《The Creep of Fate - Dropped》Chapter 9

I gave Sebastian a mental high-five.
(No sincerity but I will still accept because I am a merciless deity.)
There was an awkward silence that lasted for around a minute until I had to ask
“How do I get back to my plane?”
(Just spirit walk back to your plane and remember to touch Sebastian while you spirit walk.)
When I was spirit walking with Sebastian I felt like I wasn’t walking like last time it was more like me sprinting. After what seemed like an instant I arrived back at my Citadel.
“Master, I am going to transform into my human form.”
“You have a human form and why aren’t we talking mentally?
“We aren’t talking mentally because it consumes our energy and there is no reason to on the physical plane.”
“What reason is there on the spirit realm?”
“A slumbering spirit might awaken.”
“Wouldn’t we notice if a spirit is sleeping?”
“Maybe I could tell but you couldn’t even tell if you were standing in one.”
“How could I be inside of a spirit?”
“Do you think after all that time you would only find me in the spirit world?”
“I did find that sort of weird but wouldn’t I see weaker spirits?”
“No because otherwise all you would see would be spirits.”
“So I can only see spirits of my power level?”
“No, because if you really need to find a spirit of lower of higher power you can see them but you need to actively try to.”
“Why could I see you then if you are supposedly stronger than me?”
“Because it compares our strength in the Spirit World not other planes.”
“How can I be as strong as you in the Spirit World?”

“You’re a Spirit Knight for one and also Kitsune are also Spirits but because you are a divine Spirit you are born in the physical world.”
“Divine Spirit?”
“Divine Spirits are the strongest Spirits both in Battle Power and talent.”
“Battle power?”
“Emma really hasn’t explained much has she?”
“Nope.”
“Battle Power is how strong you are for your level. For example geniuses usually can beat people above their level.”
“How do you gage Battle Power?”
“It’s usually gaged by how many levels you can overcome.”
“What is your Battle Power?”
“15”
“Is that a lot?”
“10 was the highest record before me.”
“Do levels really mean that much?”
“I guess you wouldn’t know because you haven’t leveled up but 1 level is gigantic.”
“What does 1 level give you?”
“Stat points, skill points and new skills. Of course it depends on what level and what class but 1 level is usually huge.”
“What do you mean it depends on what level?”
“Some levels give you new skills which gives you a spike in power. For example Paladins get Angelic Form at level 50 which is a giant boost. If a level 49 Paladin can beat a level 50 Paladin you are considered a monster.”
“Emma hasn’t explained exactly how you level up. So do you just kill stuff to gain exp?”
“She hasn’t even explained this?”
“Nope, I assume I know less than a kid?”
“You know a little bit more than a kid but not much. Anyways you gain experience points when you push your limits. You usually get experience points when you kill stuff but you can also gain exp by preserving through something really boring. It all depends on the person.”

“How do I increase skill levels?”
“You gain skill levels by understanding more efficient or more creative ways to use them. Or you could also use skill points.”
“Okay that’s good to know.”
“Anyways I am going to transform into my human form now.”
Sebastian suddenly transformed to a mass of gold and then mass started shifting to the form of a human. When he turned into a human he was gigantic. He was around 8 to 9 feet tall and had arms the size of legs and legs the size of trees. I was stunned when I thought of Sebastian as a human I thought of a person with toned yet elegant muscles and with pure golden hair. Not a hulking behemoth with dirty blonde hair.
In a voice that seemed like even a demon couldn’t escape out of its depth Sebastian said “My body transformation technique needs me to maintain a similar amount of body mass.”
I was to stunned to respond and when I could finally speak I asked “Can you raise up your eyebrow and stare at me?”
When he raised his eyebrow to seemed like the heavens all I could think of is that he looks like the rock. I laughed so hard that I was rolling on the floor.
“Master are you alright?”
I barely managed to say “No you just look to much like somebody I know.”
“If you are alright then we need to go gain experience.”
“I know just let me stop laughing.”
When I finally stopped laughing I stood up and started to follow Sebastian out the door.

Protagonist: The Whims of Gods
Book one now also on Amazon! After quitting her job as a therapist and grabbing some work at a dog shelter, Tess's life became pretty slow. A tad boring, even. It thus came as no small surprise when she was chosen by a god. Thrust into a new world where magic, monsters, and character levels are suddenly a reality, Tess will quickly find that just surviving can be a challenge. It doesn't help that dark forces are stirring, she's woefully underpowered, and that spiders keep trying to claw her face off. One thing's for certain, though: The possibilities are endless. Will she end up wrestling a dragon? Becoming an arch-mage? Opening a quaint, bookstore, coffee shop, and wine bar for elves? The choice is hers... As long as she can live long enough to make it. Protagonist is a fairly classic LitRPG novel with character levels, classes, stats, settlements, and other LitRPG elements. Unlike a lot of LitRPG stories, while the protagonist has some perks, she doesn't start off overpowered. You can expect to see her struggle as she advances. This novel also takes the opportunity to explore some less frequently seen builds, shying away from any min-maxing. Chapters are about ~2000-3000 words and are released at 8:00am ET every other day.

A Step Behind Death
Please share your thoughts about the story! Feedback and criticism is welcome, it'll help me improve my writing. "The final year of high school is the most difficult." This statement has never been truer for Damis, a student attending one of the many schools in the City of Sundridge. He never wanted anything more than to live a peaceful life, going so far as to avoid having large group of friends, indulging in dragged out conversations, or being involved in any other activity that requires him to invest a large amount of effort to accomplish. Instead, he poured all of his efforts into studying, dwelling in his internal monologues, and complaining about the things that annoy him to his one and only friend, Noah. Before long, he ended up as one of the best students in his class. As far as he was concerned, he was content with how he lived. But, after a confrontation with an eccentric girl named May, one of his classmates since the first year of high school, things have suddenly gotten out of hand. And as a result, his life became a lot more hectic than it used to be. Bound by a deal he could not refuse, his life as May's assistant began. At this rate, can he still spend the final days of his high school life in peace? Welcome to the life of Damis, the boy who's always A Step Behind Death. The cover art is made by friend of mine. I plan on making this novel into a webtoon once it becomes the best it can be. English isn't my first language, so expect some grammar bumps along the way.
