《Ex-mob boss in another world》Back in the capital

“You……” Lord Ezekial said squinting his eyes.
“Hey, nice to meet yah again been long enough hasn’t it?”
Lord Ezekial discards my words and continues to speak.
“We’ve gotten reports from the last couple of days describing a headless monster destroying villages.”
He looks past me eyeing Elizabeth.
“I presume that is the person that has caused this ruckus?”
I look back at Elizabeth and she is not doing ok, she’s been twitching with anger and who knows when all that built up fury will be unleashed.
Alexandria as if she was able to read my mind started to hold back Elizabeth anyway she could without out raising too much suspicion.
The heavily armored people behind the lord raised their weapons in a guard stance, probably a reaction to the overwhelming aura emitted from Elizabeth.
As an attempt to try and lower suspicion, I try to bullshit my way out of this.
“Who? Her? Cause a ruckus? She’s with us and we just got here.”
“But she seems to fit the description quite well.”
“You sure? Must’ve been someone else.”
“HA! HA! HA!.”
That's one odd laugh, I got a bad feeling about this.
“RAGHHHH!!!!”
Elizabeth flew from behind me attempting to land a hit onto lord Ezekial but then a magic circle appeared under everyone's feet, it emitted a bright pink colored haze.
My eyelids become heavy and my breathing became more relaxed. After one blink I find myself on the ground vision blurry, no strength in my body, and Alexandria as well so was Elizabeth.
You……..son…….of a……..bitch.
I get knocked out cold.
I wake up on a cold stone floor, in general the whole place had a low temperature.
I see that both Alexandria and Elizabeth have already woken up and are sitting backs against the wall.
“I-I’m sorry.” Elizabeth mumbled.
“Sorry?!?!? Were in this mess because of you!.”
“Calm down Alexandria, it’s fine, we still would’ve ended up here no matter what, that guy isn’t a fool.”
“Antonio your way too forgiving sometimes!”
“That may just be who I am, but we shouldn’t be focusing on how we got here but how we get out.”
That Ezekial guy isn’t dumb, he’s probably made being able to escape ten times more difficult.
“Can’t we just smash our way out?” Elizabeth asked.
“We can't, there’s a magic seal here, in fact multiple, some are small and the others quite large. We can’t break out because one of them prevents us from even making a scratch on the walls and another seal prevents the use of magic.”
“Magic is really powerful isn’t it, I don’t know anything about magic.” Said Elizabeth.
“So Alexandria what's our options?”
“Well we can either break the magic seal which none of us are capable of doing or get out of the range.”
He’s not making it easy for us is he?
“Where are we even?” Elizabeth asked.
There was a small barred window and past this bars you could see a lot of dirt, rubbish, and people without shoes.
“My guess is is that we’re back in the capital of the monster kingdom.”

“So what are our options?” Alexandria asked.
“Hm, wait and see what happens, I can’t get in touch with the gang in here but hopefully they come and get us, another option would be to wait for lord Ezekial to make his move first and work our way up from there.”
“You sure we can’t do anything right now?” Asked Elizabeth.
“There might be something but I don’t know what that something is.”
“So how long are we gonna wait?”
“Who knows, could be seconds, hours, or even maybe days, we just gotta hope for the best.”
I start to hear a couple of people walking, those people were lord Ezekial and his posse.
“Good evening ladies and my good sir, today I bring you news, you are to be executed publicly for conspiring with a criminal who has destroyed villages.”
I stop both Elizabeth and Alexandria from speaking up deciding to stay quiet just giving him a not so good look.
“Well that’s all the news for today, the public will be notified for this event, this country has no tolerance for criminals and people that conspire with them.”
“YOUR THE CRIMINAL!!!”
Elizabeth ignored my signals to stay quiet and lost control.
He gave her a sinister look.
“Criminal me? Absurd, we’ll this conversation is over, enjoy the rest of your day.”
So we're gonna be executed publicly huh? Sounds like a lot of fun don’t it? And not even a fair trial! I want to see my lawyer right now! Sigh, we gotta get outta here before tomorrow but who knows how to get out.
Suddenly the sound of something unlocking was heard, then the sound of a door slowly sway open.
Before the door opened I saw a shadow of someone, that person supposedly unlocked the door and left right after.
Who was that? Was he part of the gang? If he was he would've said something………….just who is that person?
I ask the other two about that person but it seems I was the only one to have had a glimpse of it, they nod in left to right.
”Anyway enough about this mystery person we gotta leave this place!” yelled out Elizabeth.”
We scurried out the door, we had nothing but our clothes, they took everything, our weapons, our cash, and other little unimportant items.
Upon exiting the cell we entered a long hallway, there were other cells similar to ours that were lined up side to side from each other.
The hallway was cold and dimly lit, anything from afar would be hard to see.
We notice a group of three people walking towards us from the left, although very hard to see those three people I could kind of make out what they were wearing, bright red cloaks.
We noticed them but I don’t think they noticed us, they kept on walking without any reaction.
I point at the group and put myself in a fake headlock signaling Alexandria and Elizabeth to knock them out.
Once they got close enough we got behind them and put them in a choke hold knocking them out cold.

They had a key ring with multiple keys hanging off it……….they must’ve been patrolling guards.
We wear the cloaks to hide our identities as we make our escape, we decided to go left because that was where these guards were coming from.
We walked in a fast and silent pace, alerting any other guards would be quite troublesome. The cells were pitch black and small rustling could be heard in each cell, I don’t know what’s in those cells and I don’t want to think about, probably the toughest bastards in the country due to the precaution taken for the cells.
Although they do lack good personnel from what we’ve experienced with those three that we left.
There must be more security then just those three right? It’s hard to believe Lord Ezekial would trust a couple of untrained rookies to watch over the worse of the worse. Just where are they?
I saw a faint light not too far from where we are, this light might be an indication of an exit. But I’m still suspicious, there has to be a person there.
Not to my surprise once we got to the light there was this tree man, his limbs were all wood and so was his head. He wore similar clothes to the men under lord Ezekials command.
“Hey you three!”
Shit has he found us out? Fuck it I’m ready to fight if he is too.
“Good job you three! Go take a break!”
He said that slowly as if he didn’t know what was happening. He just kept on being jolly and careless about the things around him.
When we escape I’m gonna feel bad about him because he’s probably gonna be punished for not keeping an eye out. But also thank you for making this easier for us.
We walk up the stone steps and once we got out of the dungeons planted our feet on some soft grass, the bright light from the sun attacked us, it was warm, blinding, and also very comforting. But this is no time to relax.
There were many others with the same attire as the one we’ve stolen and are now wearing. There were no signs of Ezekials personnel just people wearing cloaks.
There were smaller buildings spread out throughout the area, this did not look like a prison so the capital must’ve made some cuts during the making of this area.
Now that we’re out of the dungeon we need to find our belongings, if we just look around for it it might generate some suspicion and We’ll definitely be asked what were doing.
Another option would be to ask but that also generates suspicion, I’m gonna have to make an excuse.
I approach a nearby person and ask.
“Hey do you know where the captives weapons are? Lord Ezekial has requested that we bring them to him.”
“And you are?”
Knew he’d ask that good thing I came prepared.
“I’m Jerald johold, you might not recognize me because I’m new.”
“...........alright then………….we’ll the weapons are in that building with the purple banners outside of it.”
“Thanks.”
Somehow I managed to get the location of our things.
We make our way to the specified building avoiding as many people as we can. Once we arrived in front of the building there was a large wooden door as well as two guards.
These two guards wore different cloaks white with gold linings and instead of a hood over their head they had a large collar almost like a dog cone. They adorned an abundance of gold badges and pins that glistened in the bright sun. They also had black gloves with small gold plates on each knuckle.
These guys kill and only kill, I might not be a hundred percent correct but I feel it in my gut.
These two guards had Snow White hair and blood shot eyes. They also shared almost identical facial features, they are probably related to each other.
They stared intently at the three of us but made no sudden movements. It was only when we got closer to the wooden door that the two guards reacted.
“State your business here.”
Both of them said that at the same time, they even said it in the same monotone voice.
“Lord Ezekial has requested for the newly captured prisoners weapons.”
“An order from lord Ezekial? Do you have any letters detailing this order?”
The way they mirror each other really makes my back shiver.
“No I don’t have any letter but it was a verbal order, these two were also there, they’ll act as first account witnesses.”
I nudge the both of them.
“Y-Yeah.” Said Elizabeth.
“Yes we have been given those orders.” Said Alexandria.
“Alright you can enter.”
Well that was easier than expected, really got me on the edge.
The door now behind us closes shut and two people could be heard behind us.
“You three are the prisoners.” The two familiar voices said.
We turn around and it was the two guards.
Shit they found us out, well I’m ready to fight whenever.
“So how did you know the three of us were the prisoners?”
“We know because there are no females that wear cloaks, most of the females are in the upper class and personal units of Lord Ezekial.”
“Hm, smart bunch you two.”
“Don’t make us out as fools we aren’t like the rest of them.”
“Yeah I can tell.”
“Now you have two choices, you can either peacefully go back to your cells and enjoy your last hours until your execution or prepare to die right here and now.”
“I’d like to choose the option to leave this place and go home.”
“Death it is!”
Those two started bolting right at us and then disappeared from sight.
“Where are our weapons?!?!” Yelled Elizabeth.
Alexandria, since her equipment for combat is magic based she summoned it.
“I don’t know search for them I’ll keep those two at bay if I can find them!” Yelled Alexandria.
And so we try to search for our weapons as Alexandria held back the two creepy guys.
