[okay guys, after a long thinking I am making the ranking system for strength smaller and much more easier to comprehend so it’s going to be like this; Rank 1-9 is now called Elemental Realm, Saint(coloured) is going to be called Saint Realm, Celestial would be called (Celestial Realm) and King would be called Sovereign Realm)
Well that’s it so here’s the chapter!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Walking down the mountain I didn’t see anything out of the ordinary; a few hours of walking I saw a town within my eye sight. My first thought is a run-down abandoned village. As I walk through the streets of this village all I can hear is silence. The silence flew like calm winds I thought.
Right this moment I heard a loud low creaking sound of two woods colliding to each other in my right side. I instinctively stared at the door where the sound was coming from. Until I heard a few more of the doors creaking until all the doors opened and at least two people came out on each door.
I inspected their power and the aura I instantly figured out they’re only Elemental Realm ranks, one of them is peaked of the Elemental and is going to reach Saint Realm in a few years I guessed. But luckily for me I already reached Saint Realm peak after I left master’s house. I guess they’re in bad luck I said while sighing.
I quickly took out my sword that is still sheathed and pointed out at the peak elemental and said
“Leave, I don’t want to hurt anyone” I said trying to avoid the fighting.
“Hurt us?” One of the bandits behind the peak elemental said
Right at this second the few dozen bandits laughed out loud.
Then the peak elemental rose his right hand up in the air and all the bandits quickly silenced. The man began to walk in front of me. What I saw was a long black hair with a big scar crossed in his face. The man has a toned body and is about 6’1” in height.
The man spoke and said “Leave all your belongings here and maybe we won’t kill you but I can’t promise on not touching your body” The man said while licking his lips.
Here I thought his going to say something cool, I sighed in disappointment and said

“So be it, death it is” I said with a dark sinister voice. Because my voice was so sinister and dark some of the bandit quickly took their swords out.
The man quickly laughs and took out his sword. When I saw his sword it is [email protected]#$*&^ huge! Right as I saw the It i quickly ran away. The man noticed me and quickly chase and the other bandits with them.
Good thing I am fast so I quickly hid through a tree when they thought I went straight so most of them followed. So I went back to the town to leave because I couldn’t risk being lost. In my unlucky time there were 4 bandits just there standing guard right as they saw me one of them said
“Hah! We found you now we’re going to kill y…” I blinked towards them and quickly knocked all four of them unconscious and ran away.
I sighed looking back I really thought I wouldn’t have to use any kind of strength to force them leave me alone. I can’t be the same as from before I said.
I quickly recalled 1 year after I met master he suddenly told me what really happened to my brother. Master told me he saw my brother unsheathing his sword almost stabbing me in the side when he found us. When he saw that he got mad and quickly took away the sword from him. My brother seeing master as a strong expert ran away from fear but before he did he said while shouting “WHY WONT HE JUST DIE HE IS A DISGRACE FOR OUR FAMILY AND HE ALWAYS GETS THE MOST ATTENTION FROM MOTHER JUST UNFAIR!” and Hunter added “ I had a great plan damnit!” and ran away through the woods.
Master wanted to go after him but he saw me laying there dying so he took me back to his house and treated me.
After hearing these accusations I couldn’t believe it and some kind of thing happened to me, I blew up half of the field from anger. Good thing we weren’t in the house that time. My master told me he has never seen anything like that before.
He claimed that even a Sovereign realm wouldn’t have this kind of threatening power he just used. After this event I tried to excess out all the anger I had, sure I still have some but most of them are gone.
I quickly felt a chilly thing coming down my spine and I snapped back to reality. After remembering that again and I quickly felt saddened over the fact of my brother supposed betrayal. The whole explanation was very vivid when master told me it almost looked like he was hiding something from me but I didn’t say anything else.

After hours of walking again finally I saw a big village surrounded by a large wooden wall guarded by guards all the time.
As I walk through the gates I heard one of the guards saying “Halt stranger!” one of the masked guards said with a deep voice.
“Where are you from stranger?” the guard asked while looking at my clothing and if I had any kind of weapon.
“City of Bourges, Kingdom of Scarth” I said.
The guard quickly became silence and didn’t say utter a single word until one the other guards said
“..Bourges..? Kingdom of Scarth..? The guard asked questioningly almost look like he was dumbfounded of some kind.
“Yes is there some kind of problem?” I asked worryingly
“Well... Haven’t you heard what happened to the famous faction?” the guard asked
And quickly added “Darkwind faction got utterly annihilated 2 months ago, the royal family of Scarith hired almost all the faction to destroy the Darkwinds, no one survived and because of this they also killed everyone in the Bourges, it was one big genocide if you asked me” the guard said with a disgusted tone.
The other guards quickly said “Oh yeah, sorry about your family if you have anyone” the guard said with good intentions.
Both guards quickly gestured their hands that you can go in.
So I looked at both a gave a small bow to both and left. I started to look for the nearest tavern and saw one so I went there.
I went to the front desk and rented a 2 week stay.

[POV Hunter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!]
I woked up from a dark cell again chained alone, well it is well worth it I said. Before my family got attacked I got everyone to leave, and I stayed alone to buy sometime for them to leave. I bless for them to be safe my family.
I quickly remembered of that faithless night when I saw a tiny hope of living because of the few dozen strong beasts surrounding us I had one choice but to kill my brother to give him a painless death. I love Josh. He is probably one of the only people who I deeply respect, shunned by my other brother and father he preserve on having a good day trying not to destroy anyone’s day with him. His a very nice kid.
It saddens me to kill him at that point until as I was about to give him a painless death the sword from my hand vanished and the beasts who were roaring to us suddenly quieted. I looked back slowly and saw a pool of blood of dead beast. I quickly turned back and saw a white haired man there looking at both of us. My brother suddenly mumbled some word then he lost consciousness. I looked back at the expert who saved us and begged him to help us and heal him. But he gave me an ultimatum he’ll save me or he’ll save my brother. I didn’t have to think at all I chose to save my brother. The expert got caught from surprise and suddenly made a faint smile appear on his face and he nodded satisfactory.
He quickly took my brother but before he left, I told him I will repay him back and I am Hunter Sarich, heir of the Darkwind faction and that was my brother Josh Sarich. I quickly shouted once again with a few ounce of my power to tell my brother that I betrayed him so he doesn’t come back to the City. Why? Because I already knew about the genocide that was going to take place 1 and half years prior to this date, I learned it from one of my missions.
I suddenly felt darkness coming to my grasp and I fell unconscious. The next day I woked up in the same spot with the few dozen elemental peak beasts laying there dead, I ran as quick as I can to go back to the city, then after a few days after I got there. I told my family everything but changed a few stories. I said Josh died from the elemental beasts saving my life. My mother cried while my other brother and my dad acted to be devastated of this fact but in reality they were jumping in joy the black sheep of this family died. I got angered of this fact, and quickly revealed to my mother after the meeting I had with the family. But I specifically instructed her to not tell anyone.
“BANG!” A loud sound resonated with the cell and I snapped back to reality. I quickly searched where the sounds came from.

On the Road to Elspar (Book 1)
The year is 1329. The Huntress' War has entered its tenth year, inflaming competing nationalisms and pitting the Confederacy of Caldrein against one of the continent's superpowers, the Tenereian Union. Desperately outnumbered, the Confederacy has relied on the prowess of its famed Caldran mercenaries, with highly-trained and experienced warbands returning from foreign conflicts to the defense of their homeland, and it is on their backs that Caldrein has successfully mounted a valiant defense for a decade. But they are losing, and day by day, with all the grace of a sledgehammer, the vast Tenereian armies take one more bit of Caldran territory, one footstep at a time. Sixteen-year-old Neianne from the village of Caelon has submitted herself to Faulkren Academy, one of the centuries-old institutions established to train the next generation of Caldrein's elite soldiers of fortune, to learn the ways of wars for three years before embarking upon the defense of her country. Her dryad family once hailed from reclusive woodland communes isolated from Caldrein's complicated mainstream society, and her upbringing leaves the shy village girl unprepared to suddenly train alongside other apprentices from backgrounds as low as the dirty slums of Caldrein's cities and as high as the halls of aristocratic power. Yet the war is eroding the norms and traditions that the Caldran people have long considered part of their national mythos, and the tensions within the confederacy that have long simmered under the surface - race, class, community, identity - are slowly but surely dividing its people, and Neianne must grow and discover who she really is, even as the war that she is steadfastly training for comes to its inexorable end... On the Road to Elspar is a fantasy quest - a work of interactive fiction wherein readers get to vote on what happens next at critical junctures - that is the first entry in a story that follows Neianne of Caelon, which first began on July 20, 2016. Originally a three-part in medias res prologue to a larger story titled On the Elsparian Road, it was eventually decided that this section - which covers Neianne's three years at Faulkren Academy - become its own independent story due to length, structural, and accessibility reasons. Despite this being a reader interactive work of fiction, due to logistical and verification concerns, voting will only be counted on its thread on the forum Sufficient Velocity, where this story originally began. As such, the content here on Royal Road serves as a story-only archive. You are, of course, entirely welcome to enjoy On the Road to Elspar as a conventional work of fiction, just as you are welcome to comment, discuss, and provide critique. But if you would like to participate in the voting, then I would be honored to welcome you on Sufficient Velocity. To facilitate accessibility and to ensure the best reading experience, this story-only version of On the Road to Elspar will be updated at a periodic pace, even though further content exists, so as to not overwhelm new readers on Royal Road. If you enjoy this story, wish to binge it, and/or want to participate in voting immediately, you may of course read all additional content via the link provided above.
