《The Creep of Fate - Dropped》Chapter 17

“That would explain it.”
“Explain what?”
“Why you naturally know about bonds and curses.”
“Was Asmodeus known for curses?”
“He was known for a lot of things but seals and curses were his specialty.”
“Seals?”
“Things to bind down existences that normally can’t be killed.”
“Examples please.”
“For example you can seal a ghost.”
“So you can't kill ghosts?”
“Sorry ghosts are a bad example. A better example are demons.”
“Just to clarify is there a difference between demons and devils?”
“Yes, devils have more freedom while demons must follow contracts."
“How do you talk about demons/devils in general?”
“You call demons and devils Daemons.”
“Anyways, can you come into the physical plane so I don’t have to walk to the forest?”
A golden ray of light landed in front of me and he appeared in his animal form. He was as stunning as ever. I don’t ever think that I will be able to make the noble aura that he admits. I mount upon him and he canters towards the forest. He suddenly starts picking up pace into a gallop and when he jumps I fall off onto the ground. He continues to gallop away.
“HEY!”
“What?”
“I fell off.”
I see him look back and suddenly starts galloping back. When he arrives back to me I mount upon him and said “You need to warn me when you jump.”
“And you need to learn how to ride a horse.”
“I do but you also need to be a better steed.”
“You consider me a steed?”
“No I don’t consider you a steed I consider you a friend.”
I could feel anger rising within him.
“Then why did you call me a steed.”

I didn’t know what to say because I had no reason to call him a steed. I sent him regret and guilt towards him. I hope that he would forgive me for what I said. He sent me a slur of emotions it was mainly confusion. Because my purpose off showing my intentions were showed I asked “Why are you confused?”
“I thought you don’t like exposing your feelings?”
“I don’t but if I need to send my intentions to you I will temporarily unlock it.”
“You permanently unlocked it.”
I tried to close the gates of my emotions but it wouldn’t shut. I tried everything I could think of, building a new gate, trying to stop the river flow but nothing happened. I started to panic. Before panic overwhelmed me I activated the amulet and started to think about what I could do to fix this and after a minute or two I couldn’t think of any solutions. I started to think about the advantages and disadvantages of this. After organizing my thoughts into an imaginary bullet list I determined that Sebastian and I probably bond faster, will have more trust and the disadvantage is me not having my privacy. Now that I think about it’s not that big of a disadvantage because I will have to give it up at some point. I try transmitting my thoughts through the river.

Arcane Engines: Alchemist’s Scheme
A seemingly chance encounter with an ancient machine and an assassination attempt threaten to disrupt Veil’s education at the premier mage academy of Ithalaan. The bombings and terrorist actions that follow throw the entire region into chaos and draw him inexorably deeper into a mystery involving cults, gods, and ancient mysterious races. These events threaten Veil’s carefully crafted plans, but there are few limits on his ambition. He is willing to do whatever it takes to advance his schemes to become a Magus, including pursuing the illegal discipline of soul magic. While Veil isn’t a powerful mage yet, his spell wrought guns and illicit abilities will help even the playing field. The need to face down his enemies and fulfill his ambitions will send him desperately searching from Forerunner ruins in the Great Northern Forest to ancient abyssal cities within the depths of the planet. _________________________________________________________________ The book is primarily fantasy with a steampunk background. Science fiction elements won't be introduced for quite some time. I currently update my work at a rate of one chapter per week. I'm also in the process of editing chapters 1 - 7, changing the format to make it more readable, and introducing more show and less tell. The reworked chapters will have (edited) after the title. All chapters after 8 have already been written in the new style. I have a Patreon page if you wish to donate. Also, there will be intense situations, some explicit violence, and although it is not an erotic work, one or two sex scenes.

Magician's Pact
A young boy with a special key finds himself caught up with an old wizard, an ancient prohpecy, and a possibly conspercy. This sounds like the sort of thing most childern would love to be a part of, but there are just three small problems. The first is that he is not the hero. Someone already got that role. The second is that he isn't a wizard. He is a Magician which complicates things. The third is that there might be a chance that the whole 'problem' might be comming from his end. Personally he never understood (or interacted with) the 'secret' magical world, but that becomes a problem when the magical world apparently has what his role is supposed to be according to their ancient book... and they are not to happy about him not matching their book. Still it shouldn't be to hard right? All he has to do is go to a school, learn some wizard magic, make sure nobody takes his key... also avoid dying. Thankfully he has had a lot of expereince with that last part and a bunch of Twig Twirling childern can't be too dangerious? Right?

NPC MAKER
Jan 1, 2022 Edit: Happy near years! Sorry for the long delays once again, I hope to write more frequently. The NPC-MAKER only has one goal… and that is to rule the world with his NPCs! He has the power to create any NPC he desires as long as he has the resources for it. He was obviously going to create slave NPCs to gather resources so he can focus on making more NPCs. There are way too many enemies in the world trying to kill him so he must create many NPCs stronger than himself to defend him and his empire! Unfortunately, he finds himself stranded in the desert with nothing around. He must survive the harsh conditions and hopefully create NPCs to help him. ~ What to Expect ~ - Lots of NPC interactions. Arc 1 Desert Survival Chapter 1 to... ( work in progress)
