“This is what you called Affinity Gem.” Tarien said while looking at me.

“Wait, what?” I asked him while staring at the artifact with disbelief. “How did you get this…?” I started looking back at him in shock and saw a faint grin in his face.

“Well, seems you do know what this is.” Tarien said while staring at the Affinity Gem.

“I never saw the fuss for these gems in my experience, it’s better to first hand learn your capabilities rather than trusting this kind of items.” Tarien said solemnly.

“BOOM!” the Gem quickly shattered when Tarien used his full strength to destroy the Gem with his hands.

I look at the gem with disbelief the gem is destroyed; only pieces of it are left. I couldn’t… think straight at this moment everything just came to fast. This gem is undoubtedly a rare and priceless artifact in fact, it was so rare that it is said that there are only 100 of these were made. At this moment there were only 42 of these were found. But right here and now one of the other 68 is destroyed.

“Uh… why?” I asked him almost tearing up

“Why you ask?” Tarien said while scratching his back

“I got bored and I wanted to show you your potential.” He added while still scratching his back!

You got BORED?! ARE YOU THIS DUMB? THIS IS A PRICELESS ARTIFACT YOU IDIOT! I started cursing him in my head.

“My potential?” I quickly ask in intrigue

“I want you to be my disciple I want to teach you everything I know!” He told while resting his hands on his lap.

“Me? A disciple? R…really?” I ask again with disbelief eyes

“Yep” Tarien casually said and started sitting down in the bed

“Yes please” I said trying, to regain my composure

“Well, now that’s settled try to walk for me!” Tarien ask in a serious voice

I quickly stood up and in my surprise there was no pain at all.

“Now that’s settled, let’s start training!” Tarien, told me in a loud voice and gestured his hands to follow him.

We quickly went outside and Tarien told me to me to attack him with all I got.

I ran up to him and punch him in the face, but I was easily dodged and Tarien went ahead and trip me.

“AHAHAHA” Tarien burst out of laughter after seeing me fall down “This is going to be a fun training” he told me while trying to hold off the last bit of laugh he has.

“Again!” he said loudly

I quickly stood up and ran to try to punch him just as I was going to punch him, he disappeared and appeared in my left and quickly took control of my left hand and took my hand up till I felt a great surge of pain coming. As I was about shout, he let me go and push me.

“Again” Tarien once again said but now in a more calm voice.

“You’ve finally done it!” a man from his late 30’s spoke.

The man has white long hair and easily compliments his dark purple eyes. As he spoke you can feel a small fragrance of elegance every time he spoke. This person was none other than Tarien.

A hand suddenly went near Tarien and spoke “Want a hand?” the young man said.

This man is Josh; Josh at this point is no longer young, he is now considered as an adult in this world. He was no longer the same Josh 2 years ago. Josh was trained by the famous expert Tarien Hellwind. In these two years he quickly matured and broke to saint a year ago. Right after he broke from saint, he quickly got some insights and easily broke through the ranks of saint till he got caught up with Tarien. To his surprise yesterday he broke off to Red saint.

Today was the very first day he defeated Tarien. Josh learned many valuable experiences from this. Today you’re graduating from being my disciple Josh while I pat his shoulders.

These two years have been a hell of a ride, I told myself, I think I just created a monster when I first saw him, he was a rank one warrior now his a red saint in under two years and beat me in a fight when he just broke through. What a monster I said in my mind.

“Well, Josh it’s time for you to leave, but before you leave I want to give you something” I said while smiling with pride.

I took out a small purse from my pocket and gave it to Josh.

“Master?” Josh asked in a questioning voice.

“Take it,” I said firmly and took his hand and forcefully gave it to him.

I slowly open the bag and saw 100 pieces of gold. This is an absurd amount of gold I thought to myself.

I took a peak of master and saw him smiling.

“Th… this is too much master” I said while thinking how he got this much money because one gold is already a big money because for a normal commoner they get about 200 silvers a year and 1000 silvers Is one gold.

“It’s fine I still have a lot” Tarien said in a calm voice.

“Besides, this is my parting gift for you my greatest pride” Tarien added while smiling and showing some teeth in his right.

“Master…” I said trying to control my tears.

“I shall take my leave then master, ” I said and quickly bowed to him one last time and then started to look behind me. As I

was leaving master said one last word that took me by surprise, he said “Call me Darion that’s my real name you earn it”

A small tear came down of my eyes. But I still didn’t look back because if I do I would never leave.

Today I left my master’s, no Darion’s house.
