Chapter 12
The Rush to Yal’gra
It's been over week since they escaped the coliseum prison. So far they have not had a single sign of anyone pursuing them. Reku was sure by now they should of had some sign of people coming after them. No country would let that many soldiers be killed without backlash of someshort.
The sign of no pursuer made Reku even more worried. What was the country planning to do. Did they send a message ahead of time and them waiting somewhere up ahead. It could even be another type of trap waiting up ahead. Whatever it was the country was planning. It would was definitely nothing good.
Some people would occasionally mention. That there could be a chance that no one was coming after them. Which Reku knew was terrible way of thinking. It was no good to get complacent. It is best to always prepare for the worse case scenario.
Since the week long journey to Yal’gra. Serval of the wounded personnel that had minor wounds. Were healed well enough to help out others that needed it. As there were not enough people with the ability to heal others. Even though Reku still had documents on how to make healing items. He didn’t get a chance to go back to the alchemy shop to pick up all the supplies he bought.
On top of everything he didn’t know enough on how to make the healing items. All Reku knew was the ingredients to make the potions. If mixed wrong the potions could become poisonous. Instead of healing the wounded the potion would instead poison the one taken.
Reku knew he had little experience in this world. He had only been in this world for little over a month. There was just to much about this world he still need to learn. Just how long would he be stuck in this world.
This world was completely fantasy based. Somehow this world progressed on a different path. While in his world science and machines dominated the world. Yet, in this world magic and abilities ruled the world. While in his world there was only a few intelligent races throughout history. Yet they were all races that evolved into the homo sapiens. Lastly in this world the number of intelligent species in his world was countlessly and unimaginable. From monsters to humanoid creatures.
Reku was little excited knowing the number of creatures in this world. The difference in the worlds was completely different from what he knew. On top of everything in this world just about anything seemed to be possible. With everything this world had to offer. If the races didn’t discriminate against each other. They could possible do so much more to improve everyone's way of life.
While Reku was lost in thought walking next to the wounded cart. Looking over he seen the still unconscious Wolf fang. Even though we was simple knocked out and should of woken up after a few hours. Yet, even after a week the elder werewolf was still unconscious and laying on the cart. Only thing that came to his mind was. That Wolf fang must of used more energy or hurt more internally. Then it looked like from the outside.
Hopefully soon Wolf fang will get better or wake up. As a leading head of the inhumans and a expert warrior. There was a great need to have him get well soon as possible. Since they left only a few people have left the group. Some went to look for the love ones. While a few others went back to look for others of their race.

Walking up next to Reku was the Virdil. The elf who taught him how to examine and find a easier way to get crucial info on the enemies. The only thing that didn’t make much since was the level based states. It didn’t seem that one's Level really meant much when going against an enemy. Maybe the numbers could make up the big difference in levels. It was something Reku knew he would have to work and try to figure out more about it.
Virdil seeing the look on Reku face. While walking next to him. He could tell that there was a few things that were bothering Reku. From what they learned in the underground cavern. This man was summoned to this world against his will. On top of all that he had only been in this world for a short bit of time. There was just to much info the kid just didn’t know.
What he knew was as someone that was summoned to this world. This man in front of him would have an ability. To change the worlds fate. It was impossible to know what was in store for this world.
While walking Virdil thought it be a good chance. To see if Reku wanted to know anything about this world. Any info he wanted to know. There had to be something to make living in this world easier. How many years would he be stuck in this world. That only counted if he could survive long enough. Just cause he was summoned to the world and had great pertuention. If he could not adapt to the world. He would meet death's door before long.
One had to take things into one's own hands. You could never wait for another to fix something for you. That is one thing most knew in this world. Where inhumans and beastkin are looked down upon by the human race. Even though the human race is considered to be one of the weakest. The human race was one of the very few races. That had an ability to populate there numbers in large numbers in a short amount of time. Within just a few thousand years the human race outnumbered all the others races combined.
A race that relied on other races during them times. Slowly started to grow and think of themselves as better than the other races. That the other races should either serve them or simply be wiped out. Yet, even though some of the other races helped the humans. Since there life spans were much less than the others. The kindness some races shown was forgotten. Instead the humans slowly started to think of themselves better.
As with other races like the elves who lifespans could almost be immortal. As long as they were not killed by some unforeseen force. Which could range from poison to some godly event. The elves could literally live for a few millennium before they died of naturally old age. While humans could live for around hundred years. Most of the other races lived only around two to five centenaries.
Some races had a lot of hatred for each other. For instance the dark elves and wood elves had complete hatred for each others. While some races were just considered mortal enemies like the demons and angles. Who’s gods or deities before even created there races. Were at each other's throats at every turn. When they created there races to worship them. The two races seemed to have the fight each other. Just like there gods they were created after did.
After Virdil mind finished running on it path. He turned to Reku and simply asked him. If there was anything he wanted to know about the world. To help make things as easy as possible for him in the future. Listening to what Virdil asked it really only brought up two things. That he wanted to try to know for now. Just possible virdil could have the information he wanted to know.

With this in mind Reku answered in a gentle questioning tone. “ Well i really only got two things for now. That i like to try to know if you could answer. First is once i put mana into my eyes to get information on people.
It shows that people have different levels. Even so i noticed in the fight in the underground prison. We were escaping from people had all all kinds of major differences in level. Somehow the one who had lower level. Could still put up a fight against someone with a higher level. The main question that came to mind was. Did someones level have no meaning?”
Listening to what Reku said. Vindil replied in a questionable tone. “ I am not completely sure what this level means. It could be fighting experience of someone experience. Normally when someone scans the enemy for information. They get info like there race, age, weakness and strength. As a summoned person to be a hero. You may be able to get more information than the average person who learns to use the ability.”
Listening to what Vindil said didn’t make much since. As it was an office or defence ability. Being used by different people he could see the difference in skill. Yet this was just a simple way to read another information. So how could he see more info on someone. Then someone who had been using the ability and known about it longer. After all it seemed to be a basic observation ability.
Yet to Reku he just felt like there should be more to it. There must be another reason for the level showing. Seemed he would not find out the information he wanted to know. Showed not everything would be so easy to get the info.
Reku knew he couldn’t just keep going on with finding things out last minute or after the fact. On a lot of factors he should try to find a place of information like a library. At least something close to as possible to one. That way he could try to get as much information about this world. While learning the best way to survive.
After all there was literally no way to know everything he should ask. If he didn’t watch what he said could also lead to issues later on. This was a world were fantasy was reality. One thing he knew he had to keep in mind. Was very simply just because he thought something may not be possible. Didn’t quite mean that was true it was a new world and a new world brought new possibilities.
Reku noticing he once again got lost in his own thoughts in the middle of the conversation. He was about to get ready to ask Vindil. The only other thing on his mind. When large screams started to come from behind the cavern.
Vindil and Reku hearing the screams quickly turned around. To see the what the commotion was about. The scene that they were saw next was horrific. The sky was covered black. From the large number of arrows that were shot from the distance. Blocking all light from breaking thru the cloud of arrows. That was raining down on the convoy and hundreds of inhumans, beastkin and few humans.
Once the first few arrows hit the ground. It took a few moments before the people in the near the back. Where the arrows were landing to comprehend. What exactly was going on. It was not really till the first person was struck with one of the arrows. Did it truly come to a relation that the cavern was under attack.
Even though they knew there was a chance that they be under attack. Wolf Fang and Kami noting the number of enemies surrounding them. Kami biting his lip knowing there was little chance. For the large gathering to make it to the border. Specially without some staying behind holding off as many as possible.
The wounded and youngest were being rushed to the border some being helped by others. The more senior veteran warriors gathered together. Grabbing their weapons and started to head toward the Edeon army. Wolf Fang and giant manticore was leading the group of veteran warriors. To meet the overwhelming army rushing toward them.
The number of the inhumans going to hold off the inhumans was close to a hundred strong. While the Edeon army was standing close to five thousand or more trained soldiers. seeing the large army in front of them. Being close to ten times the size of theirs. Matter how strong inhumans could be. Even if there level was much higher than the others. A army so large and with so many soldiers. Could still defeat others that is smaller but with larger strength it would be difficult to win. There was still a good chance they could win. Yet, the odds would be against them in the fight.
The ones who could fight would at least be able to try to hold off the incoming enemies. While the ones who were unable to fight. Could rush to the last little distance to the border of Yal’gra. Drawing the lotus sword Asi from its strangely shaped sheath hanging from his side. Reku was preparing for another fight for his life. It has felt like the world was truly ruthless. Fighting for one's life every time he turned around.
Now Reku new the situation they were in was very dangerous. Yet, the only thing that he could think of was he needed to hold off the enemies behind him. There was a plan in place. Reku knew the leaders of the group would help lead those escaping away. The main thing now was to hold off the enemy as much as possible.
The first issue would be to get close enough to the enemy. Where the arrows that were raining down could no longer affect them. While allowing Reku to counter attack. Of all the people who would help in defending against the army behind them. How many of the offense inhumans could get past the arrows raining down without being killed.
Willing running toward the arrows raining down. Reku spotted a bronze shield on the ground. Near a fallen human prisoner. Who likely helped fight along everyone else to escape the underground prison. An arrow was sticking out of the man's back. Looked like he was one of the first taken down without any warning from the first arrows.
Reku raised the shield up in the air to help block the incoming arrows. Everytime a arrow hit the shield it sent a numbifing wave threw is arm. Out of the dozens of arrows coming down on top of him at a time. A few would make it threw to graze Reku legs or arms but since must had a flames engulfing the tip of the arrows. The ones that did hit him also ended up leaving a slight burn damage behind him. Which helped seal the cuts as they conquered.
Each time a arrow cut him the feeling of knife cutting flesh. With every cut a burning sensation followed shortly after. With every arrow that cut him. Reku seemed to cut the distance from the army in leaps in bounds. Reku never seemed to run so fast in his life. Seemed every step he took got him dozens of yards closers to the enemy. The closer he got to the enemy line. The less arrows seemed to rain down on top of him.
Moments before Reku was on top of the enemy line. A creature of bright gold fur zipped past him. Raising its sharp claws that seemed to cut thru hand full of soldiers in a moments notice. There armour seemed tear to shreds like it was nothing more than flesh. The swords and spears that hit the lion like creatures golden colored hide. Shattered like there weapons were made of glass.
Seeing the scene in front of him Reku allowed the mana to circulate through his eye. Which was starting to become second nature to him. Reku could read the creatures type like the times he did in the coliseum.
Race:Nemean Lion
Element power: Earth
Age: 47
Level:36
Mana: 500
Health:10000
Strengths: Physical skin strong as steel
Weakness: Weakness is the inside of its mouth and body is verticable and unable to protect against attacks.
Nemean lion seemed to have strong defence. Might been the reason why the arrows and spears did no damage. Yet the information get gets from scanning his enemies seemed to change every now and then. At first it was just elemental information. Now it seemed to bluntly tell him that it be difficult to defeat such a creature. Reku had a small smile cross his mouth. As he was simply happy the creature was fighting on their side and not the enemies.
