she could see, at least in one eye, in the other it is alteration of what she can see. I wonder... "Hey Victoria, could you assist me for a moment, I am trying to understand this skill however I do not know all of its mechanics. I was thinking you could help with your eyes" I said simply. she turned to me and looked me in the eyes...

"I cant read your mind and see your true intentions, show me both your eyes without that barrier" She said simply. I cant do that, YOU WOULD DIE!!! oh well.

"If I did that you would die from my left eye" I said bluntly and she just looked at me before remembering the only reason I shield my eyes is because of its damaging affect. I don't want to grind the skill because if it evolves so pass through barriers I will be stuck with one Dragon Eye when I fight.

"ok then, show me your ability" She said at me sceptically, I removed my training weights and used Paper Weight, she collapsed to the floor in confusion... she also couldn't? maybe I will have to go to the Academy Of The Sky to find out.

"HOW? WHAT? GUBUSABA?" She said in utter confusion... wow is it that bad? paper illusion magic is looking likely to be useful if it cant be seen through. maybe I could.... make that Paper Boss version of me to help me fight? hmm... that would be hard as I have no Idea of where to start from... maybe start with a Paper Summoned Creature and work my way up...
