The gate opened and Mari stepped inside. As they entered the manor they were greeted by a tall beautiful man in a white doctor's gown. His face lustrous and flowing, behind his ears were a fan of white feathers protruding to the back. And on the bridge of his nose sat a pair of rectangular glasses.
Mari: Master Elegance I have brought the specimen and another unkown entity for you.
Elegance: I am very excited! Just like when I was just a wee little swan chick. I got to research my first PHOENIX!
He then proceeded to make an awkward pose. Standing on one leg with his arms spread like wings. To which Mari only stared emotionlessly.
Elegance: It really is hard to get a reaction from you.
Mari: Sir, I am a M.A.R.I. unit. Emotions are a hindrance to logical choices during a mission. Yet, I still long for that which makes a person.

World Step (Rewrite)
This is a rewrite of my story World Step. Though, in reality, this is my first serious draft. The shadows grow deeper on the planet of Whorrl even as a dark, and ancient ritual takes place within the depths of The Abyssal Mouth—a chasm of both fortune and calamity. The story follows Quintin, a Grandmaster Martial Artist from Earth, as unforeseen elements conspire against him from the depths of space. *No Harem *Strong MC, but by no means does he go through enemies without injury or at least learning something. *Throw on [Horror], and possibly [Psychological] elements. *Dark Fantasy with some [Grimdark] leanings. Notes: this will be a place where I endeavor to rewrite and fix issues. With that in mind, expect revisions, edits, and other things of that nature.

Currently, there are no plans to include overly-graphic depictions of sexual content, though that doesn't preclude sex or the mention of sex in the story.

The year is 1039 of Autorm, and nothing has changed. The Knight Seekers still patrol the old highways, death is common in life, and justice is but an afterthought. The story revolves mainly around the adventure of two characters. Leondre vae Marras, the fourth son of a Marquis. A prodigy in the Royal Military Academy, and aspiring Knight-errant. Albeit he's still a teenager, naive, and also inexperienced with the outside world. He is also one of the few knights to take the code of Chivalry seriously. Then there's Cendric Forrester, the bastard of a decorated Knight. Sold off in servitude to the Order of the Knights Seeker, to unwillingly pay his mothers debt. He's tired of being the Orders pet hound. Ruthless to those standing in his way, and disillusioned with Chivalry and the world around him. Cendric is a survivor, and firmly believes one should have their own self interests in mind. Two opposites of a coin, the only thing they have in common besides their ire for each other is blood. They're cousins surprisingly, not that it really matters.
