《The Creep of Fate - Dropped》Chapter 16

I tried to convince Joseph to let me into the palace but he said “You can enter when you have the qualifications to enter the palace.”
I don’t even know what the requirements are to enter the palace. I decided since I don’t have any money I will just go in the forest and train. I just remember I haven’t seen Sebastian for around a month. I reach to him through my bond. “Hey, Sebastian can you hear me?”
“I can hear you but where were you? I tried to talk to you but you wouldn’t respond.”
“I got this cool amulet and Emma said I was influenced by sloth.”
I suddenly felt a sense of surprise even though there was nothing for me to be surprised about.
“Oh sorry I just forgot to hide my emotions.”
“Hide your emotions?”
“While you were under the influence of sloth we started the merging of minds. So now we can feel each other’s emotions.”
“Do we know each others thoughts?”
“Not yet but after the merging of bodies we will know all of each other’s influential memories.”
“How does the merging of bodies work and why do we know each other’s memories at the merging of bodies?”
“Don’t worry we don’t actually become one entity we gain an instinctual understanding of each other and we gain only the most important memories of our life at the merging of bodies because when something extremely important happens our emotions stick to our body and soul.”
“You mentioned that we don’t merge bodies before and our emotions are a substance?”
“No emotions aren’t a substance they just blast an imprint onto yourself or other people. I also haven’t experienced the merging of bodies before so I don’t really know how to explain it.”

“Is the imprint dangerous and then how do you know that we don’t merge bodies?”
“The imprint isn’t dangerous most of the time and I know because my family members had taught us how it works.”
“Do the imprints do anything and every pegasus merges their mind, body and soul to somebody?”
“The imprints can be useful. For example killing intent is just a manifestation of imprints of hatred blasted towards you when people die and almost every pegasus bonds with somebody not necessarily with their mind, body and soul.”
“What are all the uses and detriments of imprints?”
“Some mediums and psykers can use imprints to damage others or protect themselves.”
“Psychics?”
“Psychics are completely different then psykers. Psykers use imprints and the emotion realm to their advantages and psychics use their mind to manipulate objects or attack people’s minds.”
“Finally somebody tells me important facts when they come up.”
After I said that Sebastian didn’t respond so I just continued walking towards the forest. I continued to think about how to level up because even with the hard training with Joseph I have only gained 15% of the experience acquired to level up.
“You only have 15% of the experience because you are extremely powerful for your level so it will take a long time for you to level up because the experience scales with your strength. The advantage of that is that each level for you is gigantic and you can battle people way above your level. Now I have a question for you now.”
“Go on ahead with your question.
“How did you know the bond of mind, body and soul?
“I just came up with that wording why?”
“Because that bond is an ancient technique that has been lost for millennia.”

“Seemed pretty easy to figure out.”
“If you know the wording of course it’s easy it’s just that the technique was lost.”
I felt an ominous feeling surround me.
“Please stop doing that.”
“Sorry, I forgot but I need want to test something.”
“What do I need to do?”
“Just answer my questions. If you were to curse somebody what would be the chant you would use?”
“By the power of the Yin and Yang. By the power of Heaven and Hell. By the moon and its six stages. By the night of sorrow. I see thy heart broken. I see thy blood turned black. I see thy soul tatterted. I craft a curse behind your back. I will take my revenge and more. I take what you deem good. So leave me be.”
I felt utter shock.
“Who is your ancestor?”
“Asmodeus why?”

A Dungeon Tested
Its a hard life balancing all the things a successful dungeon should be doing. Will our newest addition to the dungeon race even survive let alone make it to the top where dungeons such as the megafauna roam? Or will our main character suffer in the dust till some inauspicious and ignoble death at the end of some F-rankers sword? Note this is me having some fun while I wait for new releases of dungeon stories. Feel free to comment on that basis. I will be keeping the first few chapters slow so as to give me plenty to build upon later. I have tentatively given this the gore tag for now. With that in mind "Let the games begin".

Oublivant
Oublivants: a category of dungeons characterised by the antithesis of life, necrosis. "Dungons as a whole tend towards the lethal side when it comes to exploring them; however, an oublivant actively seeks out destruction on a grand scale. No greater example of their deep hatred for life exists than the very first discovery of an oublivant. It was a massive dungeon spanning miles in all directions. It continuously expanded along the surface, so fast you could see it, and left nothing but a scorched, withered wasteland in its wake. Wherever the oublivant resides, nothing but the undead exist, as all living life has been eradicated. Why it is, exactly, the oublivant seem so against life so as to break the passive rule dungeons have is unknown. What is known, however, is that they're a threat that, upon discovery, is to be immediately eliminated." - Archomagus Addiom Onero, Court of VascilNote: This is my first story on royal road. It'd be nice if you were nice... nicely.
