Kate's Point Of View

I woke up in my room, I was not happy, John made me fall asleep with some kind of ability and did not give a proper goodbye. I will burn him next time I see him, oh yea he said Father would let me visit, he will regret that. I put my clothes on and get ready. I walk over into my fathers office and he smiles.

"Glad to see you awake, what can I do for you today?" my father said in a polite tone. he was busy recharging since it was early 6 o'clock. however he always has enough energy to talk to me.

"Father, when can I go an visit John?" I ask simply yet in an exited voice, he on the other hand looked like he just sent a curse to John and then continued.

"You cant. as he is in the Dragon Continent, if you went there you would most likely die, the place is boiling and has oceans of lava with a sandstorm at least once a day. there are very strong dragons there and since you are no Dragon Slayer you would die very quickly to a dragon. and since dragons are all you can eat there and the only water is the water you make yourself with Magic. you would die" my father said simply. John went off to such a dangerous place? I thought he was at most a chicken slayer, but to put him in a place of true dragon slayers.

"Father, are you sure this is a good Idea?" I asked, if my father agrees then I have no choice but to listen.

"No. I think he has a high probability of being killed, multiple times, however he is the only one among us who can go there and respawn if he dies, so there is nothing to worry about" father said in a happy voice, "But I have to go now, I will be gone for around a day" father said while vanishing.

If he thinks I will just sit back and except that, wait, maybe I can still go. I was running low on medicine anyway. you see, without this very rare medicine after some time my other personality will show, for one day a week I change from being the me that is in control of her emotions and controls fire, to someone who can not control there emotions and controls ice. father is not strong against ice, so if I wanted to go on the day I change, he could not stop me. I will have to wait a bit for the medicine to die down however maybe I can still go, until then I will prepare everything I need and I will also learn the map to get to the Dragon Continent.

(2 weeks Later)

I woke up and it was a bit cold, I realised today was the day to go and see John and her father could do nothing to stop me. I smiled as I got ready and headed off while father was still recharging at 6 o'clock. I then left the academy at a very fast speed, it broke the sound barrier leaving a sonic boom behind me, while on ice I could reach very fast speeds. so I made shoes of ice and ran. I had a map so I knew where I was going, I had food and water, I would not be long as not even Verod could match my speed, well Verod's dragon from could however without it I am much faster.

after a while of running I could finally could see the Dragon Continent, alongside a very angry father. he had obviously asked someone to teleport him to me so he could bring me back, however that did not stop me, I could still freeze him.

"Kate, think about it, If John did not want to go he would not have, it was his choice and he agreed to it. he is busy training and you must not disturb him." father said with a unhappy face. unable to be angry at his daughter this was the most he could show. however his words would only effect Kate on a good day.

"why? I want to see him and I wont let you stop me" I said while freezing father solid in a cube of ice. he looked worried however it was not for him he was worrying, I ran off in the direction of the Dragon's Continent. and it was BOILING, my body could hardly move.

"ok, switching over" I said and my hair changed from sky blue to brown in an instant. when Kate changed she regained her resistance to heat and fire, however it was not purfect, I still feel like I am boiling, it was unexplainable the heat was unbearable and I am a high class Fire Mage. I then wandered off into the desert, after a few hours of nothing I then decided maybe I am lost. after wandering a bit more I really was lost. and worst of all, a sandstorm started to pick up.

"John" I mumbled I wanted to see him however, knowing John would never hear it. the sandstorm was one thing, however what I did not expect was a Basic Dragon to come into view. I then fell back scared, started fired off multiple fire attacks however it did nothing, the scales shrugged it off. the dragon walked closer to me who was now regretting my decision.

"Dr..o. C.aw" something could be heard however the sandstorm was to strong to hear it clearly, however the dragon fell to the ground after that. then a strange hooded figure with one glowing eye walked over to me. the clothes looked to be made of dragon skin, what kind of monster would it take to do that?

"I follow a energy signature I did not recognise and it led me here. who would have thought?" the voice said, it was familiar however I could not remember if I knew anyone strong enough to kill a dragon. "I will have to tell Conner to be more careful" the voice said with a chuckle before picking me up, I then saw his face, it was John. already this strong. however he made me fall asleep again.

after a while I woke up outside the Dragon Continent. Father was being melted out by John, I tried my hardest to get up and walked over to him, I was going to get a proper goodbye at least. "John" I said in an angry voice, he then stood like a statue and father just continued to thaw himself out.

"Yes Kate?" John asked slowly turning around to see me. then was surprised. I was crying and angry, he decided he would just leave for a year after we only just met again and kissed. I would not except him just leaving without a proper goodbye. I walked over to him, grabbed him and hugged him tightly, he was shocked to say the least.

"If you thought you could Just leave for a year without a proper goodbye then you have another thing coming" I said hugging him even tighter, he then hugged me back, after father thawed himself out of the Ice he got up and waited for us to finish, I then started to ease my grip, before we left this time it was John who kissed me, he then smiled.

"I never thought that at all. I just never planed for that day to go the way it did however I am happy it did. goodbye" John said with a smile before vanishing from sight. father then walked over to me and we teleported back to see Michael using a lot of energy. he looked exhausted.

"next time just walk if you want to spend that long looking for someone" Michael said with near no Mana left.

"sorry, however it is all sorted now, right Kate?" father said with an annoying grin. I turned away while blushing. then I realised that I was supposed to have classes today and then walked in to find I missed them. John is getting stronger while I am not, this wont do, I swear if it is the last thing I do I will be stronger then John when he returns. and then I will burn him into the ground.

(the next day)

"Kate and John officially lovers! pictures of them kissing are now the default picture shown on all computer screens" father was saying throughout the academy intercom. I will Burn him into dust then Freeze him solid when I find father.

Chapter 23 - Dragon Hunt

John hunts down the remaining dragons, how will he fare against the 3 dragons. will it be easy like fighting the basic dragon, or will he encounter a dragon he can not beat.
