Yen trots back to the dorm room to return to Ai. He walks in and sees that Ai is still sleeping peacefully.

Yen: [Phew] “It seems that she didn’t suspect anything.”

Yen climbs onto the bed and sits next to her.

Yen: “Ai… if you don’t wake up you might be late for breakfast.”

Ai: “Mn?”

Ai wakes up sluggishly and looks over at Yen.

Ai: “Hi Yen. When did you come back?”

Yen: “I just got back. Anything happen last night?”

Ai: “Mmm Freddie and I just talked a bit then we went to sleep.”

Yen: “I see.”

Yen looks around the room.

Yen: “It seems that Frederica has already gone down for breakfast. We should go too.”

Ai: “Okay.”

Ai quickly gets dressed and they go to the dining hall.

Yen: “I think that is Frederica over there. Let’s get our food and go over.”

Ai: “Okay.”

Ai and Yen get their food and then move over to Frederica to sit down. Frederica looks at them in surprise.

Frederica: “Oh? I was going to get you some food since you fell asleep pretty late last night without Yen near you.”

Yen looks over at a slightly sweating Ai.

Yen: “I thought that you said that there were no problems last night?”

Ai: “um… I was worried without you to hug…”

Yen: “…” [Well… I am a plushie.]

Ai: “mmuur… Freddie why did you have to tell him?”

Ai whines to Frederica but quiets after she hears that the whole dining hall had fallen silent and sees that Frederica is staring at Yen with eyes wide open and mouth slightly ajar.

Ai: “Hm? What’s wrong?”

At Ai’s query, Frederica starts and jumps up almost knocking her chair into the students sitting behind her.

Frederica: “Come with me you too Yen.”

Ai: “Hm? Okay.”

Ai’s hand is grabbed by Frederica and they move back to their room.

Ai: “What is wrong Frederica?”

Frederica: “Do you know what just happened?”

Ai: “No. That is why I’m asking you.”

Frederica: “Do. You. Know. What. Just. Happened.”

Yen: [No… she just said she didn’t…]

Ai: “Tell me?”

Frederica takes a few deep breaths and spoke in a low voice.

Frederica: “I could understand what Yen was saying.”

Ai: “Hm? Is that impressive?”

Yen: [Hm? How is that?] “I’m pretty sure that you and Laia should be the only ones that understand me.”

Ai: “Ohhhh.”

Frederica: “Yeah so what the flip changed?!”

Frederica starts flipping out about the current situation when Mist flies into the room.

Mist: “Hm? Yen did something happen last night? The contract was flickering on and off last night. Even though that only happens when the contractor is close to dieing.”

Now it was Yen’s turn to start sweating (Again. Cats do not actually sweat).

Ai: “What is this about Yen? What were you doing last night?”

Ai sported a smile on her face but the aura she released was certainly far from warm.

Yen: “Ugh…” [Craaaaaaap]
