I glance over at Alexandria and she seems to be struggling with getting free, on closer examination the rope used had magic symbols. If they were normal rope it wouldn’t have been a problem.

I have a feeling about who might’ve done this.

From the darkness a figure of a person could be seen, once they got closer I could finally see his face, he had the same tattoo that was on the three guys we met before.

“So I’ve heard that you two have really caused quite a ruckus in my city.”

“And who might you be?”

“Well, I’m the boss of the shadow face clan.”

He glances at Alexandria.

He came face to face with her and smiles while she gives him a menacing stare.

“What sight she is! You really are quite a lucky man huh? Well, I guess I’ve just ended your lucky streak haven’t I?”

He lets out a sinister laugh.

”il teach you two what happens when you mess with us.”

More guys came out from the darkness with all kinds of weapon. All of them looked at Alexandria and whispered to each other and then they laughed.

I take a look at how she’s doing and she is furious.

Both my legs and arms are tied to the chair so getting out isn’t gonna be easy. And if we do get out two against twenty or so guys isn’t gonna be easy.

I think about the ways we could get out, to the back of us was a stone wall and in front many guys ready to pounce.

Wait what if I break my bones and slip through? The rope is tied around my ankles and wrists so if I break them I could give them the slip and they’ll heal right after. I don’t like the idea but it’s the best I’ve got.

The gang boss spoke.

“Go get em boys!”

As they got closer I could hear more of their whispers. A lot of them were very rude towards Alexandria.

Well, it’s do or die time!

I snap my ankles making my leg straight and break my fingers in the process of pulling them out, doing that I was able to get out of the ropes.

The shadow face gang all watched in disgust as well as Alexandria.

“What in the hell!?!?”

“That’s just wrong!!!!”

“Disgusting!!!”

All the guys expressed their disgust about the actions I’ve just taken but it’s the best thing I could do, they really didn’t make it easy.

My bones healed instantly, I saw a big and slow guy walking towards me holding a large knife.

Since I didn’t have a weapon on me I picked up a chair and smashed it against his face making him drop his knife, picking up the knife I quickly cut Alexandria’s bindings freeing her.

Alexandria drew a magic symbol and what came out of it was her weapon of choice, a giant sword.

Now they have an angry strong sword-wielding demon and a ghoul with a knife to deal with.

“What are you guys standing there for?!?!? Get them!!!”

The members of this gang were quite diverse, many people that looked like animals and some just look unusual.

One guy with some kind of club walked up, he swung low which made his top part unguarded, I went for his neck but he moved at the right moment leaving only a light cut.

He then did a head level swing, I ducked and once I got up I wrapped my left arm around his right making him unable to defend himself and stabbed him multiple times in the gut.

Untrained mob soldiers are a real downside, Especially if it’s a world where guns don’t exist.

Alexandria is cutting multiple people down a quick pace, I don’t blame her for being annoyed, they did say some very rude things, anyone would be mad about that.

The crowd of gang members lowered to only a couple people left, and at that point, their morale had gone down the shitter and they started to high tail it out.

All that was left were a bunch of bodies, an angry demon girl and a gang boss begging for his life.

“P-please don’t kill me I beg you!!!”

Alexandria was already ready to skewer him until I stopped her.

“And why’s that? Why shouldn't we kill you?”

“U-m uhhhh I-i control this gang and this gang is what makes this city not a shit hole since the human empire banned the monster empire from trading goods with other places we do it for the people that make goods here since their too scared to illegally do it themselves.”

“I’m guessing you also take advantage if this illegal trade?”

“T-That is true but if I’m gone then this place will go down the shitter for sure!”

“Alright, I’ll keep you alive.”

“Your kidding right Antonio!?!? Look at what he’s done to us! No way we can let him live! I’ll end him right here!”

She pointed her sword at the gang leader ready to make him into mincemeat at any moment.

“Calm down, we can use him. You’ll still run the gang as usual but instead of you being the boss I am, you're going to work for me.”

“I-i would love to work for you, sir!!!”

“What kind of advantages to you take from the illegal trade?”

“We tax every item going in and out, 7 gold Melililles. We also are able to take whatever for free.”

“7 gold is quite a bit, lower it to 5 silver.”

“Only five?!?! How are we gonna make money then?”

“If it’s cheap to bring in and bring out products more people will do it, also how many people are in this group?”

“Ten thousand throughout the three major cities and towns, about four thousand in this city.”

“Alright, Well also make a mission organization, people will be able to hire groups of our members to do certain jobs.”

“S-sounds like an idea boss!!!”

“All the money goes to me, I’ll distribute it amongst all the member equally, now go and tell all the other members about what just happened this day.

“You got it!!!”

He disappears into the darkness.

“Antonio I still think letting him live is a bad idea.”

“Don’t worry if he ever does anything we’ll kill him ok?”

“Alright.”

“Can you portal us back into the hotel?”

“Nope.”

“Wait what do you mean!?!?”

“Just kidding! Of course, I can, haha! The look on your face!”

She really got me there…….at least her moods gotten better.

We both step into the portal which transported us inside the room.

The beginning of my gang was today and from there I’m gonna grow it until I have members living on every side of the world! We’ll be the biggest gang, we’ll be rich! And nothing will stop up not even the United States government!!!

“Antonio you're making a really disturbing face.”

Whoops got a little ahead of myself, can’t believe I brought up the United States government in another world, I really gotta forget about these personal affairs or they’ll really come back and bite me in the ass.

It looked quite early outside, the sun was still out and the streets were crowded. Plenty of time left to do what we want.

“Hey, Antonio there’s a place I want to go to.”

“Fine by me.”

“I’ll lead the way to the place.”

I put on my suit and she wore her armor. We walked out of the hotel and I followed her to our destination which was a library.

“May I ask why we're here?”

“Well I wanted to learn new things, I did have books in the manor but those were only educational books like mathematics, I want information about the outside world.”

I’m gonna have to learn as well, it’ll help to know this world.

The library was a large wooden building and had steps leading up to large open double doors.

The library could be seen from throughout the city, some say that this library is even visible to the other two cities but I need to confirm that myself.

We walk up the steps and enter passing the opened doors, inside was all wood furniture, wood chairs, desks, bookshelves and more.

There was a lot of people in the library, people in robes, suits and some is rags. It seemed like this library is public and free but that isn’t always a good thing, the mix of different people may cause problems in the future, hell I wouldn’t be surprised if those sorts of problems already occurred.

Alexandria quickly asked the librarian who had a deer skull a bulls body and bat wings. The librarian told her something and she ran disappearing in amongst the crowd of people.

Ugh, it’s gonna be a pain trying to find her, this place is really big with bookshelves in every corner. Well better start looking for what I came for.

Each bookshelf had labels, mathematics, magic, magic creatures, languages, history, geography, and many other topics, I pick up a couple of book from the geography, history, and magic sections.

I sit at an available seat and opened a geography book, the language used in this world was similar to English, speaking was the same and both have a similar alphabet. The A in this world is written differently but still produces the same sound so I’ve pretty much picked it up during my time here.

Inside the geography book was a detailed map of the world, empires were outlined, rivers labeled, seas and oceans. There are three continents and apparently, we are in the continent Eslantial the continent to the west, there are two more continents labeled as just the north and the east.

To the right of the monster empire was the human empire, and to the left a place called Xrggsht. Two rivers run along the Eslantial continent, the Ulsin, and the Maximillle.

Well, that's enough geography for today, I only needed to know a bit more about the continent that I'm on, time from something else.

I look at the other books and what catches my eye are the history books.

The title of the book was “History of the world we live in”. The book was quite thin and looked centuries old.

Well, time to learn about the world I'm currently living in.

There are two realms, one where mortals live and the other is where the magic gods dwell. The magic gods came down from their homeland Nishtglkbed which means the land of the greats and they used their powerful magic to create a new world. They supplied this new world large bodies of land, water, and magic. Soon magic beings started to form due to the amount of magic that was in the land, these beings were known as the Jiklvbshg. These beings used their magic to fuse different things together producing more life.

There are many magic gods some major and others minor. There are five major magic gods, Kilopgl, Opksfiop, Dhsia, Mahil, and Igenor. Each god responsible for many things and each one more powerful than the strongest mage.

There is a prophecy, one day the magic gods will come again and see that their world has been taken away by mortals and they will take it back by force ending life in this world.

And that's it, the book ends there. The rest of the pages of the book look to have been either ripped off or burned.

The book gave off an ominous feeling…………………...I think I'm done for today.

I put all the books back where I found them and started to look for Alexandria.

Where did she even go?

There were so many tables and that made it hard for me to find her.

I see someone alone at a table, head down and covered by an arm, long black hair, and horns.

Looks like I found her but why is her head down? Why is she covering it with her arm? Well, the only way I'll know is if I ask her.

I walk up to her and ask her what's shes doing and she looks up.

“Oh, it's you.”

Her eyes were red and she had tears running down on both her cheeks.

What in the world happened?
