Pinned Comment (Melena): It has come to my attention that I missed a bit of information. Read this comment if you wish to know why your Skills take a very long time to Level now.

Originally, there was a Skill Level Total maximum which you could not surpass. Any Skill experience you got would be wasted. Now, the Skill Level Total Maximum allows you to surpass it, but while losing a significant portion of the experience you gain. The Skill Level Total maximum is equal to 75+125*(your level). Once your Total Skill Level passes the maximum, all Skill experience you get is reduced, through a currently unknown equation.

The exact formula seems to be different for each individual person, but it seems to exponentially scale downward. While we have much information, it is very much still being processed. Once the rest of my System research group moves to this world, we should be able to figure it out significantly faster with these computers and amazing calculators.

Finally, having too high of a Total Skill Level is deadly. It causes your soul to expand and eventually explode explode. If you start feeling sick after you gain a Skill Level, do not continue to gain Skill Levels until you Level up. You will die without any more warning than that ill feeling.

Melena: No Skill is the best. For short-range damage, Exponential Burst Rush is the best if you don't care about not being able to fight after killing one thing. For Health Regeneration, Vital Being is the best right now. There is no one Skill that is better than all others at everything.

Melena: You would be surprised how low the number is given how long I've lived. As with revealing Stat amounts, this is not information you should make public.

Melena: The originator of the Path system Skill is long dead, so we cannot ask them their thoughts on why they tied the two together.

Comment: how many skills should You Have for each path you complete?

Melena: I do not understand. If you mean how many Skills you should gain PP from to complete Paths, then you should Level all the Skills you use and/or plan to use in the future while you're working toward completing a Path.

Comment: Before the skill level total was a soft cap, could you go over the cap by gaining a new skill?

Melena: Yes, but it could not gain experience, just like every other Skill.
