《Limit Break》Chapter 8: Hunted

“Ahhh. Get off me!”
A lady in the middle of the Training Hall was being harassed by a fat man. The fat man was hugging (which might also be considered wrestling) with the small woman. Of course the woman used all her power to separate herself from him, however it was all in vain.
The lady must have been level 10 or so because she has already obtained her class. She was wearing a white and gold robe and a staff meaning that she was a healer of some sorts.
The man itself was fully armed with silver gear, a couple tires above mine. The man was probably the same level as the lady because he had more strength than her. So the chances of me actually helping the woman was small; however, I can’t just stand by and watch this unfold with my own eyes.
I can still remember that incident in my head...
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was during my earlier years of middle school. A girl in my class was extraordinary pretty, she was obviously an easy 9/10 in our young minds. This beautiful princess of the school was Tiff. She was known to be one of the best academic students as well so she was up on the leaderboards. One day when I was walking with her, a bunch of highschool students stopped us. They wanted to stoop low and grab this beauty few grade levels below them, so they grabbed her. They pushed me out in the side and told me to scram. All I could do then was stand there and just watch them drag her away. They dragged her far away without me seeing them; but I knew what they were going to do to her. The next couple of days I couldn’t seemed to find her, until a month later. I later on discovered why she wasn’t attending school anymore, she had been too busy with her ‘family’.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I blamed everything that happened on myself, I always told myself I could have done something. I could have done something to prevent the outcome. I could have tried; but, I did nothing. I was only able to stand there dazed.
I can’t have this happen to the lady in front of me, I should help her out. She doesn’t deserve to go through something like this. Even if the man was a few levels above me, I should try to do something.
Making up my mind, I used Bo-Bup and I appeared in front of the man, then used Baek Rok to send him flying.
“Kid. Do you have a death wish or something?” the fat man unsheathed his two-handed sword.
He came rushing for me, which made it easier for me to land my Baekdu right in his chest. While he staggers backwards from my blow, he raises his sword to guard. However, that didn’t work because after using Bo-Bup to go on the right of him and I immediately used Hoe Hook; fully destroying the defenses he brought up. As his guard was down I performed a Spinning Top Kick right on his temple making him fall on the ground. The fat man was out cold, drooling right on the ground of the Training Hall.

The whole building itself was quiet, until…
*Pakkkkk*
There was a huge red imprint on left of my check.

“Stay away from him!” the woman yelled as she kicked me right on my children, bringing me to my knees. “I don’t want to ever see you again!”
She rushed to the fallen man, attempting to heal him. I was just there shocked out of my mind, I thought I was helping the woman in need.
“I fucking don’t understand women,” I thought to myself. Women are just hard to comprehend. I try to help them but all they do is just hurt me instead. Yeah, maybe I was just butting in their own dispute but can she at least see that I was trying to help her out?
After walking out of the Training Hall, I was blown away from my feet. As I flew upwards towards the sky, someone latched onto me and began to carry me. I open my eyes to find myself up in the sky, with 4 black robed individuals holding me up from all of my limbs. As we flew outside of the boundaries of the town, I found myself falling down to my doom hitting multiple branches along the way.

The robed group slowly came flying down.
“How does that feel Lewis?”
“How do you even know my name?” I asked as I try to get up.
“This is what you get for humiliating me at school. You should really know your place.”
“Andrew? Is that you?”
As the kick came flying into my face my entire body flew and hit a near by tree, breaking the tree in half.
You have received 37 damage.
“You should bow down to me now,” Andrew began to laugh.
After collecting myself and discovered something.
“Why am I not dead?” as I touch my entire body to find myself without any injury.
I looked at my HP bar.
Health: 30% HP
“It wouldn’t be fun if we instantly kill you. So were just going to continue to torture you” one of the other robed person stated.
The farthest robed had his/her hands up meaning that he/she was the healer of the group. This person is a very experienced healer considering that I’m being healed fairly quickly.
I look at my HP bar again.
Health: 74% HP
The other 3 robed people brought out their weapons now.
“Time to make this more entertaining. Don’t even think about logging out. There is something called Combat Tag it won’t let you log out until you leave combat for a certain amount of time.”
Fuck this shit, I’m dippin’ out of here, I literally ran for the hills. I checked how long I need to escape from the Combat Tag mechanic.
“Gear Log Out!”
Combat Tagged: 4:56:37 left until Logout option available.
Fuck. Holy Shit. How the fuck can I survive 5 whole minutes without even getting a scratch on me.
As I run farther up the mountain arrows began to fly past me. After a rain of arrows fireballs as large as textbooks came flying at me.
They have a fucking archer and mage, the possibility for me to escape just decreased.
I turned my head to see how far apart we were.

FUCKING SHIT! THEY HAVE FUCKING MOUNTS!
The archer, healer, and Andrew the warrior were riding on horses while the mage was flying on a yellow cloud. The gap between me and them were lessening very quickly.
Ok. Lewis. Chill calm down. Each challenge has it’s own solution.
“Gear Log Out!” I said calmly.
Combat Tagged: 3:48:54 left until Logout option available.
I have about 3 and half more minutes of escaping. I began to search around the area for any terrain with a lot of cover. If I can’t run away from them, the only solution would have for me to dodge every attack. As I scanned the area, I found an area filled with boulders and trees and began to run towards that direction.
“We have a hunter with the skill Tracking so don’t even try playing hide and seek with us,” Andrew yelled at me.
The rain of fireballs and arrows stopped.
What are they trying to do now?
Suddenly, an arrow passed my head a few inches away. As the arrow hit the ground, the ground turned into ice.
Holy shit. Holy fucking shit.
Then multiple magic circles appeared along my path and fire erupted out of no where.
HOLY FUCKING SHITS OF ALL SHITS!
What made it even worse is that some of the magic circles appeared in mid air aiming vertically.
“GEAR LOG ME THE SHIT OUT!”
Combat Tagged: 2:15:43 left until Logout option available.
I finally arrived at the area filled with boulders and trees, straight away I jumped behind a huge boulder. This should save me a bit of time before they find me.
Ok. Time to think of a plan. I can’t fight them head on, so the element of surprise is in my favor because they would think that only a retard would fight them head on. If I just take out the healer out of the equation, I should be able to die easily from the others without my health being healed. Wait, that wouldn’t work. The healer probably has his/her own defenses to block out attacks.
As I came to that conclusion a spike came out of no where near my children.
Ok. New plan. Fucking run farther.
“Gear Log Out!”
Combat Tagged: 1:43:24 left until Logout option available.
1 minute and a half left until I can logout.
That in mind, an arrow just grazed my right arm.
You have received 57 damage. You have been affected by Frost.
-5% AgilityYou right arm is now immobilized
HOLY FUCKING SHIT! THE FUCKING TIMER RESETS!
Right now I need to think of a plan. A plan that doesn’t result in me being tortured by Andrew.
After running in the same direction for about less than 1 minute.
*Shhhhhhhhhhhhh*
It was the sound of rushing water. It wasn’t just a sound of a river, it was the sound of a waterfall. If there was a hope of me escaping, then this waterfall is my ticket to freedom.
I ran much slower now compared to before being shot with that frost arrow. I was panting like crazy; both my legs were dead tired and pain began to occur in my throat. However, this won’t be as painful as the treatment Andrew is going to do to me. Even if I stand up against him, he’s just too well equiped and possibly even 5x my level.
The sound of rushing water became louder.
The louder the sound of the rushing water echoed in my ear, the more pain I felt in my legs. I turn my head, they were even faster now. It seemed that Andrew and his possy figured out my plan and stopped playing around.
I was nearing the cliff of the waterfall, the sound of falling water hitting the rocks down below entered my ear. It’s already too late for me to chicken out.
I jumped.
The mage on the yellow cloud flew towards me in an insane speed. Reaching closer and closer as I continue to fall, reaching his/her hands towards me.
“Fuck you bitch!” I yelled at the mage's face.
I inserted my hand into the bottomless sack with the image of the journal in my head.
“Ain’t going to fucking touch this! You fucking bitch!”
I threw the journal right into the face the mage.
With the impact of the journal to the mage’s face, the mage fell off his/her mount. Which made the mage free fall with me.
“Look at the bright side. I won’t die alone,” I told myself.
My entire body hit the water. The feeling of razor blades and a burning sensation occurred.
You have died to fall damage.
Level and Skill Experience will be deducted.
Would you like to respawn?YesNo
After pressing yes, I found myself inside a church.
