《The Lolicoknight》Loyalty Explains - Stats

Melena wasn't certain she'd set everything up correctly, but as long as it worked, it would do. She pressed the left button on the device called a mouse while the so called cursor was over the button labeled record.
With that, she stepped back a bit. "While I may not be the most qualified to talk about this," she said looking at the device called a camera. Degritone's world is so fascinating, she thought as she continued, "as that would be either the Patron of Learning or Patron of Teaching, I am here today not as the Patron of Loyalty, but as a teacher."
She paused, pulled the cap off her marker, and rapidly wrote "Lesson 1 - Stats" on a white board behind her. To the camera, she was a blur for 2 frames. "Today, I shall teach you about the stats. I am not the greatest teacher, especially if we include those not originating from your world, but I hope to at least get the raw information to those who are better suited to teaching. First up-"
She wrote "Strength" on the board below the title and said, "-Strength. This stat is usually overvalued by those just joining the System, and undervalued by those who know about the accepted builds, without knowing about the specifics of those builds. In almost all cases, damage is based on the Strength stat. There are some notable exceptions, the first coming to my mind being the Skill Acidic Blood.
"Now, while the specifics of how Strength is applied in individual Skill damage calculations vary, it should be noted that it's almost always a flat addition to damage, after some multiplier. In some cases, it is a multiplier of the damage in and of itself. In the rarest case, having exactly one known example in the Skill Exponential Burst Rush, it is used as an exponent in the damage equation.
"Excluding its use in Skill damage calculations, it is also used to determine how much force the muscles of a body can exert. This is applied on a the muscle level, not to individual muscle fibers or to the whole body at once. Specifically, the calculation for this is the following," she said before blurring once more. After another 2 frames, "Strength^log_50(10)*25*2^log(2.5)" was written on the board. "You would not believe how hard it was to determine this fact without your fancy calculators. The units are close to pounds. My phrasing here may seem odd, but I'll talk more on that when I talk about translations, as that's a whole topic in and of itself."
"It has one final use alongside Agility in the non-Skill damage calculations, such as those from weapons and body parts, but I will talk about that when we get to Agility. I have noticed that these videos are capable of being paused, so I will erase the equation from the white board in a 2 seconds and move on to Endurance," she said before capping her marker and grabbing an eraser.

Exactly 2 seconds from when she finished her last sentence, she erased both the equation and "Strength" from the board, replacing them with "Endurance." "Endurance is interesting for the fact that is has the most known uses by the System. It is used for maximum Health, Mana, and Stamina; it reduces aging; and increases your resistance to non-System-originating Status Effects, such as concussions.
"You should all already know the formula for maximum resource pools. If you do not, open your Status and press your finger against your maximums of each resource pool. For aging, it is quite simple," she said before writing "Aging speed = (1-Endurance/1000) X per X experienced" on the board. "Each point in endurance is simply 0.1% less aging that occurs. Once again, units are an odd, but entirely irrelevant in this case, situation under the System. In this case, it could be second per second, minute per minute, year per year, or any other unit of time per the same unit of time.
"Next up is the resistance to non-System-originating Status Effects," she said before writing, "Duration = (normal duration)*(1-Endurance/(Endurance+1000))" and "Application difficulty = (normal difficulty)*(1+log_1000(Endurance))" on the board. "Duration should be self-explanatory, but 'application difficulty' may be a little confusing. This is the normal amount of trauma the body must experience to obtain the Status Effect.
"Broken bones, skin, and similar things are entirely dictated by Health, but things such as concussions, lightheadedness, pain, and even hunger and thirst are dictated by Endurance. As such, units are impossible to ascribe in a general sense, but on a case-by-case basis, it would be possible, if unnecessarily exhaustive for these videos. Once again, I'll give you 2 more seconds to see the equations before moving on to Vitality."
After transitioning to Vitality, she said, "Vitality governs resource Regenerations and how fast your body regrows from dismemberment. Once again, if you don't know the equations for your resource Regenerations, you can simply press your finger against your Regenerations on your Status. As for bodily regrowth, the equation is tricky and may even still be incorrect due to factoring in both current and maximum Health, as well as Health Regeneration, in addition to Vitality. At the moment our most accurate equation for regrowth speed is the following."
She wrote "((maximum Health)-(current Health))/(Health Regeneration)*(1-Vitality/(Vitality+725*2^log_3(7)))" on the board. "The units for this equation are close to seconds. Interestingly, Vitality has almost no direct effect on bodily regrowth speed while having a very large impact in the indirect form of Health Regeneration. 2 seconds until I move to Agility."
"So, Agility. Undervalued by those new to the System, overvalued by most of who have been with the system for a long time, and yet again undervalued by those who have begun to understand why the common builds are made the way they are. Agility plays a part in non-Skill damage calculations alongside Strength and also governs how fast you can move, both yourself and manipulated energies. The latter is actually the primary reason Agility is important."

She wrote "Non-Skill damage = Strength*log_17(Agility^2)" and "Speed = Agility*0.4" on the board. "Interestingly, your world actually has a unit that exactly matches what we've managed to derive as the primary unit of speed: Feet per second. Your foot-derived units aren't exactly equal to the System's length units, and your seconds aren't exactly equal to the System's time units, but the differences manage to cancel out exactly. 2 seconds and I move on to Physical and Magic."
"These two are simple. They have almost identical non-obvious uses. They simply increase your effective Stats when relevant for all non-Skill uses, excluding aging speed reduction, by 5% when the non-Skill application of the stat is used. They are derived by being equal to 10 plus the total effective level of your Physical or Magic Skills. I'll talk more in-depth on that when I talk about Skills.
"All the Stats that appear in your resource calculations are self-explanatory, as they only ever appear in those calculations, except in the exceptionally rare Skill. Finally, I'll talk about Experience because I do not believe this requires its own video, and this topic is similar enough in nature."
"The Experience you gain has 3 factors going into it: The highest Level among those that helped defeat the experience source, the Level of the experience source, and the number of allies that directly aided in the defeat of the experience source. Despite its simplicity in explanation, it is quite a messy equation." With that, she wrote "L = (source Level)-(highest allied Level)" and "experience = round(((source Level)*100*2^((L)*(1+1.1265^-(L+1.265^(L^3)))/10))*((number of allies)*55+45)/((number of allies)*100))" on the board.
"This was literally impossible to figure out until the - now second - most technologically advanced world was introduced to the System. While bodily regeneration may seem easier to figure out, and you may look at this and wonder how we managed to figure this out at all while we still haven't figured out bodily regeneration, it's because bodily regeneration time constantly changes as you regenerate Health and it's not easy keeping someone at exactly the same amount of health to test it. And has arguable ethics. Not that that's ever stopped Learning. This wild Experience calculation at least has the properties of being easy to measure and being a static number."
As she finished, she sat there for a few seconds before nodding to herself and saying, "I believe that is all for this video. If you have any questions, I'll try to remember to look at the comments. This Earth technology is still new to me. Next video should be Skills, unless someone brings up a good question, or many people ask the same thing." She then walked to the computer and clicked the stop recording button.
She then took her new laptop, being overly gentle with it, and went to a restaurant with free Wi-Fi to upload it to her new YouTube channel, Patron of Loyalty. While it was uploading, she searched the internet - something Learning would have died to obtain - for if the people of the world had found a way to put videos in the System's messaging system. Apparently an entity called Google had created an enchanting array that could interact with the System on a fundamental enough level to allow simply posting the link to the video to work.
After searching their location, she teleported to the location then shot the Patron of Enchanting a message about this fact. Very shortly after, he appeared, said, "Thank you," and walked into Google's headquarters.
Before he was out of ear shot, she said, "You're welcome," then teleported back to her laptop. Once the upload was done, she sent Degritone the video.
Degritone: What? How? Watching now.
Melena: The company called Google managed to teach themselves enough about enchanting that, at least in one aspect, they know more about enchanting than the Patron of Enchanting himself.
She didn't hear from Degritone until he'd finished watching the video.
Degritone: Naisu~~ I loved it~~ Would you like some constructive criticism?
Melena: As I am new to this, it would very much help.
Degritone: You should probably get a better microphone. Also, the equations almost went off the bottom of the screen and the camera was pointing a lot too far to the left, so half your body was off screen half the time. Still nice to see a little cutie, though~~
Degritone: You should watch a couple of videos from 3Blue1Brown, Numberphile, BlackPenRedPen, Mathologer, and PBS Space Time to get a general idea of the quality range you should be aiming for. Obviously, put your own flare into it, like you could intentionally be halfway off screen half the time or something, but some people straight up will refuse to watch videos by people with bad microphones.
Degritone: Also, of course it was Google. I should have asked "who," or maybe just thought for 4 seconds, but blah. I always used Sony Vegas to edit my stuff, which I didn't do very much of, if you want to get some editing software. You could also just find someone to hire to do it.
Melena: I will take all of that into consideration, thank you.
